A hidden gem. Maltby market showcases dozens of food options from around the globe including dishes from Brazil, Ethiopia and the sea. Great for a quick bite or drink.
It can feel congested given many people walk to and from the ends of the market (about 100 meters long)

This market is a hidden gem in London. It is small but the food is amazing. Do try Vietnamese Bánh Mì Nên and Gyoza Guys (especially Vietnamese gyoza) as they are so so tasty. We definitely come back again!

Loved this market it’s foodies dream. Two things I love I found here, oysters and fizz. The staff were friendly and helpful As was the owners I hope there is demand for more seafood in the future such Lobster as it would be perfect on my doorstep.
If you love salt beef bagels /sandwich’s apparently they are on the way!

A fantastic place to visit on a weekend with great and varied selection of food and on the other side of the viaduct are small independent breweries. Where the food stalls are is a bit narrow to go through which may make it a bit difficult for social distancing in these Covid-19 times - it's all outdoors though with some covering from the rain/sun.

A little market tucked around the corner and filled with different food stalls. I tried Duck Frites and loved their triple cooked duck fat chips.
The duck was tender and came with a piece of crispy duck crackling. The hoisin sauce added a sweetness to it but the real star of the show was their duck fat chips. Crispy, salty, and fluffy in the middle - I recommend!

Nice little food market in Bermondsey. I had steak and chips and they were very nice. The Banh mi was alright. It needed a bit more vibrant flavour

Places like Borough Market and Spitalfields get a lot of press (and deservedly so).. but Maltby is the real gem for me!! Every single vendor is fab!!
Great food options, lovely people.. right round the corner from Bermondsey beer mile.. what more could you ask for.. spent a lot of time here over the summer and heading back this weekend.. the steak and fries was something else.. and when doesn’t Oysters make any day better..
Deffo one for your list!!

Tantalisingly delicious and bustling busy every Saturday. Jump start your Beer Mile escapades with a soul-quenching Friday-hangover-abating refill.

This market is the best hidden gem. The food vendors are all amazing and it’s a perfect place to spend and afternoon out or evening/night. Right next to the beer mile so it’s very easy to make a day out of both.
