I normally love this store and make it my first choice supermarket but this afternoon it was chaotic. Tons of customers, loads of empty shelves and a sporadically attended 'Welcome Desk' which meant long waits to get questions answered. I was having problems with my hand-scanner and had to give up in the end as there was nobody at the desk to help.

Ample parking is a big plus. Wide aisles allow leisure shopping. Our favourite section is the meat and seafood counter, well run by the lady supervisor whom we understand is from Finland, she and her colleagues are always there to help and answer questions. Don't forget their fish Friday when all seafood gets 20% off.

I shopped for a simple but specialty item only available in Waitrose. What impressed me was a member of staff quick to help an elderly woman with her trolly So she could proceed unencumbered. Surely an eg of personal attention and care that leads so many to prefer Waitrose.

All staff very friendly, so far all goods I buy always available. And, prices no higher than anywhere else, apart from fresh meat and fish, but then, the quality is much better. I paid a fortune for two steaks 2 inches thick each - that's how Afrikaners eat meat!

As she had seen on a fair few occasions a similar scenario, she managed to solve the problem, enabling me to pay for my goods and end my evening on a happy note. Superb service.

The fish counter is always amazing on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Billy is the young boy who serves me on these days and is always incredible polite and helpful. His counter is always so professional looking, neatly arranged and makes finding what you want not only pleasent but easy. Definitely the best on the counter. Thank your all your help.

A supermarket that has lost its overall 1st class rating of customer service gradually over the years. - Staff still gossip a lot, but was less before. - staff 'always' used to offer to look in storage if the item we want was not on the shelves. - Staff used to 'always' ask if there was anything else to assist with after having given assistance, AND offer to take us to the product, etc - staff used to know the products available at the store and its location (aisle). - previously professional star rated staffs gave strong memorable positive impression. Poor training - a shelf stocker instead of asking a puzzled customer if they need help, asks the customer to move aside because the customer is in the way! Good - The new vertical fridge freezers are better than the leaky flat freezers and we don't have to bend down nor stretch and reach. Easier for restocking too by staff. Good - the new self-service tills are good. But, I would like to see the 10p carrier bags nearby self-service, and a few newspapers there. WHY DON'T YOU KEEP A LARGER DURABLE PLASTIC BAG eg 50p or a big green John Lewis JL grocery bag. Why should it only be available to selected JL people? Times have changed! Change with it! Join the world effort non-reliance on plastics. THANK YOU - trolleys don't need coins! Aisles are reasonably spaced, but gets difficult when store is busy and staff restocking shelves with bulky trolleys. GOOD PARKING - Open-air level-flat car park with Disabled & Family bays & car electricity charge ports. A nearby main Bus stop. Please HIGHLIGHT Parking time limit! Fresh cut flowers daily. The table and chairs are a hazard for shortness of space when the area near the bakery/cafe are not serviced. * Beginning to find more products than usual without price tags. Absolutely silly layout to have high stools & high tabletop just along the congested narrow exit from the pay tills. Why not rid of the 2 i/s & o/s garden pot plants area (would be sad) OR one car park bay to convert to an outdoor standing/seating drinks/snacks area with self time limit? Waitrose do have offers, but still generally more expensive than others. Voucher Offers through the post are pathetic and rare. Suggest an AUTOMATED system of AUTO DISCOUNT for products routinely regularly being purchased and scanning Waitrose card, the discount being shown to the customer at the till on scanning prior to payment, so the customer can still choose if no discount shows up. FISHY BOARD - Suggest the days fresh fish can be on chalk board on entrance to get attention: eg Salmon, Trout, Lemon Sole,. PRICEY - Aubergines are too SMALL size, too pricey to remain fixed price irrespective of size! - noticed "summertime" fruits in demand were much too pricey especially your Melons, grapes, strawberries,etc LACKING - all your fresh HOT Chillies seem to be from Africa!? Also,why are they in so small quantities 3/pack!? Is Waitrose a convenience store or supermarket!? Horrid Monster Cakeness. Family got ILL from Cake - from the "boxed" Waitrose cakes we got years ago, and never bought them again. Manager/CS briskly dismissed my complaint seemingly without slightest consideration. Fresh cakes lovely Delicious. WHY V? ARE YOU NUTS!? Almost all NUTS for sale do not have origin of source or production on packaging. I do not want to eat any Vietnamese produce (sorry) especially things grown from the land because of Agent Orange contamination still present and it's continued effects by affecting human life. Sorry again. All cashews are being bought from Vietnam. Why? You have no incentive voucher scheme, no way to reward "regular customers nor big shoppers". Please supply the 'free' papers and local papers only. Felt upset by the discrimination & unease in manner & behaviour by some Indian Waitrose staff against other Asian non-Indian customers. Felt often picked on by them in various ways. Previously Waitrose customers looked forward to their weekly shops. Self-service critically useful: The Waitrose Shopping Dash! Bless.

Always busy on a Friday night, but shelves well stocked up places to park and staff pleasant and helpful. Not sure that all the customers were maintaining social distancing, but plenty of sanitiser for hands, baskets and trolleys. Screens and masks for staff. In case there is someone who doesn't know Waitrose - food quality is excellent, extremely wide variety, most ingredients you might need for cooking recipes from many different cultures, lots of healthy food options. Their basic range in everything is good value. From food to household cleaning products.

My regular store for years. Can't fault it. Clean, well laid out and signed. Staff always friendly and helpful. During lockdown they looked after the over 70s by giving priority in the early morning. Very useful, not crowded and felt safe with fewer customers. Prices? Well, not the cheapest but worth it for all the benefits.

Nice Waitrose, great parking and the fresh sushi counter is exceptional! Always made to order! The folks making the sushi do a wonderful job and better than a lot of restaurants. Staff helpful and friendly however recently popped in to order sushi and usual 20 min wait which means I have to hang around the store. No biggie as it means I can see if there are any interesting new products. Sadly every time I turned around there was the security guard following me around. Hasn’t happened since I was a teen and really obvious! Almost thought I had a personal shopper! I decide to have some fun and go to random parts of the shop, count to 5 and low and behold there he was!

Calm,Clean and Civilised Eat well, sensibly, healthily. Top-up shopping . Also , for that extra something as a little food gift or treat for family or friend . Good bunch of flowers and wine ! Healthy lunch or real-time food. Pre-covid, great start to office morning with muffin, or roll with complimentary hot drink after tube ride at peak time. Opens 7 a.m . Bravo !

Waitrose in North Finchley is my weakest point. All staff is wonderful. I feel like at home. I have one complaint. Please remove sliced potatoes crispy one. I am hooked on them. Food is excellent. I am not shopping in M&S any more. No need. Easy to park as well. I can't praise the shop enough. Specially people who work there - family like atmosphere.

Great store. Very helpful. Parking can be cramped. Two other Waitroses close by (Holders Hill and Whetstone) so plenty of choice.

I totally agree with the recent comment about 'conversations' going on with staff members. They are young folk and I think they need reminding about the appropriateness of having a chit chat and should leave it until their shift finishes - not very professional in a high end supermarket! I have visited many times and it seems that the stock is not on the shelves! Maybe I visit at the wrong time, but unlike Tesco's, staff are plenty at Waitrose; surely they should be on the ball with bringing out stock and filling shelves?! Complacency is evident.

I Love the Dutchy organic brand food - i buy from waitrose and ocado all the time! Hope they get more organic items in the Dutch range soon. Id say waitrose is by far best super market for organic food! Planet organic spinach is good. But yes 5 stars from me all the way! I'm lucky to be able to shop mid-week and this store is well stocked, well laid out, has super helpful staff. However I have also visited at busier times and found the same conditions, with the proviso of more shoppers around. So if you can, switch to mid-week. But if not then please respect staff and the needs of other shoppers for space and time. Additionally there is plenty of parking spaces and toilets available for shoppers use.
