K. B.It’s a store near me and had the odd occasion to get some items that are only available here.
It’s the best place for beer selection in a supermarket. So many specialty options for the connoisseur. Apart from that I don’t buy anything else. Not at their premium prices.
It’s clean. No waiting in queues and a large car park area outside. Recommend this for just the beer.
m. c.So grateful to deputy store manager when I turned up 20.10 thinking the store closed at 22.00. I needed dragon fruit for my sons gcse food exam and he gave me them as the tills were all shut down. Thank you so much. Donation to Ukraine 🇺🇦 done xx

A. H.Well .....it's a supermarket and it's Saturday!! Actually not too crowded, well stocked, plenty of tills open, and people sticking to the COVID rules. Being away from the main city centre, having it's own car park, and a short drive to either back to the Avenue or the M3 / M27 makes this a handy shop or Click and Collect point for John Lewis orders.
I. S.Always like shopping here, they have many interesting things. Today I got Calvados and horseradish, which I could not get anywhere else.
Oh and Pat is a legend 😉

R.waitrose in portswood is my favorite, I find a stress free shopping hear we order online and collect it from the store, we also like to shop for things we didn't order ,it's great to just wander as well the quality is good, the staff are amazing very helpful polite and friendly, nothing is to much trouble, in fact I would say that it is one of my happy places, professional and a great change from some stores I have been to in Southampton, well done waitrose, Capt Neldon Digby rtd.,
well we continue to use this store, it's been under a refurbishment, the fish and meat counters have all been upgraded and the display of produce is eye opening, the check out is vastly improved and many other changes have been made we had deliveries while this work went on , we were glad that click and collect is back on we love to go and get more produce that we didn't put on our list , the truth of the matter is , it's a stress free exspeariance, and respectfull staff are really helpfull customer services are first class,and we look forward to doing our shopping here, now how many stores can you say that, well done waitrose in portswood, HAPPYDAYS ALL OVER THE PLACE, CPT NELSON DIGBY RTD

M.Okay supermarket, but its happened a large number of times now where something is advertised on offer, but at the checkout the discount isn't applied. This has happened several times now so I advise anyone going there to check their receipt afterwards, or check the prices in self check out before paying. Staff aren't very helpful/ don't seem to acknowledge the mistakes either, so I yhink it's a way of just tricking people into paying more.
Has a nice bread selection though, but be weary over offers.
Also, I would like ti point out that staff do not wear masks (at least not during my past couple of visits)
o.Nowhere comes close. Love the fresh fruit! Stays fresh for ages. Not like other supermarkets

The young lady on customer service was also fantastic. Then I dropped one item and it smashed - it was replaced for me even though it was my fault. S. C.I love shopping at Waitrose. I particularly love the fact the customers think they are cut above anybody else. Meaning that they are frequently rude to the staff, but best of all, rude to each other. What people go through to prove their perceived entitlement. Food's nice though.

The social distancing and mask wearing is good in store and I feel safe when shopping here, the staff are always helpful and polite.
T.Always pop in here if I need any groceries midweek. Very friendly staff and for a small Waitrose very well stocked. Will miss it during lockdown looking forward to it re opening soon.

V. m.Love this place. Great friendly staff and small enough that it’s quick and convenient. If you can’t find what you are looking for they take you to the product or will look out the back. Now they introduced the new quick check machines shopping is very easy. Of course you can’t write a review about this place without mentioning Pat and her singing - always puts a smile on my face to see her!
V. Z.Would prefer to use Waitrose all the time as you're treated with respect and helpfulness. Cannot afford to buy all the items as they are expensive, but the fruit and vegetables and fish I purchase in Waitrose and all the items are first class quality. The raw meat is of the best quality. That will give you an idea of what I always buy there.
T. S.I found everything that I needed to buy. Also, I like getting my potatoes from you as they stay fresh for longer, I don't normally like apples but I enjoy the ones that I get from Waitrose.The cashier was also helpful & patient with me as it took quite awhile for to bag up my shopping.

K. S.A pleasant shopping experience, not as busy as other supermarkets with less impulse buys. Waitrose is often seen as a premium brand but it's very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful and shop is kept clean.

F.Always offer better quality than most supermarkets but since Covid 19 the staff there have been exceptional by organising the correct amount of customers instore, they discenfect the baskets/trolleys and they are so friendly to an extent that shopping is a pleasurable experience even in these dark days.
A. B.The food is great quality and the staff are ok, if a little grumpy. But their self-service checkouts are terrible. I use these in other shops with no problems at all. Here, you've a 50% chance of getting through without having to call over a member of staff to reset it, which defeats the point.

Quality seems a bit more variable these days with Waitrose products so it doesn't always feel like you get what you pay for. That said they've always been the best for buying good quality chocolate so that's always worth an extra star from me.
A. C.Very friendly and helpful staff - especially Pat who needs no encouragement to burst into song! Good range of food with an ok selection of gluten free options - but they always seem to run out of the nice GF bread. Coffee machines get switched off quite early, so not much good for late night caffeine hit!
E. R.The staff were incredibly kind when I had a collision with a car. They supported me when I was in shock and cared enough to take me to their staffroom and call 111. If it was just on those 3 staff alone I'd rate it 5 out of 5.
The African security guard is the reason 2 of the stars are missing. He follows you around everywhere and when you look up you can see he is staring at you. He makes me feel very uncomfortable and not like I can browse freely. It gives off an impression he thinks you are going to steal. I've never stolen anything. For this reason I tend to avoid going to Waitrose unless I need to.
l. n.People tell me that waitrose is very expensive but it's not, sainsburys is more expensive. I'm single on my own and I get the 3 meals for £10 and split each meal into half, plus the bits I need like veg and pasta it comes to £15. These meals last me 6 days and the quality is very good. I love the meatballs and pasta most of all and tbh restaurant quality matches waitrose. I'd admit some things are a Lil pricey but most times its cheaper. They do their milkshake for 90p and it's really good, sainsburys it's £1.30 and still good but still prefer waitrose.
The only reason why I not voted 5 stars is every time I shop there the security follow me like a hawk. I think waitrose needs to work on their advertising and create a more welcoming environment for every social class.
