Reviews of Levenshulme Market
P. J.
Lively place for people to check out some street food and trinkets. Some amazing artists showcasing their work and selling copies here as well. There is a cancer information outlet for those curious or have any questions or concerns about cancer. The music made the whole place Lively. It was mildly busy even on a rainy day. I hear it's even better on sunny days and I look forward to going there again. It's in the Levenshulme train station parking lot so getting there is very easy. Many buses stopping nearby too. Wheelchair accessible place and great for going with kids and groups of friends and family. A Saturday afternoon well spent.

Really good. Just wish there had been more food stalls. Quite a good range of food stalls selling take away. The cheese stall is really good, very knowledgeable about the products. Maybe chutneys, pickles and definitely bread products. Craft stalls interesting too. Great coffee. Look forward to revisiting.
A. K.
Fantastic little food / craft market right outside levenshulme station. You can walk around all the stalls in under 15mins but there's some great food to choose from and the stall holders are super friendly. Loved it.
P. H.
Strange place, approx 300 people there,I only new one person..it's a bit like the hippy market in Ibiza ,overpriced hand made items,I've been there several times and not bought anything...it's like a meeting place for oddballs.. probably good for local trade though
T. P.
A lovely artisans community market. Background music on occasions makes for a lovely atmosphere

A nice Saturday Market where locals meet to eat, drink and have a refreshing time. The environment though needs cleaning to avoid a major health hazard.
E. W.
Just love this local market. It's on most weekends, lovely stalls and great food with always something delucious veggie/vegan to munch on. Often there's a theme with something musical or crafty. Kiddy and pup friendly which is lovely.
Look out for the night markets too as these are also great.
T. G.
Always love my visits to levy market (as a trader or customer) such a great selection of stalls and very well looked after by the staff. Some places just do a nod to covid security these guys take it seriously while still allowing people as much freedom and relaxation as possible.
C. G.
Good selection of stall holders to look at, something for everyone, lovely sunny day helped
M. J.
Great fun! Lots of food stalls and some great samba drumming! Who cares about the rain when you're having a good time!
W. M. M.
Love the Market!! It's my favourite day time thing on a Saturday >> food is always amazing, the stalls are great and it's brilliant to be able to have a pint whilst you wander round!! Highly recommend that everyone tries the market at least one Saturday a month!!
m.
Great weekly market. Amazing choice of food. Good coffee from Coffee Crank. Don't miss a great pizza from Mio Pizza.
L. D.
Loads of goodies to buy. Music, great food, gorgeous ice cream and even a licensed bar in a horsebox. What isn't there to like.
D.
Grab a pint or a coffee, whilst browsing a selection of stalls from local, independent businesses, including a wide choice of food vendors. On every Saturday (10am - 4pm) except the third weekend of the month where there is a Friday night market (5-9pm). March through until December. Always a fantastic atmosphere.
R.
Great selection of food - both to eat there and treats to take away. Great variety of vegan options within this also! Reasonably small but good way to spend a Saturday morning. Can see this market really growing into something even better!
A. W.
Small with eclectic stalls, younger demographicthan I usually see. Very friendly bunch and the vegan swarhma we ate from one of the stalls was delicious.
L. V.
Another AmaZing day at LEVY Market!! No words to describe the AMAZING atmosphere of this market!!! Wonderful staff, food, traders, music.. I would definitely recommend this market more than any other one around Manchester!!
C. O.
It's a lovely place and a beating heart of Levenshulme. Loads of craft stalls and food vendors, veggie, vegan and meat options! Dog friendly, a bar... It's great! Moments away from Statiom Hop and Isca which are some of the best bars in the area.
J. H.
Lovely friendly community vibe. Great street food, drinks and entertainment.
M. E.
Lovely sunny day for a walk round this market. Would have liked more stalls 🙂
D. P.
Fantastic small market with great food stalls.. highly recommend a visit!
J. J.
A small but very lovely market with assorted stalls selling artisan and bespoke items. Food, clothing, plants and great coffee all available. Coffee service may take a little while but I would recommend the wait is worth it for the flavour and product!
S. W.
Can be good, depending on what stalls are there that week (obviously). Sometimes its all a bit same-y. Mostly great though. Some good cheeses , stuff for the bathroom and food to eat out. Nice when you get a musician playing too.
R. W.
Bit biased as I trade here often but also pop down regularly as it's my local community market. Always great, lovely atmosphere, variety of traders. Make sure to pay a visit to Jeremy the cheese man!
C. K.
Visited for the night food marker. Food mich better than expected and prices not too bad. Good range of options, some good crafts stalls too. Nice music, could do with a bit more seating maybe. The many dogs also a treat!
m. c. s.
it's lovely! They really put a lot of love and commitment and creativity in this market, but it's tooo small!Maybe it's cool for locals but not worth the drive (I live about 2.5 miles away), and the search for parking etc. Sorry! But they really have done a good job and hopefully is gonna get bigger.
D. B.
This market is kinda cool. Hippies, organic produce, the best eggs in town as well as a great selection of local cheese. The hot food is decent and there is a beer tap. Usually live music too.
j. b.
A weekly market with various themed events. Usually on Saturdays but becomes a night market on third Fridays in the month. A wide variety of food stalls interspersed with crafts plants and ever changing guest selling just about anything artisan. A busy bar especially at the night market. Community stalls project the work of local voluntary groups.
Highly recommended and easily accessible as it is held on the station car park.
M. M.
Excellent, but fairly small market. Mostly food stalls, with a small bar and usually some entertainment (singer, band etc). Good atmosphere, but unless you are eating/drinking it won't keep you occupied for long.
R. Y.
Good little local market with everything you'd expect. Can be a little quiet just after starting but it soon picks up and gets busy. Nice place to visit with friends, have some good food and a drink and just relax.
Q. D.
This really is the best market of them all!
As both a trader and attendee, it is just brilliant. The sense of community and the quality of the food and artisanal wares is exceptional and there is always a huge variety of stalls with something for everyone.
M. I.
A brilliant place to buy a gift, get something to eat and bump into friends. It’s got a real buzz about it. I love the vibe and all the different stalls. Give it a go!
D. D.
Was fantastic getting busier which is fantastic for the local Area. Will be even better when more stalls are added obviously reduced numbers at moment because of Covid 19. Nice relaxed vibe at the Market today xxx😀❤❤🏳️🌈
G. H.
A small market with plenty of local artists. A great selection of fresh food and coffee.
J. S.
A great place to go on a Saturday morning. There are plenty of stalls selling food from a variety of cuisines. There is a stall selling plastic-free household products which I visit almost every weekend. The market is just round the corner from levenshulme station and is well worth a visit.
M. S.
Absolutely amazing! I used to live in Levenshulme and was always looking forward to Saturday market where we used to meet up with family and friends. And the Friday night market is something every area of Manchester should have once in a while- you meet your neighbours and it makes you feel you're part of your local community!
B. J.
A fantastic local market, with a quirky and friendly vibe. When the market first became weekly I wasn’t sure if there would be enough to keep me going back. But, I find myself taking every opportunity to pop down and grab something for lunch, to stock up on sausages, mango chutney, and spring rolls for the freezer! I can’t help but poke round the rest of the market either. The Fashion and Flea is my favourite and a few quirky pieces have ended up on my shelves as a result.
W. N.
Great little car park foodies market right behind Levenshulme train station. A few little craft stalls and a few selling produce but this is really about the food aspect. Beeline to the craft beer stand or the barista where you get a nice start to things but also a sense of the sustainability aspect of this market. The Mediterranean stall at the front is sensational. The ice cream truck is ridiculously tasty and creamy.
If I were still living in Manchester I'd be going back to try more of the stalls. Begins when it gets warmer and closes when it gets colder in the year; within this it runs weekly. Check their website for more details.
G. H.
Busy markets....cheap prices....i loved it.
R.
Gritty, grungy uber cool, small market square with a great atmosphere. Just need more recycling facilities for cans. Signage could be better as I had to ask where it was, but it's off the beaten track just adds to the allure
M. W.
I love this little local market. Especially as there is always a wide range of products and who doesn’t love supporting small local companies
D. D. (. C.
One of the best markets I've ever been. Full of curious and rare goods and in a cozy and homely environment. I live nearby and I go there more or less every week.
C. D.
It's a good little market. It as food stalls and stalls that the person on the stall has made the items that they are selling. So you can ask them about it.
p. c.
Levenshulme hosts a weekly market from March to December. It hosts a small but delightful array of foods, crafts, vinatge goods and other nice things. Cheese, breads, meats, veg are all on offer so you can get these in one hit, whist supping a freshly poured beer and munching on a freshly prepared mezze. Also, occasional Friday night markets with entertainment are recommended.
D. H.
Love Levenshulme Market. Literally go every weekend since moving to the area. Lots of interesting items with many different traders there each week. Nice to call in for some street food and coffee.
J. H.
There's a real lack of good food stalls here, not hot food stalls, but provisions. The cheese man still attends, but no cured meats, fresh fish or meat really. It's gone from being a very good market to a 'hip' and 'trendy' market.
It's actually getting quite hard to spend money here as good traders are squeezed out and replace by tat, bric a brac and hand woven tofu jumpers.
G. P.
Great community event every weekend between March and December.
A. R.
Love levy market. Great stalls. Fab atmosphere. Buy all my family and friends pressies here so don't need to shopping half as much now 😊
R. “. A.
This is one of the best markets in Greater Manchester. Some of my favourite stalls regularly appear here: KnitSoPlainJane, Cocoa-Nut Grove, Lush Brownies, Ginger's Comfort Emporium, Yes!Doughnuts, Fritto Italian, ChouChoux Patisserie, String Effects, Baked With Love Mcr, Betty's, The Muffin Mistress, need I go on? It's so friendly and has such a great ambience.
C. F.
Really awesome little market with a great selection of craft stalls, delicious food, beer and live music. I feel privileged to have this nearby.
A. S.
So glad this has continued to be a feature of Levenshulme saturdays. Generally I go for the food items like artisan bread, nice cheese, local sausages and chutnies but Im also tempted by the craft and art and clothing stalls etc when they pop up. Great to pop along for lunch and beer aswell with plenty of choices of grub usually available such as wood oven pizza or asian stirfries.
K. S.
Small but nice brotherhood market.
A. T.
Fantastic buzzing market, especially the night markets. Always something gorgeous to eat and a nice tipple on offer. Can't wait for it to open again this year.
