A big store that you can find everything you need, from; men, women and children clothing, home items, food, home stuffs. I only visited food court today, was doing fine with Covid prevention, provides hand sanitiser and cleaning products. Store is quite big & not overcrowded. Staff wears masks, the story is clean. Nice to see all cakes & bread are wrapped up individually, only see M&S does it, a very good and safe idea. Always has good deals, so make a lot of meals & cakes affordable.

I had a bra fitting at this store first fitting since my breast surgery,the lady that fitted was very nice and kind because I was a little nervous due to my scares,I felt the store after buying my bras feeling so pleased with the way I was treated and fitted bras fit perfect thank you shagluefta

Reasonably sized store in the city centre. Although the clothing isn't really to my taste the range is varied. The food hall on the other hand is fantastic! I'm particularly impressed with their range of 3 step cooking sauces. As with all M&S stores, the fresh meat and fish is of a high standard. There are two entrances, both of which are wheelchair accessible and toilets can be found in the store.

Came in yesterday for a packet of vegan sweets. I don't shop here often. Asked an assistant where I could find the percy pig sweets. Honestly, it's been awhile since I've been able to go into a food shop and get this level of service. She really was helpful and had time to chat about the vegan options and recommended the Plant Kitchen line. As someone who has worked in retail, I appreciate the pressures staff are under to get things done and neglect customer service in the process. It was nice for her to spend the time to take me to the items and chat about the choices, instead of just getting an assistant that points in the direction you need to go. If I'd gotten her name I'd have passed the praise on but here will have to do! 🙂

Really good and productive shopping visit. We were able to get items we wanted at good prices and were also able to order other items for collection at a later date. I am a Sparks card holder and had a 20% discount voucher which I was able to use on all the items I purchased. We were looked after by Harvinder at the pay desk. She was extremely efficient, friendly and welcoming and did not hurry us along even though it was approaching the closing time for the store. Really pleased with the quality of the items we purchased.

The FoodHall is the BEST. I love just walking around and seeing if they have anything new and interesting. I always end up coming home with some biscuits/snacks/carby item. Also their fresh produce is some of the best.

Staff always helpful and very friendly. Size I want is not always in stock - it's very hard to find a size 10 long in Jeans and trousers. Also the range of tights colours is limited. Great selection of shoes and boots, and the schoolwear is very good quality.

Staff here are beyond helpful and are willing to jump on tills to shorten queues. Great quality product that last so are worth paying a little more for. Fleeces from here are a winter staple and I have one of each colour. I have never had a bad experience at this store and I'm here quite often.

One of my favourite M&Ss. I know right, that you should have favourite M&Ss! It has food downstairs and clothes upstairs. One reason that it doesn't get the full five stars is the slightly disorientating store layout due to L-shaped plot. You might come out on to a completely different street to when you started! Even at Christmas, when the queues were horrendous, enough staff were out in the tills to make it as quick as experience as possible. Thumbs up.

February 29 2020 (PM ) MARKS AND SPENCER GALLOWTREE GATE ,BRANCH LEICESTER My mother especially and me regularly use the food hall weekly. My mother is 79 was alone and mobile and had a fall in the lift (light headed) The staff were fantastic, for example the security, (a male in a suit) the first aider, man with his badge and a lady who is a member of staff from the cafe, all assisted her and got an ambulance. I would like to thank you very much for the lovely service and for sending my mum a personal letter wishing her well. My mother attended hospital and is getting better and mobile and will be back at Marks and Spencer's in Leicester this month. Thanks

Its a old shop built in the 70s so it's not very attractive on the outside and the Clothes section needs a serious makeover so it looks like a clothes shop and not a Large factory hall with clothes in it from the 70s!! The only reason I've given this shop a 3 star is because of the Food section, if it was just the Food section alone I would give it a 5 star rating, if I was giving a rating on the Clothes section alone I would give ìt a 1 star rating!! Such a potty it could be a 5 star rating if they invested some money!!!

My sister in law and I came to the store looking for help with a bra fitting and advice. Our first impression of the Lingerie section was that it looked like a discount warehouse, not a pleasant place to shop. Two assistants were having a disagreement on the shop floor whilst moving a rack of bras and when we asked about the bra fitting service (from a lady with the words ‘bra fitter’ on her badge) she said they were fully booked and no one could help us. It would not have taken her 5 minutes just to give my sister in law some post baby advice. Very disappointing, the staff at my local store in Hastings would never behave in such an unprofessional and unfriendly manner.

I'm always worried I'm going to be overcritical when it comes to reviewing big firms and corporations due to their pulling in loads of revenue and skimping on returning it. I am happy to say that M&S in Leicester is not one of these places. Sure, I could whinge about not being able to find anything, but then again perhaps I should slow down, breathe and spend a longer time in a single place before darting off again. As with most of these places, I only go in when desperate ... or the food store is open. On these occasions, this place sparkles with pleasant and helpful staff, and a smooth underlying efficiency one would expect from such a huge place in the middle of a city, catering for masses.

Mostly use the food area downstairs, some great combinations to be found. The upstairs clothing department has a variety of mens and women's clothing, found the most comfortable pair of jeans there, should have bought two as they have been discontinued.

Marks and Spencers is one of the best shops in the town center and I go in there ever week some times twice a week and I love it. I would be very angry if Marks and Spencers were to close the store in Leicester city centre. I can not get to Fosse park as it is two buses away and would take to long to get there and 2 buses to catch. I would like them to sell 3/4 sleeved blouses or tops and I love the food that they sell in store.
