My favorite supermarket in Edinburgh. Huge place, a lot of numbers of products. Need tesco Clubcard! Then you will get discount.

American here. Being able to walk to this grocery store in the morning and sit and have a cup of coffee for 20 minutes before picking up snacks was a very nice escape from feeling like a tourist. It was peaceful and reminded me of home. And the barista made me four shots of espresso over ice with heavy whipping cream at my request since iced coffee drinks seem less common in this region. Great service! I will never forget this seemingly minor experience in Scotland. Lol.

This is a great store. A lot of fresh food. Wide range of assortment and good prices. No cold alcohol in the store. Self scanning. Large parking. Pharmacy inside. Costa inside. HC friendly. Friendly staff helping you. Short lines as I expected

Was in Tesco Broughton Road store around 4pm 12th july. I wish I had asked for the name of the girl on the checkout. I only popped in for a few things but as usual got more than I came for. The girl at checkout didn't know this but I am recovering from a pretty major operation and should not be lifting heavy bags. Without any indication that I was struggling she offered to put my shopping in my trolley. Ok so maybe a small gesture but to me it meant a lot. I don't know why I didn't ask her name so she could have been given recognition for her kindness and great customer service at the time. 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼😊

I've been going here since 1994 when it changed from WM Lows. Lovely friendly staff whom I've gottten to know well over the years. If they don't have wha you want they'll try to get it for you or advise where you can get it. It's shopping locally with local people. That feeling of being part of a community that encompasses all people regardless of their circumstances makes it exactly what it is - a local store serving local people. What more can any of us ask for ?

I have NEVER found the staff rude or unhelpful in my weekly visits over the past 7 years. But then I am polite and sane. They also have a very good range of produce and groceries at popular prices.

It's a good little Tesco with all the necessities. It has a good selection of fruit and veg but since the counters shutdown, the fresh meats offering has gone down in availability. There's no electronics like TV's or stuff like blankets. However from time to time an aisle will have speciality items like school clothes or certain foods. If in doubt just ask one of the friendly staff.

I wouldn't normally review a national supermarket chain, but this particular Tesco is fantastic and it deserves five stars. Although it is quite a small local store, they actually have a Costa Coffee, a Tesco Mobile kiosk, a Pharmacy and also a Timpsons for key cutting and dry cleaning. There is always a large range of fresh flowers and seasonal home products (like BBQs and Christmas Trees). They have a deli section always stocked with fresh olives, stuffed peppers and lots of other antipasti. They have a really wide range of different alcohols including a chilled cabinet of wine & prosecco, if you need to pick up a bottle on your way to a picnic in the Botanic Gardens! The best thing about the store is the staff, always friendly and always helpful. (P.S. they even have charging facilities for electric vehicles in the car park!).

One of the staff in this store were so helpful it drove me to contacting their twitter team to ask them to pass on my feedback. This store is good for everyday items though lines carried of each product tend to be limited owing to the smaller size. However, it is convenient for where I live and the queues are not too bad. Also, the prices are not at the same inflated levels as you find in Tesco local stores (like the one on Leith Walk). Better now they have extended the opening hours. The pizza counter should be avoided.

A reasonably well sized Tesco with a good selection of products including some foreign food sections with rarer ingredients. Not sure how to feel about this one security guard who loves to randomly pop up from behind and comment on your shopping.

Came in early one day - about 15 minutes after opening - and a lot of the stalls were covered and unavailable. Also nobody on the tills - I had to ask. It's not a bad store but it should be fully open and customer-ready from the moment they open till the moment they close.

Very nice Tesco wide variety of produce. The vegetables and other produce seem fresh, unlike the Tesco leith superstore. We'll to coin a quote from Animal farm. Seems that some Tescos are 'more equal than others'.

I have been using this store for a fair few years. Always used this store as my main shop, I shop every other day if not almost every day, parking can be a pain unless you don't do your shopping wen some use it as a parking lot, you see the same cars Monday to Friday so the 3 hr parking limit is just a joke, as for the store, at busy times there are more stock trollies on the floor then shopping trollies, the most on one Isle Iv sin was 7, like no room for customers, it makes it worse where they are to busy to think about the customer trying to dodge them fill shelves. They are constantly moving items around the store, I want to shop not play hind n seek and due to this I had I problem finding something them moved, finally found the item paid for all my shopping and left, however the security guard collared me outside and was well out of order rude and unproficinal assulted me and all I got was realy a sorry from our of the management, not even a keep you sweet gesture. I have noticed prices constantly going up and up and up, if you shop for animals ei cats n dogs there selection is very poor and in a very small section. They often get new item ls in and after a few wks they are removed. And finally with the exit to tescos when in a car can be a waiting game, if you go at peak times the trafic lights only lets 3 cars out before changing back to red. So yes there you go. Time for improvement.

Best grocery shopping in city center Edinburgh. That said, I think the "super" adjective is a bit of a reach! They do have a reasonable selection, prices are typical for Tesco (a bit on the high side), and LOTS OF PARKING!

It's a small superstore. They usually have everything I want, but it's not as good as the Waitrose in Stockbridge or a really big out-of-town Tesco. However, it is right next to the bike path which makes it very accessible if you don't have a car.

Full sized food Tesco (regular prices but no specific clothing or electronics section), also has a café and a good sized car park. Bottle recycling, Timpsons, pharmacy and ATM also on site.

Everything you need, their is a Costa Coffee and pharmacy inside the store. My only complaint that some in express branch told i can find HALAL food here and i take taxi but their is NO HALAL FOOD HERE.
