It’s a large store in the centre of the city. Car parking is available within the complex with lifts available. Access is good for the disabled too. All you’d expect from a supermarket but occasionally it gets clogged up at the self service checkouts particularly in lunch hours or the weekend. All the tills aren’t always open and it’s frustrating when you see them but aren’t in operation. It’s why I have chosen to give three stars.

I just want to say a very big thank you to a guy in pharmacy, black,tail with dread . I came to collect my medication which I have already paid pharmacy2u, but the lady manager wasn't helpful with my situation and he is not allowing the young man to talk and he have a good idea about (sort her out,she is rude). This young man have to follow me to check out and told me to pay now and get my refund from other pharmacy ,that I need the medication which I did, I report this to a lady in check out name cat. My 5 star is for the black guy with dread and to the manager,she is lucky that am not his wife

Good range of products, very convenient location and amazing team. I would have given 5 stars if inside coffee vending machine wasn't out of order thrice in a row. I'll revisit and may change my review based on next visit experience. The hallway shops collection is really handy though. The mall is often quite busy so expect queues on tills and even self check out terminals. Fresh fruits and vegetables are always available which is a great plus compared to other malls close by. Oh and roll on discount offers are irresistible.

Asda=Walmart UK. So don't expect the greatest things but adequate for the basics. Crazy busy on weekends. These reviewers that complain about not the greatest customer service are asking for too much! The cafe on the 2nd floor has free toilets and features a quiet space to sit down and have a tea or a snack. It's right next to the Coach Station so instead of waiting for your bus there inhaling cigarette smoke, wait here instead.

Reasonable supermarket, staff are usually very helpful though it can take a while for them to realise you're waiting at the till. Very good selection of food including south Asian, Korean, Caribbean, eastern European, vegan and gluten free. Also has a cafe and George for clothes, some electronics, stationery, home goods and more.

I would just like to thank the gentleman on pharmacy in your Asda Southampton city centre store. I asked for sleeping tablets I think there called sleepeze, because I couldn't find them on the shelves. Your guy young black guy with loks very polite talked me out of it said is there anything else I could do to aid sleep.Hes right really don't want to be taking such things. 10/10 for his cdd. I went shopping today in the morning and had a surprisingly good experience in the checkout... Good amount of parking and very spacious inside. I like the George clothing range and also very good for buying on a budget. They have excellent quality of food and excellent quality of drink and quality of other products to their clothes. A very nice place you can get wherever you want

It was my first time dropping off a parcel at Asda toyou, and I was confused about where to go and how to make my parcel fit. Lisa cheerfully and patiently helped me out twice in a row, despite it being a busy time in the shop. Thank you Lisa!

Well laid out, great value shopping on a range of everyday items. Staff knowledgeable and ready to help on the whole. Somewhat messy by the self service tills but probably due to customer traffic, some with bad attitudes regarding staff rôle (demands and needy want of pampering). Staff professional and tolerant

New layout is confusing to get used to but now it has made life so much easier. Staff are friendly and helpful and it is good to see a cohesive team working in a big area! Rarely do I see a staff member hanging around doing nothing. The new self-scan system is good as it records people to limit the shop lifters so it’s good to see they are increasing the security of the store!

I have been shopping at this store for many years. This is a discount store offering excellent value which means service may be stretched at times but I've always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Please be kind to them - they work very hard.

Had breakfast in cafe, cutlery was not spotless. I was also overcharged, the Cumberland sausage bap is £2.25 but I was charged £2.85 as she listed the sausages at £0.75 each and the the bread bap at £0.60. I was given a refund with the revise that the sausage bap is not an option on her till. But the breakfast was good value and nice.

Huge variety of products sold in ASDA super stores. Great offers and discounts on many products. Can display major offers running at entrance will be very useful. Staff are largely cooperative and friendly. During peak hours long queues on checkout counters.

Big grocery store with good parking and public transport access. However the staff was not very helpful. I wanted to buy a cooked chicken and there were plenty ready. After 8 minutes of waiting for someone to return and serve me and the others I had to buy a raw chicken and cook it myself. It would have been nice to eat and go to bed before my night shift instead of cooking and washing up. Plenty of staff passed us but all of them said "oh he is coming back soon" and just walked on. I think when 3/4 people are waiting around, it was clearly visible that their colleague had been away for a long time.

Plenty of produce, lots of variety of goods and a clear layout so easy to navigate around the shop. It may be useful to add a few checkout tills as there aren't enough for the customers to purchase quickly.

Great for doing a general shop, some things are too expensive such as Salmon, Tesco sells it almost £1 cheaper and the restaurant stops serving food too early at around 5pm, when you compare it to Ikea, their restaurant stays open much later. I have bought a lot of clothes from Asdas, I like the quality and the price. It also has a good kitchen equipment range, though I didn't have a great experience of their order online and collect in the store as they hadn't even begun on my order when I was due to collect it and a couple of items on the website, they didn't have in stock and they didn't have a suitable alternative. It's in a great location, its easy to get a bus or taxi and it has a great walking distance from the high street so it's easy to compare prices. It's a good store, it's just easy to pick out the bad points as I have been there so many times for different things.

It has a better selection in the international section than other Asda stores, but it doesn't have the full clothing department found in larger ASDAs. The paid multi storey parking, with lifts and covered walkway to the store is reasonably priced. There are plenty of trolleys and a customer service desk is situated near the passport photo booth.

On the plus side, it's very close to the centre of town and the Marlands car park. Quite rare for any major supermarket in this area. And it's Asda, so we know prices will be lower than at Waitrose or Sainsbury's. But there's a negative side too - it's staff are probably it's 'Achilles heel'. A low quality customer service ethic, which probably points to a lack of training ... which in turn reflects badly - and directly - on the local store management team. I'll call in for a couple of bottles of wine every once in a while, but other than that, I tend to avoid the place. I like to use supermarkets where the staff seem happy to deal with me.

Big shop, a lot of things available, and you can always find things that you are looking for. Stocks halal meat as well and has good selection of South Asian spices and mixes. The customer service lady is a bit grumpy though.

Save yourself the money on a trip to the zoo and instead visit the Asda reduced section around 7pm, when they restock it. You’ll witness frenzied scenes of animal brutality as the council house-dwelling hairless apes of Southampton fight over every last scrap. I once saw an overweight fully grown man in a football shirt (there was no game on) snatch a freshly reduced chicken korma from a staff member’s hands, only to have it wrestled from him in turn by an Indian granny backed up by a clan of tracksuit-wearing manbabies. Quality viewing.

This place is huge. Asda is not my favourite chain but I always enjoy this huge places where you can find all you can imagine in a supermarket. Has a huge parking lot as well. The access to it for pedestrians is not that easy tho.
