Amazing array of produce and a real gem in Gloucester. I used the app ‘Too good to go’ and they allowed you to take a box to fill up from really good fresh veg for just £4! Helpful friendly staff and a great find! Parking is a little tricky as it’s a residential area.

Always helpful staff, well stocked shop with huge range of spices and seasonings not found elsewhere. Also, we tried their butcher's at last visit and the lamb was the best I've tasted for years. As a farmer's daughter I know good quality meat, and this was excellent. 5 stars all round.

Absolutely fantastic family run shop. Has served the community for over 55 years. It’s a one stop shop for all your grocery needs. Very wide range of products. Customer service is second to none. If there were 6 stars I would give them. I would not shop anywhere else.

On my first visit, the usual chap on the tills offered great customer service. Today, he was being rude and deliberately unhelpful. Your choices encouraged me not to come back, for anything you're selling, and if you carry on treating even the odd customer like this, it could become a trend. Excellent halal butchers. Went there to get meat for a large family holiday. Jaff was so friendly and helpful and vacuum packed it all for me. The shop also has a fantastic range of spices, pulses, etc. Would highly recommend this shop.

Brilliant. I love this place. It reminds me of shops back in Birmingham. There's a great selection of produce and wide variety of tastes from around the world. Indian, Pakistani, Thai and even some Jamaican and other spices and condiments are available. Best thing about it? The proprietor is the friendliest bloke you'd ever wish to meet!

Extremely friendly and very well stocked. They have some ayurvedic products and you can sometimes order items not in the store (if their supplier has them). Excellent prices and a broad selection of Asian ingredients including some from South East Asia. For fruit and veg it's worth noting when they stock up to ensure freshness of items. The store also feels very calm to me as they usually have Islamic meditive chanting on the CD.

Great staff, the butcher was very kind and did exactly as I asked (I had a special request for the meat I wanted). Amazing variety of goods, fresh produce, well organized, perfect for Oriental and Desi ingredients. Cosy shop, will certainly go again!

Having just returned from holiday in India, and inspired to try my hand at cooking some of the dishes that we experienced, I went along to Motala & Sons to purchase the ingredients that I required. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the range of fresh produce that they offer is quite extensive, and not always available in other Asian grocery stores that I have tried. I will certainly be returning when I attempt my next Asian cookery session, and I would recommend anyone seeking authentic ingredients for their Asian cookery to visit Motala & Sons.

Grocery shop in Gloucester with almost all the Indian items, which are of good quality and even in offers. Products are available in small as well as 2kg or 5kg packets. 10 minutes walk to the Gloucester bus hub. It seems to be busy always. Fresh vegetables are available. Shop is stuffed with extended range of spices and especially pickles😃
