A. W. (.Lots of zero waste / plastic free and organic & wholefoods options here. There is a huge range of cereals, nuts and dried fruit, grains, seeds, pasta and rice, soaps, laundry liquid and fabric softener etc available which you can fill your own containers with, plus a good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, and fresh bread. Many vegan and health food options, vegan cheeses, kombucha and suchlike. I like the number of glass and paper packaged products, great for if you're trying to cut down on single-use plastics. Friendly helpful staff. Love supporting these small shops and co-ops.

J. S.This was my first time there and I'm absolutely smitten. There's a great range of food as well as household products available. There are bins of serve yourself nuts and dried fruit etc., tinned goods, packet goods such as pasta and even a facility to re-fill your washing liquid and fabric conditioner bottles. The range of fresh fruit and vegetables looks great and the bakery items include sourdough bread. The only minor negative is the limited parking though I was lucky enough to find a space right outside. You might have to park a bit further away sometimes but that's not a great problem. Oh, yes, and I love the fact that the Co-op is owned by members and run by volunteers. The man who served me was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. A brilliant shop and long may it continue.
R. B.Wonderful local co-operative shop largely run by volunteers. Lots of organic food, fair trade items and local produce. Dry goods can be measured out into paper bags or in your own containers you've brought with you. So, you can buy as much or as little as you like. Really worth supporting this shop. Closed on Tuesdays and Sundays.
S. B.Excellent shop for refill products, organic fruit and veg. I shop here every week and it’s a pleasure, the staff are always friendly and helpful. I support anywhere that supports local, organic farming and reducing plastic waste.
P. M.This little shop is packed with local produce and organic goods. They also have a good variety of freshly baked bread everyday from sourdoughs to pastries and quiches. We particularly like to buy nuts, dried fruit and grains from the bulk bins - these are always fresh and really good quality. There is a small selection of meats, cheeses and frozen produce and a much larger selection of store cupboard items (includes nut/seed butters, fish, beans, a variety of honeys and spreads, pastas, varieties of flours/seed&lentil-based flours, baking ingredients, vegan and other chocolates, teas, biscuits, snacks, etc). It is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
H. L.What a lovely shop, the staff where awesome and super friendly. Brought our own containers and bought lots of loose stuff. A valued commodity in today’s age! If your trying to reduce waste this place is awesome, lots of different stuff. But also has vegan foods and fresh veg. I wish I lived closer to this place. If you are thinking of going, don’t think just go! It’s so worth it!
K. 2.Considering the current crisis, this shop is a godsend! The ONLY place we could find pasta and bonus.. it was plastic free! They have amazing variety and a lot of vegan options. Also loose fruit and veg :)

They stock a wide range of quality and good value organic fresh and dried foods, and act as a food hub supporting local growers and artisan producers. Best shop in town and a great model for sustainable community food sourcing.

I keep coming back here for some of my base wares - like their organic raspberry jam, mixed salads, chilled falafels and lose weight cashews plus all the ingredients for my homemade müsli. Staff is always helpful and nice. Affordable prices too. Do pay it a visit if you're in the neighbourhood.
R.Great place for Organic and Natural food in Reading. It's a small place and a little hard to find if you don't know Caversham but worth the Journey. Helpful staff and the ability to buy the exact amount of many items without having to supersize and waste part of what you want! There is nothing like it without having to go into London!

Z. Y.has some great produce & vegan snacks, but seems a little hypocritical that they care so much about food being organic (when organic farming has weak evidence to support it) and yet sell meat and dairy (which has masses of evidence showing its damage to the environment and immense cruelty)

S.Well thought out little shop, jams are amazing, and there are some surprisingly great finds throughout. They have very sensible social distancing guidelines also.
