This is my go-to Asian supermarket. I used to live nearby a few years ago, but even after I’ve moved, I still keep on coming back. They have all the essentials to East Asian cooking, as well as some South East Asian ingredients and snacks. It’s the only Asian store I’ve been to that sells Korean Bulgogi beef (and not just the beef rolls that most Asian stores have). Prices are affordable and the owners of the store are accommodating. Yay for Yip! :)

Staff (family) is extremely friendly and will go out of their way to explain what the items are and how you can use/cook/eat them. The prices are cheap and/or reasonable. I like to buy firm tofu here as it is tastier then the one on the supermarkets (it's fresher as well) and slightly cheaper. Also if you never tried fresh, yes fresh soya milk you need to come to this store.

If you need any Asian groceries, they probably have three different types of each thing you need! Small, family-run shop but lots of stock, prices are really reasonable and the staff are usually happy to help (I often walk around several times trying to find what I'm looking for until they point out it's right in front of me). Most of my favourite meals are made from ingredients from here. Cash only but there's a free machine around the corner in Londis.

The shop is small but has a lot of stuff for its size. The thing I'm not at all happy about is that the lady who works at the till seems to be very nice and helpful towards English speaking customers but is not so much if you speak Chinese to her.

What's not to love about yip's? They stock almost anything you would want, at reasonable prices, without the hassle of having to head into Chinatown.
