Did you do CNY shopping? Chinese New Year is right around the corner and red lanterns are ready in China town. iI’s time to do a shopping for CNY!🧧🐯🧧🐯 I love shopping at all supermarkets and @oseyouk is one of my favourite places to shop. @oseyouk is a Korean retailer which has a variety Korean foods. @oseyouk 📍 73-75 Charing Cross Rd, London WC2H 0NE @oseyouk is a Korean retailer which has a variety Korean and Asian foods. The shop is vibrant, modern and clean. They have a good product selections including snacks, drinks, noodles, sauce, seasonings, fresh and frozen foods.

The biggest Asian shop I've ever seen. Absolutely amazing with various items to buy, from mugs, bubble tea to my favorite noodles. Highly recommended!

Different supermarket shopping expensive, lots of treats and crisps to choose from and lots of instant noodle flavours. They have some nice phone covers and kids colouring pens and books. Probably this is one of the best korean supermarkets in lolo as it has the widest collection and food choices.

An essential store therefore this establishment remained open through lockdown. They have good product selections that made me miss Seoul for a moment. I can't say much since I'm not the biggest Korean foodie. It's spacious enough to maintain at least 1m of social distancing. Great store, loads of great options I can't wait to go back and try stuff out. There were also a few ready meals and Kimbap etc available if you're looking to grab a quick lunch/dinner too. Only reason my review is 4 stars is because I actually went there with the sole intention of getting a steamed/bao bun for lunch and that was very disappointing. The BBQ and pork one sounded great so I got that but it turned out that one was a lot smaller than the other buns so it wasn't really big enough for lunch. (This wasn't made obvious on the menu). I actually left the shop a bit disappointed before deciding to turn around and head back in to get another, different one. Unfortunately both were very dry and hard.. the filling of the BBQ one tasted great, but I didn't like the pork and mushroom one at all. It was a dense, compacted ball of pork and mushroom which smelt a little unpleasant and just about tasted okay. It also was a tiny bit slimy inside, between the meat and the bun and was awkward to eat because of how it was a dense ball inside a hollow bun. I didn't finish that one sadly. I just wonder how long the buns had been sat there to get like that.

Very clean and friendly staff in-store. Korean driven merchandise with a diverse range of pan Asian offerings too. Ready to eat or ingredients to cook at home all truly authentic and inspiring. I go there to do my top-up once in a while, always walk away with plenty new ingredients to try out. Clean and clean did I mention clean?

It is more expensive than H-Mart or Korea Food in Korean Town in Zone 4 of London, but it is very good for purchasing simple ingredients in Central London. It is always crowded with people of many different nationalities. They also sell facial masks, but frankly, they are very expensive. Never buy!

Great store of you are looking for all food Korean (the fresh kimchi is a must!)BUT two negatives are the workers are constantly filling the shelves and the aisles (if you can call them that) are narrow enough as it is and the boxes and string and bindings are a trip hazard and the staff are cold to the point of indifferent, the place and staff just need a few tweaks

Very vibrant, modern and clean shop. Found all the food I needed. They have a good section on Korean mascot gifts very high quality phone cases. As for K Pop merchandise lots on BTS-badges, notebooks and posters, then a couple of ATEEZ merchandise items. Unfortunately overall K Pop stock variety seems quite low currently today, saw hardly any female K Pop merch. Keep in mind the shop aisles are small/thin, wearing a bag pack is not ideal.

Love this place. It’s a good sized shop but the stock is quite limited across the board but SO.MANY.NOODLES and the mochi ice cream is delicious. Some reasonable prices for imported goods, always different products to try. I always go in here when passing and my children love it too.

Went just before closing and the staff were very kind and helpful despite the inconvenience my late arrival caused. Wide selection of snacks/ingredients/drinks and merch and the checkout guy was pleasant in conversation. Will definitely be coming again!

Best korean small supermarket in the area, youll find lots of asian snacks, noodles, ingredients, drinks and household items. Great to go if youre a kpop fan as they have albums, merch and posters. The screen as you come always has something playing too!

What I love about this Korean based supermarket is the seaweed! It's a really nice shop in general. I'm Plant-Based Vegan, and I appreciate the selection of different types of seaweed available. A member of staff offered Me a free sample of a ginger based tea, and when I enquired if it was Vegan, she said, "Yes". With that I had to double check, "What's in it?" "It contains honey..." "Oh! Honey is not Vegan..." "I'm so sorry! How ignorant of Me!" I was taken aback by the Oseyo assistant's ownership of an understandable error, and I tried to reassure her that I wasn't offended. So, I carried on shopping! The Oseyo staff are lovely! I'll no doubt shop there again! Check it out! It's got all manner of Korean and Asian foods! Quite a few are Vegan. It's also got some K-Pop products, and items for children (and collectors alike) such as Hello Kitty pencil sets, etc. I love it! Thanks for reading! 🐻💋💋

Great Korean supermarket in the middle of London, never thought I would find so many options of authentic Korean dishes and the prices are very accessible for everyone, everytime I visit I buy something new to increase my knowledge in the different types of food, they have a great selection of snacks both salty and sweet and a good selection of noodles with different sauces, highly recommend if you want to try new things of if you been to Korea and you are looking for local foods. The shop is located between Leicester Square and Tottenham court road but closer to Leicester Square.

They had mochi and a shiba pillow so if I could give it more stars I would. The shop was extremely clean. Only complaint is the isles are very small but pre pandemic that would probably be acceptable. Prices are very cheap too. The price labels have the names of the items on them and it was very easy to understand what was what and how much it was. Considering I only speak English I found it very easy to navigate and understand what I was purchasing. :)

Always come here to get my Tofu- a really really good price for the tofu. Where it’s usually £5 in Tesco, it’s £2-3 here- which is greattt for Central London. The shop is very clean and there’s always some new fun snacks to discover!

Friendly staff and I got a deal on 1kg of kimchi and huge bag of hot pepper flakes, enough to last me for at least 6months or more. Great place for your Korean food cravings. It isn't the biggest store but has a good range of products from snacks, sauces, raw meat/seafood to beauty, home/kitchenware and even kpop merchandise. Contemporary decor and brightly lit with quick service at the tills too. If you buy frozen goods, they kindly put it in a separate bag so it does not touch the rest of the shopping.

I was there on Tuesday and I saw a worker tying her shoelaces putting her shoe inside of the fridge, next to the food / drinks. So disgusting, was one with big white fila shoes. I just want to tell that because It wasn’t hygienic. If you want to tye your shoes, get down on the ground or step your foot on a chair, don’t step It in the fridge, where food is stored.

Lovely little Asian supermarket that has a lot of imported drinks,snacks and food. The market is well laid out and has a good variety of goods, especially their drinks variety which is insanely big. They even had the famous Pokemon soda cans (which I had to buy :P) The only criticism I have with this store and most of the others like it, is that you pay a huge premium for the rarity of the items. The Pokemon soda cans cost £2 per can, which is quite a lot for a fizzy drink. Solid 8/10 from me :)

I discovered this place recently and I'm obsessed. I come very often to buy some Asian food. It's not a big shop but you can find a lot of things for a cheap price. I also love that you can find unsual things that you can't find elsewhere. I often cook Asian dishes so I'm happy that I can find things like seaweed, nori, tofu, noodles, miso, etc. for a reasonable price. The shop also has a great ambiance, with nice music and a modern decor. I like it a lot! I am very happy with this shop, I wish that they will open a bigger shop someday.

There are a lot of Korean food shops in London, but I just thought I'd pop into this one as it's now in a row of shops that have refreshed this piece of Charing Cross Road which I used to haunt when there was one of central London's late night gay pubs. Anyway, the Korean shop is sleek, friendly staff (and doorman!), but I bought 2 packets of biscuits, which were very nice, but expensive for what was in the packaging: 12 small biscuits in one and 16 in the other, nearly £3! I know they've been flown from half a world away..but still very expensive!

Pleasant store and staff. Reasonable selection of Korean (some other Asian food mostly sauces) food, beverage, small selection of household items, cosmetics and KPop items, including posters, DVD's and other related items. Best of all you get to hear the latest KPop release. The Oseyo in Islington has music videos on in store. It is a smaller store but seems to have a wider selection. Amongst my favourite foods are the side dishes, and kimchi. They are well made, quite tasty and spicy enough for me. Both stores are excellent and fairly busy.

This store needs to be at least 2x bigger, cant even get down some isles without having to push through and the queing system is literally just queing in front of the door. Rather visit Japan Center instead which is also nearby and has much more space

A quick stop for a quick shop. Mainly a korean supermarket where you can grab your korean culinary needs. They also have K-Pop merchandise. Price wise, I would say some have gone up quickly which caught me by surprise. But if you want more or less a one-stop-shop for korean food, ingredients, or noodles, ten this would be a good place to go to.

Oseyo is a new concept, a Tesco Express type H-Mart UK store (sort of). H Mart originally had started big in NJ, USA taking over a suburban Giant big box Japanese Supermarket in early 1990s, and it has opened one box store in every state over the years ever since, and, now, they are opening in-town stores to compete with the local grocery stores, with fresh fish and red meat products no other supermarket can beat. This is typical freshness standard many Koreans demand back in Korea. That is H-Mart USA. Then, H-Mart came to UK many years ago, and they opened their small stores in Central London, one on Goodge street, too. But, their operation did not meet the standard for locals who already experienced Tesco Express opening up everywhere, or the store was not not as good or as popularly located as Oseyo Soho today, with K-Pop and K-food fandom in London. Oseyo is a new strategy from H-Mart to be reintroduced to London again, The owner split it and set it up from H-Mart company and reopened it as more trendy and mainstream, just like Wasabi (another Korean name, 2003, benchmarking Yo! Sushi or Itsu 1996). Today, H-mart UK remains and operates as wholesaler and on-line delivery service from New Malden store. Oseyo and H-Mart are still the same family companies. Now, regarding this Soho branch, This store has better presentation and shelving layouts. At first, I thought I stepped in Japanese Muji Store, typically using 2 or more floors. The price is as low as H-Mart USA, and, the portions are small, just perfect for the British Fridge sizes and limited cupboard spaces in the kitchen, unlike H-mart USA suburban shopper styles spending $100s. This particular store has lots of variety of products in a limited space.I noticed more locals (Asians and non-Asians) than visitors to London. They have a good manager supervising the store on the floor. That is a good sign. I personally advise people to choose established Korean Brand products, like CJ, Chungjungwon, Ottogi, Dong Won, when it comes to seaweeds, and, condiments, compared to the generic store brand names, from my experience (always cheaper than the good brand products). The origins of the ingredients of some generic products or packaging qualities are, rare, but, sometimes, questionable. Use the precautions with sealed bags, or, origins, and, expiry dates of generic products of the store brands. otherwise, enjoy your visit. If you don't know what to buy first, try Korean soup ramen (with suggestion of added egg, Scallion, frozen seafood or beef), cup ramen, or, Jappagetti (black bean noodle) or Yuju, Ginger, Plum tea in the small jar. They are something you won't see in M&S. Or, try Dried Seaweed, or, Miyuk, (not the salted and grilled, Gim) to add to your everyday diet for its nutritional benefit and its cooking convenience, substituting fresh salad and for its long shelf life. I hope this helps you to recognize its long retail history, and, I really wish this store lasts long and liked by many.
