Reviews of Asda Milton Keynes Supercentre
A. B.
Recent refurbishment is great, food Court looks interesting (didn't try). Always pretty busy, but it's a massive store. Staff could be quicker to move if customers need to get to where they are stacking shelves or perhaps not block an Isle by working opposite each other! Sorry bug bear of mine. Otherwise staff seem friendly and helpful.
l. c.
This is quite possibly the biggest Asda I've ever been to in Europe. Not only was there a food court INSIDE THE SHOP, on the back wall there were fantastic dispensers with endless choice of dried goods. Now I can have all my favourite cereal AND help to save the planet. I will definitely be visiting again.
R. M.
I went today using the click and collect area, I unfortunately had a few issues as I was unable to use the "I'm here" option on the asda confirmation email as it kept looping me round to log in again, so I tried the phone number and ext but had nobody answer. Very fortunately while the phone was still ringing through a very helpful guy came out with my shopping. On the whole I would use the service again as all of my products had good dates and were in good condition too. As stated the actual staff present are helpful and friendly, I'm hoping they were only having a few minor technical issues with the website and call line.
S. B.
Hand Face Space Consideration. I visited the supermarket on New Year Monday Bank Holiday so this would explain why the shelf in the fruit & veg were bare.
It has a fresh deli counter and does lot more world food than when I last visited this supermarket. There will be something for everyone.
E. T.
Staff very helpful especially David who mostly collects the trolleys BUT he also works when needed on the tills, collecting baskets for shopping and doing/helping whomever needs help or wherever help is needed, he's ALWAYS friendly and polite and is outside gathering trolleys in ALL weather and he never complains because of David I give Asda 5 stars instead of 4 -4½ because I've had issues with the online shopping and being told that a third to half of my shopping is unavailable yet I've had to get a taxi to Asda while waiting for my shopping as disabled and struggle with walking and found that tobacco and a lot of the unavailable items were in stock and I think I've had a lazy non smoker do my shopping online.... disgusting
A. P.
Large store. Good collection. They are focusing a lot on reusability and reducing plastic. Refill stations are cool
G. F.
Refit nearly completed. Still no restaurant but clothing dept now much bigger along with new Decathlon instore sports outlet and new refill area opening shortly.
A lot better than it was a few weeks ago and should be a nice store once it’s finished.
J. B.
Easy access to store. A lot of places to park a car. When i visit Asda i usually find everything what i need. A bit busy on Sundays
R.
This store is under going a refit. It does now feel claustrophobic in some parts of the shop. If you have been before be prepared as everything has been relocated, even the staff are confused as to the location of certain items. I didn't see the cafe anymore or the toilets. They have also reduced the amount of staff operated tills and replaced with self service which is tricky for large shops. On the plus side the prices are reasonable and the parking free.
A. C.
It's alright, very big. Meant to be World's biggest Asda but I feel like the Watford supercentre has more stuff to buy.
C. M.
Web says open at 10:30. Turn up at 10:45 to be told they decided it’s open at 11 today. All elements we wanted to order were available. While waiting, more customers turned up, left and went to use the other outlets that were open. All of which were busy. Got to question the thinking here??? Small point but masks that are so think you can’t here the staff talk are probably not the best for serving customers.
A. I. d. A.
Absolutely brilliant store. Sooooo much parking so much space!
I love the ultra wide isles, makes it really seem like it’s parent, Walmart. So much variety, so much choice and all at great prices.
Bakery is limited when you compare to the German competitor Lidl but don’t let that put you off.
N. B.
Nice large Asda with on site opticians, with well stocked electrical goods & home ware dept. Also a decathlon sports dept In store. Large variety of mens/WOMENS & kids clothes. Next door to ikea-so it is in a convenient location to combine both stores in one visit.
t. w.
no end in sight for the current renovations, stock is still being randomly shuffled around on a weekly basis
R. W.
When to asda like I always do when I get paid, to gets monthly supplies washing liquids, cat food etc.. The store is being refurbished so things are not in there normal places.. My monthly shopping which would normally cost £65 was halfed as I couldn't find the items.. 🤔
N. C.
Possibly the biggest store I have visited! Fully stocked. I could have spent hours here just to make sure I checked everything out.
M. M.
Amazing prices, truly great value for money. As a family we're always impressed with the amount of reduced price tags, there everywhere. Lovely fresh pizza made to order, a nice cafe for a quick cuppa and cake. This is one huge store with a vast area for convenient and easy free parking, also close to other amenities.
K. C.
Got a fresh pizza made in store and it was wicked, the staff are friendly and helpful and we didn't wait long either
G. A.
The service at this place is exquisite.when first checking out at self service I wasn’t too certain on how to use these things but a kind young lady with beautiful curly hair had exhibited on how to use and made sure I was fine right until the end and has made me comfortable to now use them every time on my visits. As soon as there is a problem or my alcohol needs approving the staff will be right at my assistance, the young ladies are always running around to make sure everyone is assisted and that’s what you call fabulous customer service!
D. F.
A large store. Lots of space. Lots of potential. Lack of stock on shelves which implies poor management. Disappointing.
L. H.
It was nice big plenty of stock and clean and staff were friendly and polite
J. G.
This is a fantastic store with an amazing range of everything! You can get absolutely anything here. However, the lack of social distancing really gets to me at this Asda. They used to have an entry limit but they seem to have scrapped that now - I regularly find the shop absolutely heaving with people and no social distancing control whatsoever. They also don't have a good station to wipe down your trolly like other local supermarkets
D. A.
Not only is this a well-stocked supermarket with happy staff and good prices it has the best community project of any supermarket in the region. Check out their green token scheme.
D. G.
I visited this store on Monday and found the staff extremely helpful , especially the lady on the door(customer service end) and the gentleman in the photo shop, regrettably I did not get their names .
Nothing was too much trouble for them , I went into the store with no trolley but then found that I needed one , the lady offered to get me one rather than me having to walk round the shop to exit , as I had several boxed goods I was buying .
I wanted a large photo printed from my phone, and the guy in the photo shop could not of been more helpful. He was knowledgeable and gave me all options available to me and helped me get the best picture for the canvas that I wanted.
F. H.
Great store but they are doing rennovations and evrry week they move the aisles around and it is difficult to find things from week to week
K. M.
Very big. one side is for food shopping, the other side is clothing, toys and home wear etc.
n.
Always value for money...watch out for fuel prices too at their garage ... 😊
E. C.
Good Place To Buy Products
K. P.
Good, big, clean store easy to find your way. Around.
j. z.
A nice large free car park when you arrive, outside you have at the far end a small filling station, just outside a cash point, inside you have a nice large store with a great selection of clothes for all the family, a good selection of dvds & music, fresh food counters, large aisles, a key cutting & photographic counter & cigarette kiosk not forgetting the café.. Phew take a breath... 👍👍⛽💃🚶🛒🛒🍰🍞🥖🥕🍅🍄
K. H.
This place is the size of a not so small town - Supercentre is an understatement! It’s a superstore on steroids, this is surely the largest shop in the UK. Great for social distancing because each of the 100+ aisles are about 10m wide. Shelves are fully stocked with an army of staff on hand. Plenty of choice and very clean and tidy. Amazing.
M. N.
Good shop, not too busy today!
V. M.
No loyalty cards, best prices. Huge store, everything I need under one roof. Weekdays open 24th. Clean and for me feels like a bit more tidy, modern and promptly restocked.
K. R.
great store we wanted to treat our daughter, only one complaint we came to have lunch before shopping only to find the cafe shut. very disappointing
A. S.
Great produce. Huge parking space lots of trolleys indoors, which means they are good to use in any weather conditions. Huge variety of products fresh bakery items, fresh fruit and vegetables, wine and spirits, tins food products and clothing all in all great range of products combined with lots of facilities for its customers.
M. L.
Lovely Asda, huge, loads of products available. Quite a Iarge parking area.
E. J.
It's a very big superstore. Is kept clean. The staff are friendly. The are self service tills if you need to get something quickly or you can scan and shop. one downside is that you can only use a credit or debit card when scan and shop as it doesn't allow cash. They do have sale items which they can discount a lot.
N. W.
Love the new look and the new zero-waste refill section.
L. A.
Massive store. Massive car park. Seemed like a decent Asda to me.
S. W.
Great shop with friendly staff, but should take down the 24hr sign off the main supermarket as it's false advertising
N. J.
Always have loads in the shop.
Great choices
M. B.
So much choice! It feels like this store has EVERYTHING. Including the best cashier ever. This lady at the register was so lovely and friendly, I wish I asked her for her name. She made me laugh when checking my ID when buying alcohol (I'm 37, so big compliment!) and she efficiently combined making us feel welcome with ringing out our purchases.
See you next time, favorite cashier!
H. C.
Your average supermarket - shelves were clean and organised and there was always someone available to help if you got lost. When I asked a advisor for help they were knowledgable and offered to walk me to the desired isle. Overall please with the visit and yes there is plenty of parking so you can’t go wrong. Could possibly have more people on checkout to help people that are new to the concept!
C. L. B.
This Asda is great because it’s so massive in comparison to other supermarkets. The aisles are huge so there’s not much chance of get caught up in congestion with other shoppers, there are often great offers & better variety than the average shop but I’ve given it 4 stars because every time I come here to shop in the George section for clothes for my son they never have his sizes left which is a big disappointment for such a superstore!
j. i.
I have just read the announcement about Asda Milton Keynes, selling second hand clothing to raise funds for charity and to encourage customers to repurpose and recycle clothes. If it's your store that has came up with this idea. I really take my hat off for the team. What an amazing achievement :) could hug you all to death how happy I am to hear the news. :)
D. J. E.
I went to the store the other day to acquire alcohol and went to the self service check out. When needing approval for being 18+; the most fabulous, sassy, funny, warm hearted, kind, caring, genuine, larger than life and real character called Darlene approached us.
She made a mundane self service process an absolute riot. Other customers were laughing around us thanks to her energetic charisma which made them wish they were served by her too.
Because we bought alcohol we had a good jest at her joining our party together and it made a typical customer-to-assistant exchange into a real human experience.
People like herself are perfect for the role they are in. I hope that someone sees this review from higher management from ASDA as she’s a credit to the company.
Thanks again to Darlene, I hope she, and others see this to experience what an absolute gem she is.
B. M.
Absolutely brilliant service this morning, returning a mirror panel which was scratched. I had forgotten my original receipt so the assistant got my details up on the computer and sorted out a replacement, all with very good grace. Then later I asked about a part for my wardrobes that was supposed to be in stock but wasn't on the shelves. Another assistant took at least 10 minutes of her time to track down the missing part, saving me a second trip to MK. And I had a lovely breakfast and coffee in the restaurant! Thanks IKEA!
s. s.
Ok shop, aisles are wide which makes some people feel safe downside is the food isn't great quality
A. C.
Huge store with with very competitive prices. Recommend using the scan and go scanners (off to the right as you enter via the main entrance) as the queues for the tills can be very long. Good selection of non-food items too, esp toys, books and clothes.
Always check If theres is a match on before any visit as entering/leaving can be a nightmare if timed badly timed.
A. L.
It's big and clean, excellent range, but oohh I forgot the ketchup I have to walk half a mile to find some as the place is so massive. Always plenty if staff on tills, but not as quick as Lidl or Aldi.
S. B.
This is a café review.
Not at all an unpleasant place to sit and eat breakfast. Plenty of space to sit and enjoy the very nice Seattle's Best coffee. The music piped through the store is catchy and recognisable. One small gripe is that the veggie sausages were microwaved, hence a bit chewy. The breakfast was inexpensive but on the small side
S. C.
Great superstore. Went to get birthday cakes and there was a fantastic selection. The design your own cake machine was easy to use.
S. K.
Excellent and complete shopping place to meet family needs. Good choice of Asian and Indian food varieties. Good choice of fruits and vegetables. Must go place for buying things for birthday parties and barbecue get-togethers.
M. t.
I use scan and go which is great. It now seems that there is not enough of these tills.
Only one member of staff making these Tils a bit slow. I had some alcohol and needed assistance the poor chap just said have you got alcohol and typed in his code and I was allowed to continue as he was under pressure with other customers.
Other than that it was a quicker way to shop.
N. J.
My best supermarket and brand friendly colleague's and got great products good pizza counter and hot food counter lots of car park spaces and trolley bays for weather conditions and customer toilets and a great george selection followed by free wi-fi ive been here lots since i was a baby and i always come on the weekend
D. W.
A bit short on stock, otherwise a 5
Y. H.
Steve on vegetable and fruit department is an asset to your store. He is very polite and always has a smile on his face. If I can't find any item in his department Steve will gladly take me to it. Weldone steve
P. B.
Pricing good, stock availability bad. We always can't get everything we want. Vegetable area not well looked after, and many times not enough cashiers. Tried different times of day and always the same. There seems to be a lack of adequate staff. If it was an exam would give no more than five out of ten.
L. W.
Great choice of food and non food items. Pricing very competitive. Choice of fresh produce impressive and great quality. Good choice of electricals. Other concessionaries in store. Lottery desk at the cigarette kiosk. Instore cafe available. Staff are really friendly and approachable.
L. H.
I like to comment. of ur young lad on the photography dept. He was very helpful and polite also very knowledgeable. We went there to get photos printed off our phone and we didn’t have a clue. So he helped us and advised us on other products.
J. D.
It's an ASDA Superstore, offering everything an ASDA Superstore offers. Plenty of parking area. Clean store. Restaurant not one of the best, food left too long on hot plates and gets hard and dry. Also not always the cheapest but a good variety of stuff.
A. S.
We bought a sofa, TV stand, lots of frames and lunch at this Ikea today (Sunday). Just be aware that the opening times are late on Sundays (11am) but you can start looking around at 10am. The staff have been extremely helpful every time I've been to this Ikea.
D. M.
Refurbished nearly finished lots of people about curious
J.
Big store , amble parking .
B. B.
We went to Milton Keynes store on Thursday 19th March 2015 and enjoyed our time until we got to the checkout where my husband realised he had lost his wallet. After a frantic search back at the car and car park we went to customer services where we were told it had been handed in by a member of staff, we are so grateful to that person. My husband wanted to leave a reward but we were told it was not company policy….so whoever that person was a very big thank you from us both.
L. M.
Absolute huge and should have most people's regular shoppung requirements. The help desk us often understaffed and the sandwich selection woeful and unchanging.
We always park here for the three hours free parking and add in a trip to Ikea.
The roads around the store get very busy when the MK Dons are playing at home so avoid just before kickoff and after the final whistle.
V. 0.
I always enjoy a day at Ikea, we like the products and understand why staffing is kept to a minimum.
For me, the Milton Keynes restaurant lets the store down. We were very disappointed on our previous visit and will endeavour to eat prior to shopping at the store in the future. Basic hygiene rules appeared ignored, a female assistant entered the kitchen area and promptly REMOVED her cap. Many of the male serving staff had facial hair but only one had attempted to wear a snood. Finally the person who served us was very abrupt in his manner and left his colleague struggling to keep up with the hurried way in which he worked.
The restaurant itself had dirty tables and the young man who eventually came to clear our area removed 2 highchairs from beside our table but 'flicked' the food left on them onto the floor beside us!
After queuing up for drinks we found the hot water dispenser wasn't working.
While I understand the need to keep staffing to a minimum, the restaurant is a very busy area and customers deserve a good service, more willing staff would ensure a smoother running of the area.
Y. V.
Is my favourite place to shop because is open 24 hours and I can go by early morning with out any agglomerations.
G. B.
Open long hours ,friendly staff.
T. D.
Home delivery very good, efficient and good value for money. Was emailed in advance to confirm delivery and phoned one hour before driver arrived who was then very helpful. Recommend IKEA highly.
R. M.
ASDA Milton Keynes
Great place to go 3 times a day for 10,000 Steps a day exercise, and of course l shop in there also a number of times every week. Nicely laid out store with good lighting. Only annoyance is the swinging advertising boards. Not sure they are a good idea health and safetywise, even saw one that had broken away from its hanger recently. Keep them still please...Apart from that, Asda MK is a 'Super' Store.
The staff are friendly and a good few of them recognise me as a daily visitor by site now. Many thanks to Yousuf and the other guys at Milton Keynes who always have a 'Hello' for me and for making me feel welcome.
Kindest Regards
Robin Merrall
J. M.
Despite Edmonton and probably Wembley being closer to me, it is far more laid back at the MK store. Worth a few miles more in the car for a far more pleasant experience at what can be a very busy retailer. Now have express self-checkouts to make it even quicker to get out!
E. A.
Make sure you sign up to Ikea Family, you can make some great savings in store. Yes they will send you marketing info but just ignore it like other spam.. you can sign up in store at any of the sign up booths
P. R.
Massive store, good range of food (world section is especially good) and household range
W. B.
When I was there it was just open at midnight. Really quiet except for shelf stackers clogging the aisles with racks and boxes.
K. G.
It's no Waitrose, but this is a nice Asda. It is HUGE! It's more Wal-Mart, than Asda and sells pretty much everything.
The customised pizza section is a great bargain and always busy. Check it out.
D. H.
Nice big store with wide aisle.
N. G.
Good store plenty of stock and product ranges available. Staff are friendly and approachable. Plenty of free parking available.
C. S.
Lots of price cut items and plenty of stock.
A. D.
Great store, good value. Lots of clothes for sale. Good variety of foods. Huge car park. A number of cash points.
J. o.
Has all I need. It's quite a big store but all essentials are there and more. Though only a handful of staff know how to use the handheld self service shopping device which helps you with your shopping as you go along-not sure what's called😀
G. U. M. L.
Try the meatballs! You can't go to Ikea without indulging in meatballs and gravy! My daughter also loves the cola here as well. She says it is better than Pepsi!
V. C.
A very large store with everything you could need in it. You can collect your groceries from online purchases and but fuel here. The store is always well stocked up and presentable.
J. M.
Massive store! Loved the George section especially!
T. C.
I had lunch in the cafe here, and then got up to go into the shop. As I approached the escalator I was aware of a small man chasing me shouting "excuse me!" loudly, repeatedly, and aggressively. He was chasing, and shouting after us, because he wanted us to clear our table after we had eaten... Jeez...
I don't object to self-clearing, and on this occasion just plain forgot. But I do object to being chased down the shop by an obnoxious man who spent more effort chasing us than he would have spent just doing his job of clearing the trays out.
L. W.
Visited today and it was just another supermarket visit but stood out as super excellent customer care by Ashley on the meat counter. Well done Ashley. A credit to Asda.
B.
Large asda store with lots of parking also has pay at pump petrol station, social distancing/masks in store
F. B.
It's a large asda store been be for two years ago they don't move the store around much which is a bonus to shoppers wide iles was out in in 30mins and cheap shopping and they don't give crapy points cards like big t
P. W.
Was ok this round, but they seriously need to resolve the checkout issues i.e insufficiently staffed and to many self checkouts down and out of action.
J. A.
Great range of products, but seems to go on forever and lacks any feeling of anything other than being aisle upon aisle of supermarket. Can have long queues during peak times
D.
Asda has pretty much everything you could wish for, has great customer services and a massive clothing section.
Just a shame other reviewers seem to be putting stupid reviews about Ikea.
B. B.
Not many people and easy shopping. Staff always freindly
C. E.
Love asda but it drives me mad..
There not to good at preparing for busy times. So when I go for my weeks shop the have hardly anything in.. not always tidy and miserable staff
E. G.
No spoons with a cap, commoners! not bad though.
M. U.
A good selection of products.
R. M.
Extra large store. Have a great clothes selection. Large home wear section and lots of isles for food with good selections.
S. H.
Always shop here. Great parking great prices easy to shop and has everything. Staff are always helpful and polite.
H. Y. A.
Very good variety of products, well trained and kind staff in general, even the restaurant is nice, Asda is my number 1 choice
M. K.
Busy but plenty to choose from and staff helpful
D. p.
Great staff at Asda, a lovely man called Andy and a very nice Irish lady couldn't do enough for me today, so helpful, and I got what I wanted, well done Asda!
J. M.
The selection is fairly good, but I feel it could be better for a store of its size. It's often very busy and difficult to find what you're looking for
B. K.
Good stuff
c. w.
Fantastic store. Huge variety for amazing prices. Brilliant homeware and clothing sections also.
T. J.
It's really big. Loads of parking space, well marked. Easy to find items. Great for shopping
S. B.
Very good place to do shopping. Great prices. Happy to help staff.
H. H.
Varsity and quality are questionable, though the staff make up for it in good old customer service. Well done adds cafe staff!
c. w.
Cheaper electrical goods than curries
I nearly paid £175 for a 10"tablet that you can get for £79 upwards. TV's are cheaper too.
G. W.
Good prices if the stuff is on offer, but otherwise is pretty close to the prices in tesco. Really good housewares section with a wide variety
R. W.
It's huge and does a lot of things. But they didn't even have any courgettes. There was water dripping from the roof into the floor, but none seemed to care enough to even put a warning sign around.
M. C.
Open 24 hours. Brilliant when you need something late at night. Large store has most things you could ever need.
T. E.
not good as you have stoped selling loose carrots you have cut back on the normal and replaced them with 2 types of self service tills that were half empty and needed more staff on normal tills I will never use self scanning tills just for shops to make more profit and not treat a customer as they should be treated
f. d.
Easy parking with toddler, Up to 2hrs
Staff very friendly, great for childrens clothes in price and quality.
W. D.
Always easy and quick to shop all u need is there
A. A.
Usual supercentre..open 24 hrs except weekends.
J. G.
Quality shop, lots of choice. Parking tricky when busy. Best visit when empty.
Д. Х.
Nice big store with a big selection. Checkout is not as slow as Morrisons, but not as fast as Lidl/Aldi.
N. p. M. K.
Great store with various products! Simply love it and glad it is located so nearby so I can always pop in :)
L. W.
No different from other supermarkets on price. Massive store with big ethnic selection. Tills are always busy
A. C.
Good parking space, store nice and clean, needs more checkout open, big Q for customer service
H. F.
A nice clean store, cheap prices, food, furniture, home, clothing, petrol and MORE
T. K.
Long queues for the pizza and they Coke in the fridge wasn't cold- but there were plenty of tills open and you can always park.
D. K.
Biggest Asda store in the UK, lots of choice & friendly, helpful staff 😊
Y. W.
Massive! Spoilt for choice and varieties! I was super impressed...so big I got tired of walking round and looking for what I need! Lol
D. K.
It was quiet not too busy went in had most of what I needed paid for it only one person in front of me and left without any problems
J. A.
Not only an excellent food store but many household goods, there is also a good selection of mens, ladies and children's clothing
K.
Always shop here if I am in the Milton Keynes area and be it a video game or a DVD this store never disappoints me
A. F.
The shop was low on items and half the quick serve tills wornt working or card only
L. S.
I find this super market always handy staff very friendly and you always find everything here
U. T.
Sometimes difficult to find what you want as store layout is a bit haphazard. Just when you get used to where things are, they change everything around!
L. M.
This is one of my favourite shopping superstores in Milton Keynes. Great deals and amazing products!
J. B.
Can get everything done at once get ur car filled up leave the car at the car wash so it can get cleaned while you shop
T. S.
Good shop lots of products here. Queues can be large though not great just to pop into.
