Reviews of Sneinton Market

I've lived in Nottingham almost 15 years and didn't even know this little gem of a market existed. Why too much to go in to here but highlights are the Brazil cultural center and Luisa's chocolate. Can't wait to visit again
P. L.
There are plenty of places to eat and there is a good small supermarket. The market it self is non-existent, and worse than Vic Centre market.
A. S.
Visited during night light which was an amazing display of local talent and creativity. The market had many of it's creative spaces open for people to see and the shop at the front sells a wide range of products from these independent small businesses. Great place to shop for gifts or home decorations.
M. D.
Went to one of the Vegan markets. Lovely atmosphere with lots of stalls. A good mix of places to get food (hot and cold) and also other vegan products such as textiles and beauty products.
S. B.
It's great what they've done here, turning it from an eyesore into a community hub. Shops are decent, with sports and craft shops and you can get a decent coffee and food, sandwiches, breakfast and meals at the cafes there, well worth a try.
E. D.
Something rather nice here. Its probably half occupied at the present with some interesting boutique small businesses getting going but there's a "early mini Covent Garden" on the way - I hope - and there's a flour mill about to start there too.
R. L.
Has a number of interesting shops/outlets and hosts interesting events. Can be a bit quiet on a weekday
D. P.
Always an interesting place to go. Many start-up 'creatives' retailing their unique and interesting products.

I visited Sneinton Vegan Market recently, its not a big market but its different as its all about Vegan.
There are a stalls selling Vegan food and drink .
From burgers to curries, cakes and ice creams and even Vegan wine, plus other stalls stalls selling lots of other different items.
There is a lovely Vintage second hand stall which I really like selling a lovely variety of clothing and other accessories .
There are also a few permanent shops on the Avenues selling all sorts of different items. The Avenue is actually on the market.
There is plenty of seating areas and places to sit and grab a drink and a snack. .
I managed to get a parking space in the carpark which is adjacent to the market. 1st hour is free parking, after that its a couple of quid , all depending how long you want to stay.

This place has changed so much over the last few years, the buildings are now inhabited, there are lot of artisan shops and lots of, how can I say, young and trendy people that frequent the place, I hasten to add i'm not young and trendy, but I now visit the montana paint shop which I had no idea was there until a few weeks ago.
A. H.
Enjoyed a little rest on our Sunday walk, sat watching the skateboarders performing tricks.
A. B.
Great mix of independent businesses
Make sure you check out the Fox and Grapes and the Neon Raptor tap-room
L. B. (.
Ok so it's quiet out of season but still has plenty to offer. Get there earlier rather than later though. I'll be back soon myself!

Great effort, hopefully the public could do more to support local businesses by supporting stores at Sneiton Market.

Used to love this place like no other when they were still doing vegan markets every 1st & 3rd week of each month. Now they still call it a vegan market but they allow people to sell non-vegan food. A real shame to do this to a place that used to be a safe space for vegans.
s. b.
Not been for a while lots of new cafe's and place's to eat will return soon enjoyed the experience 😁
M. P.
Great pop up vendors with great food. Staff are lovely, really well organised to obey covid guidelines.
G. C. (.
One of my favourite places in Nottingham. A fantastic, creative, and friendly environment. A hub of local and independent business, delicious coffee, weekly markets (that are vegan friendly) and a good place to skateboard. I also love the legal graffiti walls they have too.
J. E.
Cute and independent ++ Luisa's vegan choco is a must
D. B.
Nice place with a few interesting retailers like VietCentric for all things Vietnamese.

Spent a lovely morning checking out the independent traders and creative designers. Such a change from the run the mill hum drum retailers.
D. P.
Local historical market with all types of products and services. Local artisans, activists and artists expose and gather around the area. The street market on Saturdays is a very special and unique event and movement happening weekly in the city for the city. Tourists are welcome!
P. W.
We like to go to the vegan market, although it has not been as good recently.
R. J.
Love blend cafe and my dog is welcome there.
I. B.
Laid back, sort of alternative culture that is attracted to this venue. Cool and relaxing atmosphere. We'll worth a visit to support local small businesses
T. H.
Lovely place. Lots a really good independent shops. Blend for great coffee and cake. A coffee roaster next door and a brewery on the next row. Neon Raptor anyone?
N. M.
Oozee Boozee Bakes is a wonderful surprise for those who love vegan or gluten free desserts. The proprietor was very friendly and the desserts were scrumptious.
S. W.
Great little market with independent stalls and a great vibe
T. C.
Great area for going for a beer in Nottingham. Plenty of craft beer at the Pub Fox and Grapes and the Neon Raptor Brewery. The king Billy and Bunkers Hill pubs also surround the market.
P. H.

Vegan market is brilliant, nice stalls, nice atmosphere, some really interesting foods, the area itself is a little small, but it does give it a bit of a hipster vibe. Family friendly, with 2 hour free on-street parking on nearby streets with pay parking when theres no spaces.

Love to spend Sunday morning here. Especially when vegan market is on. Had some lovely food from couple of stalls here together with coffee which we grabbed in Blend cafe. We other come to Blend for Sunday breakfast and the amazing thing is... no problem to take my little doggie in
N. B.
Good place for small party
K. W.
There's a lovely vegan market there once a month which never fails to impress and inspire me. There's also a beautiful water feature (water jets coming out of the ground at intervals) which kids seem to love to play with. Lots of seating around the edge of the marketplace too so perfect for a rest in the summer heat!
R. M.
Nice little market to get fresh produce
J. H.
sapport your local area people, sneinton market should has got some good things down there but they have got the best priced bed shop and all you need for your home,
R. E.

One star for the one stall on Saturday. Five stars for skateboarding and hippie club types that get wet in the fountain and don't care about much other than rock n roll boards and water even sex and drugs. Party enjoy.
N. W.
we chose the vegan Market. Losts of choices came away stuffed. we had some lovely saus Rolls from the bread stand.
R. M.
Vegan market on the 1st and 2nd Saturday each month. Delicious junk vegan food which I can highly recommend. Also ethical gifts available, hot drinks, falafel wraps even a used book stall. Take cash as not all stalls take card but well worth a visit.
B. C.
Some nice independent traders, including Neon Raptor brewery who have a taproom to drink in. There are often events on the square to including Nottingham Street Food club
M. M.
Great independent scene, cool location, lots of nice food and drinks, makers and artists, more of this please Nottingham.
P. d. W.
Hidden treasure of a place, historic market buildings right beside brand spanking new developments in the centre of Nottingham. Lovely little shops, arts and craft places, hipster beer joints, greasy spoon cafes, all manner of cool stuff, and the former home of the Nightbreed shop, so a piece of goth history, too.
A. K.
Pleasant enough. Visited vegan market. Some nice food stalls. Bit small really. Lovely coffee in Blend. Bit too hipstery and arsey for me though. Sparsely occupied units. Nice vintage unit.
m. f.

A very unique place with a lot going on, different businesses to meet different customers needs which makes it the place to go from a business that makes it's own coffee to a business that is known for its architecture. Deffo worth a visit to explore the different types of business operating in and around sneinton market.
