Great little pub. Went for the first time. Excellent selection of beers. My gf loved the rhubarb cider. Dog friendly too which is always good. Will be going again

A real gem of a place. A former hardware shop, sympathetically converted to a bar with a definite industrial feel and vibe. Front and rear bar, with the rear bar having a huge projector screen ideal for watching sport. Great selection of real ales, with plenty of guest ales on as well, alongside an extensive selection of bottled beers. Table service due to covid restrictions, you order your beer and pay via an easy to navigate app, no fussy download or anything to complete. Staff were great on our visit, making sure we knew the ropes on ordering etc, and very friendly. Toilets clean and well maintained. A cracking venue for a catch up as a group, or to sit by the front window and watch the world pass by. Go you won't be disappointed

The Handyman has become a bit of a go to place for a great range of beers, ciders and gins. You always get an eclectic blend of people in with anything from a couple having an evening out to a group of students, someone walking their dog and calling in for an IPA.

Excellent micropub and brewery, based in what was the legendary Handyman's shop that seemed to exist forever or at least 40 years on Smithdown Road. Finely crafted and delicately balanced, self produced real ales, brewed above the bar. Friendly staff. Choice of kegged craft ales if you like that sort of thing. Seating is a bit basic, and the area behind the bar is a bit claustrophobic, but it a relatively new venture. Go visit.

Great place, with a variety of craft beers on tap, as well as a good selection of bottled/canned beers. A few beers for the "lager drinkers" if that's your thing, as well as a small selection of wines. Nice atmosphere and vibe.

Great microbrewery. I had an IPA , which was crisp and fruity really nice and is made in brewery upstairs . Friendly relaxed atmosphere and adverts for bands , DJ and comedy club so will defo be going back soon . Only not 5 stars, because would have been nice to have light bites such as bread/olives /cheese. They may have this other nights as we went on quiet afternoon to be fair . Love the log burner !

Went in for the first time today. The choice of great craft ales is extensive. The building had an artisan feel and look. It's great bring able to see the micro brewery above the bar, just adds so much atmosphere. One of the owners gave me a tour of the building and its history, so interesting. The wood burning stove made it warm and inviting. Its absolutely my sort of place.

Great vibe with great drinks. I visited for the smithdown road festival this year and as usual loved Handyman! Great selection of beers but also other options if like me you're not a beer drinker! I ordered a vodka and coke and noticed they had a lot more spirits available as well as soft drinks and non alcoholic beer.

First time I've been here since it was converted to a pub from its previous use as a handyman store. Really nice feel to the place. Dog friendly - as I petted a lovely couple of doggos while I was there. They were both good boys/girls.

Interesting microbrewery in Liverpool. Has a great selection of beers in addition to their own. It also offers very nice gin and tonic. Has an area in the back for live music.

Hipster micro-brewery and bar. Revolving selection of in-house beers as well as gins. Trendy hipster style decor but warmed by real log fires when it gets chilly! Regular live music and other community events. The beers can be a bit hit and miss but always exciting, a great addition to this end of Liverpool!

A great local bar serving an array of craft beers, but nippy in the winter. Get there early to bagsy a spot by the fire or bring your coat. Beer jackets work too! They also take Colu so you can pretend the drinks are free! Sometimes the live music can be a bit off-putting and the regulars get shirty if you talk while there's a performance going on. Wonder if it wouldn't make sense to open the back room for customers who like to listen to music whilst talking to their friends. Just a thought
