Reviews of Lodos Supermarket.
R. M.
Lodos is big for a corner store, and open till late, so very handy.
It stocks an amazing array of Asian and Oriental fresh and frozen foods, and plenty of different juices and cold drinks.
But you'll need to walk to Waitrose or another supermarket if you want any chilled ready meals for your microwave-- Lodos have hardly any!
But the staff are friendly and helpful.

There are so many wonderful things to buy from this shop if you enjoy Asian flavors. Sadly I'm in a hotel room and have nowhere to cook. Other than the noodles, sauces, oils, and snacks there are still plenty of standard grocery items. Drinks, crisps, beer, and wine as well. The staff is nice and I had no issues getting what I needed.

Great shop has so much stuff! If you like oriental food this has some great bits

Had my phone nicked outside...but the noodles are cheap...and it's 24 hour alcoholic happy hour...whats not to like!?
E.
It could be perfect but 70% of goods I wanted to buy were expired, some even were lots of months ago. So the variety is nice but you need to carefully check what you're about to pick.
Also, the girl at the till doesn't look friendly.

Is there any contact number or mail id of Lodos Supermarket??
W.
Great because its 24 hr and may have a 24 alcohol license but I'm not 100% sure. One major issue to look out for is to be aware of the prices they charge i.e. there is sometimes an issue with the price shown on the a held not matching the bar codes. They have a huge section of Asian food and sell some wonderful fruits such as custard apples and honey melons. They ha e great priced avocados.

Who knew this was secretly a treasure chest of international foods? I've walked past dozens (possibly into the hundreds?) of times, always thinking it was your average corner shop, so no need to pop in as there are closer corner shops to home. You can't really see inside as the windows all have vinyls with generic photos.
EXCEPT, this corner shop has an Asian food section that means I don't ever have to go to Chinatown to get fresh tofu or kimchi again, it's all right there at Lodos. I wasn't sure whether they would have everything we needed for a cooking project, and they really did. Plenty of spices, sauces, condiments and shelf groceries, as well as fridge and freezer options. I was genuinely impressed.
We looked around the rest of the shop and it seemed better than your average corner shop, a good range of spices and I can imagine you'll find most of what you need there. But for me, this is genuinely going to change the way I shop, and let me do more interesting international cooking. I noticed other international choices as well, including some Polish ingredients.
