B.I am a new customer here, having only visited on two occasions, and most recently I visited and decided to try the hot food from their restaurant area, and Kim and the female chef were both very helpful when advising me on what food was vegan friendly. I decided to dine in and I was not disappointed, the meal was very nice and was well portioned, and the dining atmosphere was very relaxed.
I also did some general shopping, and their product selection is great, with a wide variety of fairly priced products.
Overall, I have walked away a very happy customer and will definitely return again in the future.

A. M.I love this supermarket. I used to live in Korea so I have a lot of foods that I miss from there and enjoy cooking. I can get almost everything I need here. There are so many delightfully different snacks, lots of frozen goodies, and even fresh lotus root, among with other Asian vegetables that are sometimes hard to come by. I tend to go about once a month to stock up on bits and bobs. I can't wait to be back in the office so I can try the hot food counter, topped rice, for lunch.

Their fresh food is amazing for takeaway but they are the best Southeast Asian supermarket in Newcastle. Rarely do they not have anything I require in stock. From Ramen to beansprouts, from Nori to milk tea, from Gyoza to kimchee they've always got my back.
w.Nice experience with lots of Asian choices but things tend to be on the pricey side (compared to other Chinese stores in Chinatown and those in Sunderland which also offered online order and delivery).
But the Chinese food is to go! Took the combo of roasted meat (pork, char siew and duck) which is to die for! Taste better than in some Chinese places in Chinatown! You know it’s freshly made, hence the taste is good. There’s more choices on the menu (which also allows dine in option) but I didn’t get it. Maybe on my next visit

As ever with such stores found it tricky to find exactly what I wanted but everything is clearly labelled and it just takes a bit of patience, and I got everything to make an authentic thai curry. Very pleased. It also has a small "takeaway "/ sit- in part with hot meals which looked good.

Staff are friendly and are happy to help you when asked. The store is kept clean and well organised at all times.
l.As always, a fab trip down to grab my fave Chinese, Malay and Korean foodstuffs. The fresh hot food is always a bonus at the end.

If you want to try something cool you should come here and get a cool drink as they have really nice drinks that are very different to what I usually drink.
This is the best place to get noodles from! They have a wide variation of noodles and they are the best instant noodles I've had!
S. L.I love this shop. Its fairly large with a good range of food options. Great for vegan shopping. Some items can be on the pricey side, but it balances out with other bargains. They have a small range of fresh produce and an instore bakery. The service is fast and efficient.

G.Really nice Chinese supermarket, has everything you need to start a Chinese cuisine 😋, you can find all sorts of spices, sauces rice..all kinds 😁, really nice place and really nice who enjoys this kind of shop. Below a wok, which I would say it's quite good, and not just a piece of thin metal and a really nice strainer. So all and all worth it. 👍

Making asian recipes at home has got so much easier since we realised how well stocked this shop is. Love the shop, their COVID control measures are decent and everyone seems to be following the rules. 10/10
K. S.Slightly more expensive than the other Asian supermarkets nearby, however they have a vast range of stock. The noodle section is especially fun to eat your way though over the span of a couple years.
They now have a bento food section which I thought was nice.
You’re spoiled for choice when it comes to soy sauce and rice.
The green tea options are also great.
They sell alcohol too.
E. J.We use this place regularly to stock up on geniune asian cup noodles of all manner of exciting flavours. Also they have some great vegetarian jerky made with soy protein and seitan and peanut protein - it's the most convincing artificial meat I've ever tasted. Also their teas and sweets are incredible. One of my favourite shops in Newcastle.
A. H.My go to Asian Grocery store! They have a variety of products (fresh, canned, bottled, frozen, snacks, spices) from all over Asia, I believe. The aisles are categorised accordingly, so it's easy for you to shop for what you need (and don't need 😄). Aside from the food products they sell, they also display little what-nots and bits for the kitchen - woks, chopsticks, bowls - even oriental ornaments for the home.
Being Filipino, this is where I shop to stock up on specific staple goods for the pantry that I use for my home cooking. They have the little bits that when I buy, make me less long for my mom's cooking to abate my homesickness.
Aside from the goods I've mentioned, they also sell produce and have a mini bakery that offer pastries and an assortment of bread to try.
Staff are friendly and help you look for whatever you need to scout for in shop. The shopping bags (as far as I know-otherwise I've been living a lie 🤪) are free of charge as well with the items you purchased, if in case you forget to bring them or end up buying loads.
Overall, a great place!

You can also order online with them if a little trip into Newcastle is difficult.

S.One of th best Asian stores in town where you can find everything an asian store needs in one place.
The only downside is, it s a tad more expensive.
What I mean is, the stuff here costs more because of location and size of store.
You can get the same stuff at Tsangs and Renhe chinese stores for lesser cost (some Tsang foods store also have student discount for all the students out there)
But still please do check it out

Most of the workers are very friendly and helpful and if you are a fanatic for Asian food , you could probably die happy in there .
S. I.A surprising find amongst the usual inner city shops. It has a wide range of Oriental foods, Chinese, Korean and Japanese. There is fresh produce, including hyped versions of our most popular European snacks, the sandwich and the sweet doughnut or bun. My family bought pork buns and various cream buns plus loads of their favourite noodle packs. There are aisles of pasta, large bags of Thai, jasmine fragrant rice and of course different sizes of sushi rice. It is a large shop and if you don't know exactly what you're looking for, like a specific spice or oil you might just want to go to the checkout in the corner to ask for help. We stocked up on familiar goods... ( my surname and family are part Japanese)on our way to our air b n b in South Shields. It was a good move as the supermarkets there weren't up to scratch. There are some useful notices scattered about that tell you where martial classes are and other events notices.

V. Y.Everything overseas grocery food you need, because they had to pay high rent to INTU, lots of item more prices to pay than other Chinese grocery. But I like this place because they've reliability stock and opening time.
H.Love it here. Has massive selection, cheap produce, even some convenience store items at the back. Massive shelves of ramen and Oreos here are 20p cheaper than in sainsburys. The place has a really nice relaxed atmosphere and when they’ve just baked buns it smells amazing.

M. H.A modern very well stocked and comprehensive Chinese grocery supermarket & bakery. Sells all types of Asian foodstuffs not available in regular supermarkets. Convenient central location in the city centre, but they do add a price premium onto items because of this! Other Asian stores such as the Wing-Hong supermarket in chinatown and Percy Street, and the cash & carry warehouse in George Street can offer better value if you go further afield.

J. J.Walking into the store, you're welcomed by the amazing smell of authenic aisian pastry and buns. The produce sold here is fresh, great quality and is very broad in choices. They have every aisian drink you cpuld imagine, every type of ramen you could have thought of. HiYoU has plent of real food for shopping including lots of bulk buy ingredients. They also sell lots of asian candy and confections that are very impressive in price compares to places like tesco and Amazon. Furthermore the choice of frozen asian goods is also impressive and the price is somewhat more costly, but compared to many other competitors is reasonable.
Aside from the food, they also have seasonal decorations and asian cookware towards the back of the store. The staff are very friendly and always very helpful with plenty of great recommendations. If you're an exchange student or have come from an asian country then this store has you covered for all of your essentials and most of your home comforts.
Overall I found the place to be perfect for getting ingredients for authentic Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese food. If I have the money the candy, mochi, drinks are a must-buy. Accepts, Debit and Credit card with contactless with no minimum spend and no tariff charge which is great since some places dont offer that.
