Great quality and better prices in 2019 are a good enticement to shop, particularly for essentials. Service is always good. It's not the biggest M&S in Edinburgh and perhaps tries to stock a bit of everything e.g. cards, wrapping paper, candles etc. to the detriment of clothing lines. Bureau de Change, Food Hall and a revamped cafe are also co-located in the building. Parking immediately adjacent is always busy and just requires patience. However a recent change to the till area, will be carnage at Christmas, if it stays as is. Even relatively quiet today and the queue was obstructing the main aisle. The customer in front and the couple behind both commented on it being absurd.

Just back from a visit to Marks & Spencer Fort Kinnaird, I borrowed a wheelchair for my disabled mum (we were there to get her some new trousers) we picked up 2 pairs and ended our visit with a fruit scone and coffee at the cafe. The shop and cafe were both busy but we had a good visit and the staff were lovely and helpful.

Feedback from my active nonagenarian mum ..who visited Thursday afternoon - her 'favourite local store' (as it happens). On finding she had mislaid her reading glasses she called that evening to enquire if these had been handed in. At that point they hadn't, but to her surprise and delight the following morning she received Friday morning a lovely member of staff to say they had been found. She is so very grateful! Thank you. 😀

The cafe was busy with a long queue when we arrived just before 1pm. There were 2 till points serving customers so the queue went down quickly. The lady on the till was smiley & helpful. I took a seat at a table that needed cleared as did the tables either side. I put the dishes onto one tray on the next table that would seat 4 people. People were looking for clean tables but none of the tables around us were cleared or wiped during the 30 minutes we were there. The large Americano's with hot milk, toasted sandwich (turkey,bacon,brie) & iced bun were all fresh & tasty. The food & drinks were good value for money! M&S need to up their staff training and/or staff numbers. The staff are bringing food to tables then walking back to the kitchen ignoring the tables that need to be cleared.

I really thank Karen for the advices and help in selecting the suitable type of maternity clothing as I am soon to be a first time mum❤️&have no clue what sizes I should get as I've grown out of my current clothes. Got a lovely pair of trousers and then into foosball for a few lovely treats. Bought some salad stuff and new coleslaw with yoghurt dressing looks fab and sweet potato salad with low fat dressing is fantastic. Ate a bit already and taste is so good. Yum yum!!!!

Food hall very nice and well stocked. However, was looking for Christmas presents and was not impressed by lack of larger sizes in store and by range of clothes overall. As usual women's clothes not up to much although men's have better classic styles. Better to look online.

Absolutely outstanding customer service received by a lovely lady. Didn't catch her name, but she was very helpful. I was shopping for school uniforms for my 4 year old twins starting school in August and I was a wee bit stressed with it, but she managed to relieve the stress. I was looking specifically for blazers but they didn't have any in stick, but it was suggested to order them into store for collection tomorrow after noon. And to also discover there was a 20% discount on uniforms was a massive bonus!!

Managed to order the items I needed for delivery to store next day and went to the cafe for some lunch. Don't know if folk are training in the kitchen right now, but this is the second long wait I have had in recent weeks for a bacon roll or soup to be heated! My advice is this - if you order hot food and want a hot drink, delay the hot drink being dispensed to you until your food comes, otherwise you will have finished it before starting on your food. It wasn't even that busy! Come on M&S - you can do much better than this!

I am writing this on behalf of my friend and her husband and myself,her husband and myself both have to use a walking stick and have difficulty standing and this was noticed by a member of your staff as we waited to enter the cafe area.He showed us to seat while we waited then showed us to a table,asked what we needed and then proceded to help.His name is moray and we just wanted to let you know he is credit to the store. His caring manor was excellent.

The store is super clean and food is beautifully displayed. As a disabled person I like the wide ailses in the shop which makes it easy to get around. The staff I met were very friendly and willing to help me get things off top shelves. They also had friendly conversation which made me feel they were interested in their customers. The checkouts had plenty staff and I was checked out quickly. Love M&S❤️

We spent the morning out for a shop and after two hours my wife announced she had been looking for a particular style of trouser in a particular colour. Have you looked in m and s I asked her. No she said. Over to m and s and first rack of clothes. Said trousers said colour. That's what m and s do.

Recently refurbished this place is nice and also not too expensive. They do a great high tea for 2 for £17 which is great value for money, considering other places charge between £25 and £35. Don't let the low price put you off this as it's not just any high tea....lol

Went to have a look. Fatal. Bought a pair of shoes for work. Never had there shoes before but as they were flat I thought I would give them a go. Couldn't get my size to begin with. Then they were black and not navy...grrr. However I had a black pair. All was in place. Clean tidy and easy to to find what you were looking for. No staff about as usual and finding a pay point well we followed the arrows. The place is very clean but I felt there was no one to ask about a query. That is not good . I like staff to be around and answer a question. Personally I felt let down. Retail , work weekends, staff.....no. no one at the fitting rooms...need a change of size...ah..no one. Not good enough. Retail opens 7 over 7dayz. Staff...no can't work weekends...get rid of them..

Sitting just inside the park at the back of Primark, parking to the front is limited however there is spaces in the main body of the Fort. You'll find a cafe to the back which has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Friendly approachable staff in the clothing side as well as the Food Hall.

I made an error in my order and clicked 'pick up' at Edinburgh and not Fort Kinnarid. I only found out when I went to pick up my items. Michelle couldn't have been any more helpful. She not only explained that my order could be cancelled within 7 days, she went out of her way to phone the Edinburgh branch (at 7pm at night!), asked them to cancel it and they did. The queue for coffee is always a mix up. You may then move along and queue. If there is more than a couple of people in the queue the orders get mixed up. Messy system.

At a certain point everyone passes milestones in their life. Becoming a regular shopper as M&S appears to be one but thankfully this M&S is rather well stocked and covers not just their excellent food but also their clothing and a decent selection of household ware. You won't get larger furniture items and the like here. If you haven't shopped in M&S I recommend shopping there at least for your food. They have good fresh food and vegetables on hand most days but their best items are often the meals they make themselves as they generally have what you will be looking for but alongside that they often put a twist on traditional foods or have a different selection. The only downside to the location of this store is that in all the years that Fort Kinnaird has been around and all of the iterations that the carpark has gone through it still becomes almost gridlocked so try not to go at busy times if you can.
