This is a review of the cafe not the store. After finding no other open cafe’s in Garstang we defaulted to Booth’s. It’s a large open plan style cafe upstairs above the store. Despite the size there are not that many tables which most were full of people drinking tea / coffee. We ordered and found the staff pleasant and quick at serving at the till. We found a table and sat to wait. We had seen a table by the window had come free but not cleared. We had our drinks and still after 20 minutes our food had not come so chased up the staff member on the till. As mentioned the cafe had drinkers but not many with food. We were told it’s on its way. A further 5 minutes and the food arrived. The food was good and hot and the staff were pleasant but the overall experience in the cafe was lacking. The three star is for the slow service and we left rather underwhelmed. Access to the cafe is via a set of stairs but there is a lift. One very frustrating problem was the nearest entrance door to the cafe was locked. It meant you had to walk all the way round past the tills to access the stairs. You had the same problem on exit. Not ideal for the entrance to the cafe.

Really nice supermarket if you've got a loyalty card you can get a breakfast roll and a brew for £4 or cake and brew in the cafe. Plus there some offer's throughout the store. The toilets are upstairs you can either get the lift or use the stairs. They do have a reduced section on the grocery and chilled section throughout the day. Plus a nice selections of bread and cakes. The staff all very friendly and I found the store clean and tidy.

I meet my friend here for lunch every month. The cafe is very good and well priced with a varied light selection. Staff are friendly and well presented. Toilets always clean. The food section is very nicely set out with lovely locally sourced produce.

I come to booths often more than 3 times a week, for shopping and enjoy a visit to the hot food counter. I would just like to say how fantastic staff member Rebecca is, I'm super picky with how my sandwiches are made and every time I'm served by this lovely lady she goes that extra mile. She is extremely polite and hard working. Booths you really have a cracker there:)

The Christmas displays were spectacular,such a wonderful range of Christmas gifts. The willows restaurant serves first rate food, and the farm shop sold a wide variety of local produce The atmosphere was wonderful, friendly and helpful staff,well worth a visit, I will definitely be going again

Great service, kirsty in the cafe gave a great service and had a great attitude so thank you for that,,the store had everything I needed and the toilets were clean. Even the big issue vendor was polite and curtious and was able to take payment for his magazine through an izettle device and was able to take apple pay, Google pay, android pay, chip & pin & contactless which was a great thing and although I know his not part of the store he was not pushy or annoying.

Very good food shop, on a par with Waitrose. Delicious pork pies and they sell individual cooked beetroot-but you need to take a suitable container. Lots of eco-friendly ranges.

Visited Booths for the first time today and have to say we will definitely be back. The shop is large and well stocked but we especially loved the restaurant, it also is large and spacious with tables and chairs if you want to eat a meal but there are also comfy armchairs and sofas if you want to relax and enjoy a coffee. The staff are very helpful and friendly 🙂. All in all a great find, we know where we will be having lunch next time we are in the area.

They recently got rid of the self checkouts but have failed to replace them with enough staff members on the tills. Purchasing anything now take 4 times as long!

Some good offers, although as I've previously experienced on fresh produce with multi savings - the fruit & veg is poorer quality or has much shorter best before dates. Also disappointed with lack of choice for Gluten free products on shelves eg black pudding, which I can buy from other supermarkets. Ladies on butchers / deli very helpful, thank you.

First time in the store but we were only going to the café upstairs for a pot of tea after a day out in the village. We were very happy with the price as we weren't aware it was half price with our Booths card and also the café is much nicer inside than the one we sometimes go to in Poulton le Fylde. Some of the tables hadn't been cleared when we arrived but I think there was only one person working on a Sunday afternoon. However, she did manage to find the time to go round after we were seated and as we waited to be served she was assisting an elderly customer with mobility problems to get settled into the seat of her choice. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Brilliant store and upstairs café. The whole store is spotlessly clean and a great place to shop for food, drink etc. Make a point of checking the use by dates on food you buy. Just bought some sirloin steak and when I got home found it was 3 days past its use by date.

Yes good shop with a good range of spiecialist food ranges good quality items maybe not as cheap as Lidl or Aldi but far better food quality and if you bag a yellow sticker your quids in plus there's self check out or best of all plenty of checkout tills with very pleasant staff

Visited for the Cafe, if you like slow service (30 minutes + in the queue) this is the place to go! There was a VAT reduction in the Cafe which was nice but they only had one member of staff serving and I think two in the kitchen, the staff suggested it was pretty normal and were very apologetic.

Stopped to grab some lunch from the hot counter. The food was nice, and reasonably priced, but what they had was limited as most things had sold out (it was 12.45). I popped in to the store on Thursday just for a pie and some baps. I arrived at the counter where the cold cuts and pies are. I was surprised to note that the stout chap serving a lady next to me picked everything up with his bare hands, no paper or plastic gloves. He served the lady and then asked why I would like. I asked for a pork pie, he just picked it up, no grease proof paper or bag, he didn’t even wash his hands between serving the lady them myself. This is a total disregard for hygiene and more so in these days. Terrible.

I was browsing in Booths while getting a couple of items and spotted their meal boxes. Chermoula spiced salmon & Tabbouleh salad caught my eye. It was delicious. We added a serving of green beans with it and enjoyed having a meal not normally on our menu. Booths is full of foods you don't find in the big four supermarkets.

The shop is great, but I was very disappointed with the cafe. I'm gluten intolerant and it was breakfast time the only thing that was offered to me was a gluten free cheese sandwich. It is annoying that there are vegetarian & vegan choices which are lifestyle decisions, but not GF choices which is a medical condition.

Carpark can be tricky with the quality of the old codgers driving around.. suggest parking as far from the door as possible. Update.. they do have some good special offers, so always worth checking, and they change frequently. Some good wines sold too.

Went for afternoon tea. Really good and very good value. £15-00 for two people. (£12-50) if you have a Booths loyalty card. Three different sandwiches, four different mini cakes each, a large scone with a mini jar of jam and a mini pot of clotted cream each and a pot of tea which served two cups each, excellent. The sandwiches were nice and fresh and the cakes were soft and moist. Not a dry crumb in sight. The café is upstairs and is large and airy. There is a lift for those who need it, and the loos are also situated upstairs. The car park which used to be pay and display is now FREE for up to 3hrs. The staff are pleasant and hard working. A lovely experience.

Booths is such a nice place to shop (for a supermarket) and this one is one of the nicest I've been in. It's one of the newer buildings and it is really quite posh (and very large dor a Booths). The cafe upstairs is amazing and equipped with very clean, upmarket toilets. The car park is absolutely massive as well.

Friendly staff who offer common sense advice, the aroma of fresh ground coffee, super fresh produce, free cups of coffee and a great cafe to meet friends for a catch up and a meal. Lovely big airy shop, clean and well organised, so easy to find items. Great bakery area, fish counter, meat counter, cheese counter. Lots of yellow-label reduced-price date-related fresh food bargains to discover and take home to eat that day or pop in freezer for future use! And pre-Corvid, there's a really lovely café to enjoy coffee, fresh scones and tea, super sandwiches, or more substantial lunches, even a Big Breakfast as a lunch! Wonderful sto e, always a pleasure to pay a visit from Lancaster.

On the shop floor excellent colleague on bws lots of knowledge we bought lots of beer. Only wish I could say the same for the cafe. Left waiting for ages at entrance only to have a sign fallen on the floor pointed out to me, saying, in quiet periods go straight to the counter. Went to counter was told they couldn't make a toastie as they didn't make hot meals except at lunchtime! (I don't think a toastie counted as a hot meal! Asked for afternoon tea was told we wouldn't enjoy it as there was insufficient time to eat it before they closed! The time was 4pm on a Saturday! Very poor offhand service

Good range of goods, but as with all supermarkets, the two for one offers can be really annoying. Today, 500g Bitesize Shreddies £2-75, 750g £2-00! Where's the sense in that? The free hot drink should only be earned by spending a certain amount, not given to anyone with a Booths card who just happens to be passing.
