Reviews of Waitrose & Partners Islington
S. H.
A nice supermarket. Clean, with a wide selection. The mixed nuts were surprisingly cheap, at about 13 pounds per kg. The vegetables were fresh and tasty.
A. A.
Not really impressed with this particular branch. The layout of the shop is peculiar and it doesn't flow.
The shelves were not fully stock and there was no staff on the floor which is quite unusual for waitrose.
The self service counters were not working long wait to pay.
Still love the bakery though and the fish section even though it offered a very limited choice.
D. L.
Poorly stocked and in-house lines of diminishing quality, but premium prices. Waitrose is in decline.
T. S.
Saw two guys fight over Essential Ciabatta in here during lockdown. Police were actually called. Don't let anyone tell you that middle class people don't have punch ups in supermarkets. They're just not that good at it and it looked hilarious.
G. J.
It's fine, I'm a chap, it's a supermarket. A little difficult to navigate and at times unusual use of space, but it does the job. Polite staff.
M. M.
Standard supermarket with some shelf gaps due to covid and evening visit but friendly staff.
J. L.
Good Little Waitrose store can get most things you need here although lacking in choice
A. S.
It is not a very big waitrose, but they managed to arrange a lot of shelving and display rack/freezer to accommodate a lot of items. They have a wide range of items.
A. M.
There are some big supermarkets in the UK, but this is also a very favorite supermarket here. There are lots of assortments, and the payment is also easy. Sale is convenient
P. J.
I am a regular Waitrose shopper, here- I don’t like this branch, it’s small, somewhere on the borderline of a regular and a Little Waitrose. The nearest good size shop is the holloway rd
B. V. W.
Great place to find a wide range of good quality products. I always find there fresh organic fruit I am looking for. The staff is always helpful on tills if the queue for self-checkout is a bit longer than usual.
M. A.
The meat from their butcher is always the freshest out there. In terms of fresh produce, poultry and dairy it's a good to place. Sometimes it's hard to find small things like bread crumbs, or if you do they are 5x the price of normal grocers and not worth it.
S. E.
A medium sized store with good deli and fish counters. Good wine selection, and great quality food you can trust on the whole. Let down occasionally by the staff, who don't seem to be trained as well as those in some of the other Waitrose stores.
J. W.
Very high standard friendly experience excellent service brilliant food
R. M.
A couple of the staff at the counter didn't really seem like they wanted to be there. Overall, a bit overpriced to be perfectly honest but the food does taste very good.

This outlet is just amazing, it has wide spread of ready to eat which are value for money. Also wide spread of ingredients like numerous origins - Chinese, Japanese, Indian, local and Italian. There might be more others which I might have not recognised.
Seafood section has got good selections of fishes, till now I have not seen in any other outlets around this area.
Desert section has got loads of ready to eats, like tarts, cakes, mouse and more. Also one can buy birthday cakes here. Even good options for icing and decorating cakes.
Loved the store.
L. A.
Small store but pretty well stocked. Fresh produce from Waitrose is fair better quality than other supermarkets. Even though Angle has a M&S, Tesco, 2xSainsburys, street food market and a health food supermarket I still choose to shop here. Be warned though, peak hours the queue for the tills can become long.

Bit disappointing! Cake section not nearly half as good as Angel branch 😋 Also till wouldn t accept my e gift card, had to pay in cash. 😏

I don't shop in my local branch enough. I buy from John Lewis and do click and collect a lot , as I'm disabled. Waitrose Angel Islington , is always clean , tidy and a great Layout . the staff are very friendly and I shopped yesterday for my top up shop and by far an enjoyable experience.
G. M.
I give it five star's wish shop was larger
N. S.
I have shopped here for about 2 months now.I work quite near and it is a real.pleasure to do so the staff are so very helpful thoughtful and made you feel very welcome they have a great variety of food and a fabulous range of cut flowers and plants everything you need under one roof so thank you Waitrose.

Was in there this morning nice staff and lots of things to buy not like sainburys next store manger of sainburys was to busy outside doing nothing he needs to know the shoppers pay his wages sainburys in not a british shop any more look on Google and see who owns it now staff and mangers of sainburys need to know customers are kind sainburys will get rid of 5000 jobs in next 2 years so most of these people will be gone

I used to think Waitrose was a place for pretentious wankers. It kind of is, but not as expensive as you would think. Love the fact that they have creme brulé in their 'essentials' range. Lol.
B. L.
Very friendly staff and have most of item that you need for an awesome meal
N. P.
Great shop, good range of lovely products and excellent staff.
I. A.
Layout is a little weird, but has the usual Waitrose selection. Lots of good quality meal options.
R. C.
Waitrose is the best super market, Angel Waitrose has less stock than Barbican or Brunswick Waitrose if you want organic food.
L. V.
Not the best option if you are in a rush, security and other staff members walking just on your way
P. C.
Small waitrose but usually good stock except if you come late Sat when its really sold out especially on fresh vegis amd fruits
M. L.
Slightly odd layout can make it a bit hard to get around, but still less chaotic than the Sainsburys next door. Prefer the Clerkenwell branch.
C. M.
Always the best food...
O. O. C. L.
Queues were moving, not too crowded got most of what I wanted
B. K.
Happy people serving so it helps when they over charge for everything. But then again, you don't go waitrose for bargains.
O. E.
This is the best grocery store in London. Such nice staff and a great selection of fresh food.

I miss my old waitrose. This one is small and has a very poor selection. Very stale bread too.
J. W.
Excellent selection and helpful, friendly staff; but sometimes not enough of them.
L. M.
What it makes up in quality it loses in cost
S. P.

An excellent local supermarket, albeit with relatively poor selection.
