D.Love this supermarket, even if it is a bit pricier than others, it's worth the visit for a mooch, buy products a little different from others, higher end quality products, and even stylish own brand packaging.... yes I love the washing up liquid bottle, and it's fragrance! Nice atmosphere, and wide aisles so doesn't feel crowded. Cafe lovely too, albeit slow.
K. P.I adore Waitrose vegan and vegetarian selection. I don't shop there all the time and usually buy items in the reduced section but if I see something that I like the look of I will splash out. Their British strawberries are the absolute best . They actually taste like the strawberries I used to eat as a child yum yum
D. T.Happy with my shop at Waitrose only place I can get low carb bread. Also I find their lamb is as good if not better than anywhere else. Finally the Craster kippers are to die for, I love them!
J. B.Shop here every week and it's a clean store with friendly staff and decent range/stock levels. Parking is easy if you use the spaces near VUE rather than the chaotic McD side. The prices on some things are a bit more expensive than the larger supermarkets but nothing like people seem to imagine and they do carry plenty of offers. Alcohol section really good as well, particularly the wines & spirits. Only been in the café a few times and it was fine and seems popular.
There are a number of things that set them apart from the usual supermarkets imo. The 'scan & go' works really well, the loyalty card is genuinely beneficial and their welfare standards/fair pay to suppliers are taken more seriously. They also stock things that other supermarkets don't though this tends to be where the higher prices emerge as it's typically the more 'fancy' alternatives such as quails eggs etc. We don't buy stuff like that though.
In summary I think I'd say it just feels a pleasant place to shop rather than a bit of a hassle and my only negative would be that it could do with being a larger store.

A nice refinement about the place. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for, and will go back.
K. C.We were met by a polite and friendly young man as soon as we entered the shop. He was able to direct us to where we needed to go for ordering a kilt.
We had a wait a few minutes as there was only one assistant who measured for kilts. He was brilliant and knew his stuff. Engaged with us as a family and offered advice when needed. He is definitely an asset to the shop. We found out the shop is moving across fro M&S in October as there shop has a serious problem with leaks when it rains.
Would recommend any one who needs formal wear or anything mens wear to consider this shop. The quality of the clothing is great and the services is brilliant.

L. B.OK experience whilst shopping in the store. The lady on the CO seemed stressed & distracted when I asked her a question . However the experience in the cafe fully made up for the ok store experience.I usually use the waitrose in Knutsford or Alderley Edge these are smaller stores so perhaps less stressful. Going back to the cafe . Super efficient delicious soup and more importantly pipping hot! Extremely friendly lovely staff!
P. N.If you want something different in the way of food etc, definitely worth having a look round Waitrose.

m. o.Food is great quality. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Our 2 year old fell asleep in store and a member of staff came and helped with the shopping to make it easier while his mum carried him . How many supermarkets do the staff offer such good service in. Only waitrose in my experience. The staff at still nicely stack your shopping at end while you empty trolley on conveyor, then wait till you catch up packing, there is no scanning and pushing the food as fast as possible. Patient and helpful staff. Wonderful shopping service and experience. Is it worth the little extra your shopping costs at waitrose. Yes it is.

C. W.Lovely shopping experience in Waitrose Walton le dale. Store was well laid out, clean and spacious. Plenty of stock and got everything I wanted and more. On arriving at till 2 assistant s appeared from different directions to help, how nice is that. After a laugh with them both was served by the lovely Amanda on the till. She was chatty, friendly and welcoming. This was near the end of the day. Not always you get people so bubbly near the end of their shift but Amanda was a credit to Waitrose. If your reading this store manager, it was a pleasure to meet her, she certainly makes me want to shop in your store again.

M. R.I don't always shop here as I don't live in Preston however each time I visit I love it! This visit was no exception. A young girl initially helped me (sorry I didn't get her name) and she gave outstanding help but Andy blew me away with his customer service even helping me to my car! It is all about the journey and experience and you nailed it! 🙌

P. M.Staff are awesome and nothing is too much of a fuss. I'd already checked out and asked for a particular wine I'd like that I couldn't find. The till person contacted the wine department and John helped me purchase a very similar wine and gave me advice on purchasing the wine I'd come in for.

S.Went August 2020, everyone was wearing masks and social distancing guidelines followed. Everything was fully stocked and some sales were on. Cash and card payments allowed. However, only one way to enter and exit which is silly. The shopping trolley/cart needs to be sanitised regularly and properly.

S.Popped over on a bike ride to gather some bits, asked a member of staff for some help who was a little busy so asked me to ask someone else, after looking round for someone else I spoke to a lovely lady whom was very helpful in finding the item I was looking for. Overall a great shopping experience in the present situation

N. O.I completed an online order for collection. I fell upon the area for collection, it wasn't clearly marked. I then noticed the parking bays and collection point. The numbered bays weren't in sequence order and it was also missing a number (didn't think this was intentional). However signage indicated you needed to ring a telephone number which after every other option eventually left you with the usual, for all other enquiries please dial... Eventually someone did come out with the shopping and left the trolley of goods at the back of the car. I was expecting better but it was sufficient!
C. B.Im not a regular to Waitrose so I didn't know what to expect. Came to get a drink and a valentine's card for my wife. I also got a birthday card for my grandfather. The cards cost £5 each. Can't believe I spent £10 on two cards. Other than that, the shop is nice and clean, well laid out and staff are friendly.
D. S.Great quality goods, plus lots of things you can't get elsewhere. Not the cheapest, but if you intersperse you shopping here with other places and look out for their great quality own brand foods, it becomes much more reasonable ie their own brand baked beans are the best, not too sweet and not swimming in sauce like many other brands. Their Waitrose flour is the same; the wholemeal multiseed bread flour is superb (yellow bag). Staff are lovely too eg the wine dept are very helpful and the knowledgeable wine guy (pointy beard) is a mine of information and non-condescending when I show my obvious lack of wine sense!
S. R.Lovely store nice to shop in. Great choice of gluten free food. They sell unusual foods as well as the everyday stuff, fresh cooked meat and a bakery. At the rear of the store is a bits and pieces selection of pots, storage, gifty type items and more. Great café, whilst shopping pop in, if you have a loyalty card buy something to go with your own cup you get the drink free to take away from the machine. Toilets at the rear of the store. Parking area soon fills up at weekend but there's usually a spot on the left side (cinema) and possibly easier for some.

C. B.This Waitrose is a relatively small supermarket but has most of what you need. Of particular note is the excellent range of vegan products that can't be found in other mainstream supermarkets. There is a price premium on everything of course but it's a good place to top up the weekly shop. The café is the usual supermarket fare and doesn't really offer anything for vegans.

Took 25mins to get in... not a problem. However once in people were not abiding to the distance rule. People pushing in next to me... people just walking up and down isles as if everything was ok. The one thing that miffed me off was 2 women.. mother and daughter who stood at the top of an isle talking about who was getting what and knowing people wanted to pass did nothing but give dirty looks and kept chatting?

C. M.I love Waitrose. It's not particularly local so don't get there as often as I would like. Loads of organic options throughout the shop- not just fruit and veg. The home brand eco products (eco-logical) are very good and I always stock up. An irresistible bakery section. I always pick something unusual from the bath and toiletries aisle (on this occasion it was a glass jar of Humble Bath Honey... Looking forward to giving that a try). A pretty decent offer on prosecco at the moment as well. As far as supermarkets go, excellent!

D. B.We were not really using Waitrose as such, just collecting online John Lewis package from customer services. For this there was quite a long queue and wait but perhaps this is to be expected the day after Black Friday. The staff were doing their best but they were having to fetch the parcels from somewhere round the back and it was rather time consuming. The parcel was present and correct when it finally arrived.
