So lucky to have these guys just across the road from home. I'm trying to further my sustainability efforts, and it most certainly helps buying fresh produce without the unnecessary plastic packaging. Very friendly service....the produce is always VERY fresh...the vine tomatoes are exceptionally fresh and delicious and makes for the best homemade tomato soup. Fantastic shop with fantastic produce and fantastic staff. Having moved to the area recently we were pleasantly surprised to find Marvellous Greens and Beans close by, the guys in the shop always make us feel welcome and are always up for a chat and a catch up. The fruit and veg selection is very good and they also offer mail order boxes which is great. The coffee that they serve is delicious and is another reason to visit. I’d recommend going here to anyone who lives in or near the area as it’s well worth the visit. #shoplocal

Love this place! Super friendly, really helpful staff. Rare to find fruit and veg offerings plus a load of gorgeous British produce, like fresh juices. Peppers as big as my head. My sister and I often use their home delivery service too (so much tastier than the big supermarkets). Their coffee and vegan cinnamon buns saw me through lockdown 🤗

We receive a box of fruit and veg every week. It is excellent quality and value for money. The whole family is enjoying eating fruit and veg now! I am very impressed with the service: they are so friendly and always happy to include our favourites in every box. They like to hear if we like the box and if they could change anything about it. Lovely veg, fresh and very tasty! We pop in for a coffee at the weekends and it is excellent. I would definitely recommend their veg boxes for delivery, the team are super lovely, always reliable, friendly and it's a great price for what you recieve. Wonderful grocers that has become the heart and soul of the local area. Great seasonal selection of quality fruit and veg, warm decor that is constantly changing to reflect the seasons (decorated by local artists!), cracking coffee, and the best freshly-baked bread. And most of all, friendly and welcoming shopkeepers, who are always a pleasure to chat with and have given us loads of new recipe ideas.

If there was anything positive about the pandemic, it would be the reflection of how to spend your money to benefit your community, especially in a shop like MGB! We are so happy that the folks opened around the corner from us, and have such reasonable priced fruit and veg. They are always up for a chat, while one peruses their fabulous selection from small batch butter to the best spinach to the delicious raspberries, these guys do it all. Not only that, the customer service is so good and makes you feel at home and you never feel rushed despite the (well deserved) queue! We are so grateful and lucky to have this mighty fruit and veg shop in our community and are so happy to see everyone support them too.

Just a wonderful greengrocers, with lots of other delights (baked treats, coffees, bundles of delicious of jams and sauces, yum!). Always guaranteed to get great quality fruit and veg - but my favourite parts are the people who work there, they're really part of the community and always have something on every season that the kids get excited about (haunted house for Halloween? Giant inflatable Santa for Christmas? yes indeed!). You guys make HOP feel like a lovely wee village.

Almost want to keep this a secret because they are so good, but the croissants here are sublime. Fluffy, delicate lamination, glossy caramelised outer and a delicate buttery flavor. Also picked up a beautiful slow-rise loaf of bread for a Sunday treat. I'll be back, the fruit and veg range looks great too!
