Good range at this shop of quality items. But that comes with quality prices - you get what you pay for! Cafe not bad, but not for full English, nearest is a bacon roll earlier mornings. Do need more clearing away staff, or a dirty tray stack system, especially at busy times, when many tables have previous occupant’s remains.

Really good selection of food you can't get elsewhere however as everyone knows it is very expensive. It's good as a treat to get some really tasty, bougie food once in awhile but its too expensive to do the weekly shop at though!

Did shopping for my housebound mum who's 89, she loves waitrose. The staff were helpful and pleasant Not entirely sure how the security guard is meant to catch thieves though when he's on his mobile phone the whole time!

No one wearing masks, even the staff. One checkout open with a young girl on who couldn't put alcohol through her till, hence a queue of 10 waiting, it was 6pm Saturday night

10:00 on Thursday before Christmas, the shop was very low on some stock and seemed very overstocked on others. My guess is that there's a limited market for turkeys costing more than £50 each. Even if they sell them at half that after Christmas I suspect there'll be a lot going to landfill. That's a pity given how many people could really really do with that protein this winter.

Always great. Little dearer than the standard supermarket, but great food.

A little busier than normal (Sunday 1pm). Car park fairly full as were local streets. Offers on Champagne as you enter. Tempting. Newspapers to your right. Free paper with a myWaitrose card but minimum spend £10 applies. Splendid selection of bread, butter and cheese. Didn't seem to have any Belazu Smoked Chilli Harissa paste. Some frozen items very low stock. Cheapest supermarket deal on Fage Greek Yoghurt currently... £3.50 for 1kg pot. Mineral water available in glass bottles. Lots of offers.

Waitrose is the second best supermarket, second only to SumaWholesale which is even more ethical. The most amazing day out to lovely Formby, have a walk down the high street and get a coffee as still waiting for the Waitrose coffee shop to open. Only rivalled by a trip to Otterspool tip. If only more companies were like John Lewis the world would be a much better place. Go Waitrose 😀👍

Undoubtedly the most pleasant and relaxed place to do a weekly shop. Staff are always very helpful and polite and store always carries attractive offers. Remarkably good value all-round and exceptional quality throughout the range of products on sale. Highly recommended.

This store is going through a refurb at the minute so the cafe & certain counters were closed. The shop was clean & reasonably busy. Some good offers on but some of the other products are expensive. Most of the staff are really lovely but there are the odd ones who come across as snobby. Will be interesting to see how the store looks once the refurb is complete. I don't often shop in Waitrose & nothing today has made me want to visit more often.

We go there every +-6weeks to buy Jackson Bloomer brown bread. We love this bread and it freezes well. Waitrose is a lovely shop although a bit on the expensive side. But their quality is excellent.

Great place for quick shopping visit especially if you want to visit a few other shops in formby and need somewhere free and local to park. The meat butchers counter and deli counter are 1st class excellent if not a little pricey but I'm afraid the quality of green grocery is poor veg stables often poor quality as are salads and they really dont last long. In general the store doesnt have a wider range of groceries as they could have and they really dont listen to customers needs. Stopped selling Hovis wheatgerm loaves of bread and when asked if they could stock it again they said sorry we dont stock it anymore. Now Tescos is selling out of it every day and I'm spending much more in Tescos rather than waitrose which is also making me realise the cheaper prices in Tescos and offers. I generally now only buy products I have chosen on mywaitrose for discount and in order to get my free Daily Mail especially on a Sunday costing £1.80

I visit here every week to have coffee with my friend . The changes made to the cafe Waitrose reward card has certainly made a difference in how many use the cafe. It is now quite quiet .I would say it has been detrimental how people socialize , with the free coffee it might encourage them to buy more food to eat. Also the free coffee would entice people to do some shopping , another negative impact . I am very disappointed with this ,and will be considering going for coffee elsewhere.

The system of paying using a hand held scanner is too complex and clumsy. Tesco system is simpler and more user friendly. Staff are very friendly and never too busy to locate items of shopping. Quality of stock is always high, including own brands which are sometimes better than branded stuff. A well laid out store with a good range of stock.

I called the Formby store to enquire about a product and spoke to an assistant called Shirley. This lady couldn't have been more helpful its so nice to get that kind of service. I hope she's recognised for the excellent customer service that she provides for the store.

Called in today with my mum to do a small shop, we were in the cake aisle when we asked one assistant where was the Tate and Lyle Golden Syrup was. The assistant took a quick look at where we were standing and said "It's not here, they only do the dessert type here, try the sugar aisle." He didn't offer to show us where the aisle was, he went back to what he was doing, so we walked around the aisle and walked out of the shop.

Only problem being with pork and egg gala pie (that I specified must have use by date no earlier than a certain day). It came in the evening and had to be eaten that same day. The second time it had to be eaten the next day. This was quite useless to me as a vegetarian, as I wanted it for a visitor later in the week. I had said I did not want it if the use by date was sooner than stated, but it still came - both times.
