Reviews of Warrington Market

VOTED The Best Large Indoors Market of 2022 in UK! Indeed one of the best places to visit if you are in Warrington. Why I love that place is simply cause the of food joints it ventures under its umbrella. It's like a world where everyone unites to taste the delicacies of the continents. Just to name a few - Thai, Chinese, Mexican, Korean, Italian, Palestinian, Middle Eastern, English and Yes with Bars for some awesome chilled beer of your choice. It also has small outlets of coffee shops, gift stores, butchers, Fish Seller, Veggie Outlets and many more on the 1st Floor. The entrance welcomes with loads of indoor sitting areas where you can enjoy your meal with your family. Only food I dint see are Indian dishes.

Had quick Lunch reasonable price pizzas were fresh and tasty so we're the season fries plenty off seating
Mixed sharwama was also good .If you are in Warrington town centre the market is worth a visit for some food
U.
Nice surprise for Warrington Town Centre! Food was lovely with numerous vendors to choose from.
Plenty of seating both outdoors and in.
A couple of different bars for drinks too.
Will look to return soon.
M. R.
Warrington market has always had a great selection of shops inside but the old building was very dated. Since moving into the new building the quality of the surroundings now match that of the shops! I would highly recommend eating in the food section I genuinely have not had a bad meal.

Amazing service!
We took around 20 of our son’s friends for a movie and a meal at the market for his birthday. (This review is a bit overdue as it was in Jan this year. But we have not forgotten). The ´cafe at the end of the universe’ were so helpful, they organised through the cookhouse manager a place at the market for the kids to sit and enjoy their meal. For no payment, the cookhouse manager himself got screens and tables and chairs and set it up. We were amazed by the service, the kindness, the dedication and the hard work the cookhouse manager showed.
No wonder the market is doing so well.
The food was fantastic and everyone had a good time.
5 star service!
Well done Warrington Market.

It has been a long time since I've visited the market. It was updated and refurbished to a great standard in 2020. Yet it does not lose the 'market feel'. The food court is bustling and the various stalls surrounding it are great value, friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
A. D.
Great place for drinks/food & catch up. Good atmosphere too.
It would have got 5☆ but... people were still vaping at the tables even though it clearly states in several areas it's prohibited. Wasn't worth complaining to staff as we saw 1 staff member doing it too 🙄
C. M.
This is a really nice market with shops and good food
J. R.
Great atmosphere, food and drinks. Perfect for all the family. Great meal choices including numerous vegan options. Lots of kids meal deals. Clean and good facilities.
M. b.
Visited after a colleague went. The market hall has one of each kind of stall but concentrates on the food stalls and bar. Really handy app to use and food was fresh and tasty. Will definitely return
H. B.
Brilliant facility, first market I've ever come across with cyber cafe type facilities. I was able to work there all morning and order refreshments online using their app. Excellent.
S. E.
I. Love. This. Market. So many good choices for food. Lots of quirky little stores and the freshest fruit and veg. I'd strongly recommend the Korean food place, it's so good!
S. A.
The food court is lovely with lots of choice and you can order at your table using the app. The trouble is it's quite expensive with restaurant prices with a posh cafe ambiance. Won't go again as it's just too dear for what it is.
G. G.
Went to the food hall, cafe at the end of the universe and dream shakes, amazing food and drinks.
I just need to remind myself that if I'm having a big burger I don't need the loaded fries..... who am I kidding they are delicious.
D. C.
Nice place to be, great variety of shops, not the same atmosphere as the old market but it's just a sign of the time's I guess! Always brought up to buy locally and support small business so try it out👌🏼
T. W.
We love this market, it's not a traditional market as such, more a modern take with brilliant eateries, a wide range of choices to eat and drink, great prices, and some good events (comedy club, quizzes, record fairs, etc.)
D.
Massive food market like Altrincham markets or Mackie Maher's in Manchester only bigger. We enjoyed a gorgeous lunch at Jak Blak my veggie shrooms with cauliflower was amazing. And their plates and cutlet are eco frit. Good veggie and vegan options as well as meat and fish. Highly recommend. Best place to park is the multistorey as pictured, not bad prices
c. j.
People of warrington don't know how lucky they are. I travel 20 plus miles to visit !!! Best fish, meat, cheese I've ever bought.
K. R.
Great food, great atmosphere and brilliant entertainment. Table service which is great but you can also go and order direct. Will definitely return and bring more people
D. W.
Quirky food Hall, bit of difference. Food from all over . Fair amount of choice . Quick and easy service and table service as well. We all found something to eat . Vegan , vegetarian, meat eaters , and children .. was great .Sat outside in the sun . Then had ice cream and had vegan ones as well 😋 so all happy again ..
M. P.
Really enjoyed the our visit to the market for a meal a couple of weeks ago. Love the concept of having multiple restaurants and bars and being able to order via app to your table. If you have several people in your group you can all order different food from the various restaurants and have it all served to your table. Great idea.
M. W.
A great place to visit with plenty of products to suit all tastes and budgets.
With friendly and helpful staff on hand to answer any questions you may have
P. S.
New Market is nice , feels very modern, BUT DON’T understand the toilets?? All I could I find were 3 disabled/men/women for 1 person at any time.
B. W.
Good market, great space to get around with a wheelchair. The cleaners in the food hall were really helpful with helping me. The comic shop is a great hidden treasure upstairs!!
D. B.
Great selection of independent food and drink vendors. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Love the burgers from the café at the end of the universe. Cinema and easy parking nearby.
L.
Good market. There is a wide range of food choices. The food quality is very good especially The cafe at the end of the universe. The burgers are very tasty. The non food stalls are cool. There is a variety of shops including a funko pop store, a pet shop and a instrument place amongst others. I'd recommend this market. Edited. Its still a good market. 👍
A. Y.
Love sitting outside the market when the weather is good. Had food, which wasn't the best but didn't complain. Would definitely go back.
T. O.
Very modern plenty of places to eat but unfortunately like all markets a lack of variety probably because just like chester they concentrate on eateries But by far the worst market since the changes is St John's in Liverpool a lot of empty stalls and.a sever lack of choice 😕
A. M.
I went to buy some wool and knitting patterns . The lady on the stall was very helpful and it was very reasonably priced. The market is lovely. A good addition to warrington
A. W.
Excellent modern market and food court.
s. g.
Lovely market, great variety of stalls, good and drink area provided well and upstairs for hair, tattoo and other little shopping necessities
H. C.
Nice to see people out and about even in the rain. Had a fantastic meal in the market plus coffee in town perfect
A. B.
Has a bit of something (food wise) for everyone and you can order on an app from your table! Great for big groups
C. W.
Never been here before but it was fantastic. A great choice of food, we could order from the table and there was very little wait time. I was able to have a great hot dog and fries while my other half had a fresh catsu curry (both options were great) The place was clean and well distanced so felt comfortable. There was a good atmosphere. Would come again.
N. H.
Wide range of food and drink, relaxed atmosphere. Very good place to eat.
N. C.
I love it in there. It gets busy but it's very nice inside and when the weather is fair there is plenty of space to sit outside as well. I got mainly for the food and there is just so many good things to try.
K. M.
Love this market and look forward to a return visit. Had delicious coffee and desert from Dark Side of the Spoon (the staff were very polite and helpful). Encountered an extremely diligent worker who was cleaning and attending to the ladies bathroom. Thank you, Warren for your hard work and thoroughness (it's very much valued).
A. S.
Very nice great food choices and good beer
A. P.
Something here for everyone. Very well organized, with a plethora of different vendors. Definitely well worth a look. Be warned though, as you enter you'll be greeted by the intoxicating aromas of 'The Cookhouse' and it's very difficult to say no to any of the businesses operating there, serving fresh food from many different cuisines, catering for everyone.
There are beautiful clothes stalls and butchers and greengrocers, all fantastic products and produce, with smiles all around. There are also wonderful trinkets to be obtained here. A trove for all the family!
m.
Excellent food, lots of little independent food stalls, 2 bars, outdoor seating. Great place check it out. Many visits later and after taking friends and family for many a meal can't recommend the market enough.
Cocktails and drinks are all good.
D. W.
Great variation of food on offer good beer and good food.
G. P.
I was almost speechless when I visited this new market. It is set in a fantastic cosmopolitan style (imho) centre... words are failing me here. It is definitely a crowd puller for Warrington. I don't know what the other buildings around the market are about yet, but the market is so bright and refreshing, I would travel to Warrington just to eat and drink there for the experience.
The the stalls each have there own persona, style, call it what you like. There are a great variety of eateries and an abundance of seating for individuals, families, and friends. The rest of Warrington town centre needs to catch-up with what has been accomplished at its new market place. It's moved far, far on from it's past dark and dreary past. It's a completely new and refreshing experience. Go there... just do it...
B.
Not the same atmosphere as the old building sorry to say didn't eat there as tables are far too close but that maybe the way I see and not sure they clean tables after each customer
D. B.
Good spoiled for choice when it comes fast food also a good selection of fresh produce
M. O.
When in town I always go to nosey parkers for my sugar free sweets The owners welcome you with a smile
J. S. c.
Lovely little market with some great stalls, especially the fish stall and fruit and veg stall, loads of choice and fresh
J. P.
Great place tow have coffee and sitting out side and watching the world go bye
A. M. S.
Love having a walk around the new market then going into the Cookhouse part for something to eat so much to choose from whatever you fancy eating incredible choices and at prices you can afford. It's lovely to see families eating together in there as well.
G. D.
The new market is a great addition to the town centre, replacing the old market which was needed. Some great little shops and such a varied range of cafes and places to grab some top food. Over the street there's also new bars and a brand new cinema. Really spaced at and you don't get the feeling of being over crowded like some other places.
D. H.
Not the market it used to be but if you want to eat there u are spoilt for choice
T. P.
Having the old market however the food and drunk section is brilliant
C. W.
Good food and craft sort of beer and check out the pet shop
J. J.
Great place to buy nearly anything and no shortage of nice places to eat and drink
C. B.
The food market is amazing had a vegan platter from the Palestinian stall there. Top marks. It was yummy 😋
D. M.
Managed to get tickets for the cookhouse comedy club last night, the whole evening was great! Fantastic food from casa mexica and eastern point, great service at the bar....really well organised. Great job done by all involved, would highly recommend!
J. J.
The new market has a vast variety of food options to choose from however the quantity of shops is very limited unfortunately.
A. P.
Open clean and a good range of shops
K. R.
Excellent had fantastic day out
I. S.
Went to the first Comedy Night held there. Absolutely brilliant night, great acts and great atmosphere. Variety of food available as well as two bars so all angles covered. Hope there's more to come.
B. R.
Not been to the Market for years but the change to it with the food court is really positive. Had Bao buns and Korean Fried Chicken from Eastern Promise and couple of tasty beers Seven brothers Watermelon Wheat from the bar. Great food and atmosphere
D. W.
Best Butchers (John Cross & Son) for miles around....top quality meats
R. M.
We had a great New Year's Eve night at the cookhouse with live music from the Soul Searchers, drinks from the Artisan Bar and food from Tams Chinese all brought to our table. Happy New Year!
J. R.
So impressed by the food market. So much choice at reasonable prices. Visited the Thai food stall, the papaya salad, chicken satay and thai fish cakes were delicious. The salad was a highlight, we saw it being freshly made and you could choose the heat. The two bars were also fab with a good selection of dri ks including cocktails. Will definitely be a regular visitor!
C. H.
Went for lunch in the food court with the family. Lots of choice and a really relaxed informal atmosphere. I thought the prices were pretty reasonable, all the meals from different vendors were about the same sort of price (£7ish for a meal and a drink) and were by all accounts delicious.
Not sure if the food places open into the evening but it'd be a great place to meet up with friends for something to eat with a few drinks before heading to the cinema or back towards the cultural quarter.
Hopefully it wont be long before I'm back there trying something else.
C. R.
Enjoyed this visit to the vegan food market. Still hoping though that more will properly cater for those that are plant based and gluten free. There was some lovely food that unfortunately I couldn't enjoy.
I think some Street entertainers would have improved it too especially if placed near the long queues of people waiting for food. They do it in York and it's very successful!
A.
Lovely variety of shops/stalls! Decent prices too. Table spacing great for eating indoors... Very chilled out experience and shop/market staff very friendly. We're on holiday and would definitely visit again. Highly recommend.
H. L.
Great atmosphere, excellent choice of food and beverages, on our visit we had a meal fro Shawrama it was lovely and plenty of it as well. We will definitely be returning soon.
We also walked around the food hall, which isn't as big as the old market which is a shame but what we saw was plenty of fresh meat, fruit and vegetables
I. G.
Great social hub to meet and greet friends and family as well as Great produce being sold.
S. O.
Nice atmosphere, good food
A. J. O.
Covid safe-ish. Check in required, but doesn't appear they force you to. They do have sanitizer available though.
Market wise, lots of good options. Fresh fruit, veg, fish and meat available. Glad to see.
Once restrictions fully lifted will be good to see this place bussling.
Edit: 2022-04-08
Covid is somewhat irrelevant these days.
Plenty of food choices, whether market or for a spot of breakfast, lunch or supper.
Enjoyed a pizza. Fresh, tasty and not the yoga mat you tend to get from a kebab shop takeaway.
Enjoyed a pint, too.
Bussling. What I like to see
A. F.
Great place to shop and eat . Stalls always full and cistomer service great
D. T.
Love this market. Butchers, deli, fishmongers, bakeries, stalls, food court, drinks. Brilliant. Come here to work for a morning sat at a table going back and for the coffee shop!
M. R.
I know it's personal preference, but going from a traditional market (mostly stalls/shops) to this new one (mostly food) is not something I enjoy visiting. There are already an abundance of eateries around and this just adds to the long list with no redeeming features to make it stand out. Just another generic new age 'market'. Chester market is a good example of getting the ratio between goods and food spot on.
R. S.
The food hall is absolutely fantastic loads of choice
L. A.
Busy, but wasn't a long wait for food or drinks. Good place for a group as you can just order whatever you want without having to sort the bill etc 😉
A. “. J.
The new market has brought life back into the town, great food, with a loads of choice, we opted for Mexican and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, it's nice to see that some stalls have remained, all be it in a new and airy food hall, it's a massive difference since I was a kid, I'm 66years young and the towns rejuvenation has kept up with the majority of city's surrounding it.
c. a.
Perfect! Fresh produce, quick bites to eat if u happen to go on ur lunch or sit in the sun before or after shopping and enjoy a beer. Parking is £1 and it’s got a great buzz about it at peak times. What more do u need when doing the weekly shop
M. B.
Amazing selection of food and drinks. Very clean and covid safe with dividers on all the tables and hand sanitizer available. The stall to the back sell items that would make some really good gifts. Really lovely staff and all round great atmosphere
J. A. W. A. W.
Great meeting place. Lots of good stalls. Not many gluten free. EXCEPTIONAL Thai food stall. Super helpful understanding gf staff. Pappya salad awesomeness
E. S.
Not the best market around. Mainly eating and drinking.
F. K.
Nice place. Lot of take aways in a very good bright covered area with an outside seating area. For Muslims Halal option is available at one take away. On a good sunny day, best place to relax.
N. R.
Really had a nice meal and browse around the market.
L. L. H. O.
I love Warrington Market Food court..There is so much choice of amazing delicious food & drink. It is is where I spend quality time with my son...I have only given 4 stars just because it can be hard to find a seat/table.But that just goes to show how good it is there...
A. L.
Staff friendly and the food was nice and freshly cook
C. H.
Still prefer the old market but the foods impressive
J. H.
Lovely place, just rammed all the time though
B. I.
Nice friendly atmosphere with ok food stalls
S. B.
Returned to the market for the first time after refurbishment. Feels airy and open, but the addition of the food court/bar really adds to the floor. The additional new stalls, like cheese and ice cream are a great addition. We will be supporting our local market a lot more, please do the same.
S. K.
First time we've been back since lockdown, very impressed with the market good variety of goods ,food and cafe area.
M. M.
Greatly improved market. I visited it for the first time today. Clean and well laid out stalls on two floors.
Food and drinks Inc alcoholic, available to eat in or take away.
I might call in for breakfast one day.
P. B.
Nice little trip today...great selection of food 👌🏻
R. B.
I go to the market every time I’m in town. Easy access to all stalls usually not too busy.
J. O.
Great atmosphere looks more like Manchester now.very modern
D. T.
Nice place, with some great lovely little places to eat
A. B.
Warrington market is ace. Great range of foods to try (which can be ordered from your seat via the app). Lots of other interesting stalls and shops under one place. Definitely worth checking out!
M. M.
Great idea however there were no tables available when we visited....... watch this space for when we return
E. O.
Good food places inside just food and eating places odd few other stalls
s. m.
Cracking little market with everything to offer a keen shopper like myself. From artisan bakers to cobblers who renovate your fave old trainers. And a lovely indoor eating area where you have a choice of food bars.
C. T.
Amazing food, we had Thai and it was just beautiful, had a lovely lady help us find a table as it was very busy and she worked her socks off all night, clearing and cleaning tables and came to us at the end of the night to ensure we had a good night and said she would love to see us again, Sue, or Doris as we nicknamed her, for employee of the month.
M. B.
Place is OK and that's it really, way more smaller choice of products than it was before, place is not cheap for sure but good quality of products.Way more caffe shops, thing is that this should be MARKET and turns out that is more like a RESTAURANT or TAKEAWAY
A. J.
Lovely indoor market with a wide variety of eating options
J. B.
Very nice good place with plenty of choice for a meal and coffee
R. B.
Great food court with good selection. Less shops than the previous market but there is a decent selection. The food court is my main reason to go.
L.
Didn't realise the food court shut at 7pm even though shops open till 8pm on Thursday placed order via the app only for the food stall holder to come and explain he had run out but he did give us another option. Food was OK but they were closing stuff up around us at 6.30pm. Doent make me want to go back even though it was handy for the cinema.
K. W.
Really enjoyed the day, well worth the visit.
R. B.
Not as good a range of stalls as there used to be. There seemed to be more peole sat down in the food hall than browsing around the actual stalls.
Food Hall is varied and was quite crowded, so we didn't feel safe & left.
Pleased to see a few of the old long established people though. Went home with some nice fresh fish and meat.
J. R.
Great variety of food retail and market stalls. Fishmongers and butchers both very helpful and with a wide offering.
L. W.
Not a lot of choice. Good to eat there and buy meat etc, but no clothes stalls.
F. P. M.
lively place. crowded but good place to hang out with family. good food choices and drinks as well. a range of food types to choose from. table service is available as well.
A. F.
Absolutely fantastic place to relax and enjoy some fantastic food
A. W.
General fine market closed, bank holiday mostly food outlets, quite a lot of different foods on offer good value. Toilets hidden away in a corner disable toilet on ground floor other toilets in the basement.
A.
Not a market, its a food court.
There's an abundance of hair dressers and barbers within a few feet of each other!
Need more clothes/cleaning/Homeware stalls.
Hardly any options for gluten free eaters
*IN REPLY TO RESPONSE BELOW*
I have spoken to the vendors. The only place that have any gluten free and actually understand it are cafe at the edge of the universe and a random coffee shop sells chocolate... Not exactly balanced food nor a proper meal for us customers.
Is it poor and needs to be more versatile. There is plant based, vegan, vegetarian options EVERYWHERE and they are a choice, NOT a medical requirement!
J. C.
The look of the new market is nice however it has lost the look of a market and feel of the traders being customer facing as they are separated. The food hall has a great selection and variety to choose from. I did however have a shock when I bought my favourite Thai green curry to be told it was £11. Previously it cost £5.50 and came with rice but now you have to buy it separately? The portion size was good but too big actually.if the price stays the same I won't be buying even though it is the best I have had. Shame.
P. G.
Fantastic with a great variety of world foods at good prices would highly recommend.
S. P.
Were lucky it was sunny so could sit outside. My first visit to the new expanded market and I wasnt disappointed. Great range of hot and cold foods, plenty of outdoor seating if weather permits, lovely relaxed atmosphere all round. Looking forward to the next visit
B. L.
Just wanted to give a special shoutout to Warren who cleans the market and does a great job on cleaning the toilets. Nice fella who made time for a quick chat.
J. S.
Only went in the Cookhouse after a delayed Christmas shopping treat for my granddaughter! Members of the group could choose from a variety of menus. Using the app was a little longwinded. Quicker service if you go to a stall in person!
A. W.
I am grateful to the stall owners for keeping going during the pandemic. Such a professional, warm, lovely bunch of people. Big thanks to staff at John Cross butchers and the lovely ladies at Yates & Greer for quality produce and service
G. L.
Great market
A. P.
Lovely, really appreciate this opening and having such variety of food vendors. Could do with more variety with retail outlets (duplicate butchers, fishmongers, veg shops, barbers) but I'm sure with time this will improve.
Can wholeheartedly recommend the Dark side of the Spoon for sweet treats!! Bao buns (can't remember vendors name, sorry) were Fantastic and a great price! Will certainly visit and bring family to visit as a point of pride for the North West!
a. c.
Wholesome Junkies, go check out the amazing vegan food. Can't wait to go back. 😋
D. V.
Lovely market nice and clean food nice good kebabs lovely pizas lovely staff very friendly always smiling I was very impressed how clean the toilets were lovely and clean smelling clean and fresh I would defently recommend to all My friends and family to visit the market
K. S.
Food from around the world. In one easy place. Quite possibly the only place in Warrington town to get a decent breakfast.
K. D.
*Edited review to reflect new permanent market*
It's a brilliant little place. Not as big or varied as Warrington's original market but there's a good variety of shops and cafes.
Let's get onto the good bit - the food court. What an absolute excellent idea. You can each order from where you want and sit together, no arguments. The app is easy to use or you can order in person. My favourite places to eat there are Cafe at the end of the Universe and Krua Thai, but all of the food venues are decent and the bars are good.
D. N.
Love the new market and the food hall is well worth a visit if yer hungry they cater for all cuisines.
M. L.
Small but great place for an afternoon out.
S. R.
Fab place gorgeous food and drink
A. S.
I was amazed at how much the market has changed it's even moved since the last time I went there, but it was so clean and fresh, I was very impressed
s. “. h. w.
Good fresh fish stall. Plenty of other stalls clothes, fresh veg etc to suit everyone's needs Nice bar area good choice of drinks and food sit in or out under normal circumstances
M. K.
Great food. A bit pricey but worth a visit
C.
Love this place, if you can't find something to eat here there's something wrong.
P. d. G.
Great family day out for Christmas
L. W.
I didn't know it had been transformed like this. It's absolutely amazing and busy. Which is nice to see at times like this when everywhere is quiet. Social distance measures in place. Some lovely little stalls. Looks great!
N. S.
Plenty on offer and good food and drink
E. P.
Food was plentiful for all tastes
S. T.
Great place to eat and drink
B. C.
Visited the market today great smells and festive feeling when we walked in a good variety of stalls love the place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
J. “.
Everything you could ever want in one place.
Great for supporting local business.
The food and drinks in the food court are always top notch with helpful and friendly people running it.
Clean, spacious and accessible by everybody
H. S.
Absolutely fantastic! I love being able to access such a diverse range of food and drinks. Also can't fault the covid precautions. It's incredibly professionally run
J.
Was great, went to the cafe at the end of the universe. Long wait though. Also went to a fruit shop thing, you could touch everything with didnt seem very covid safe. Lovely place to not busy at all. There was a coffee roastery with was amazing 100% reccomend
B. C.
This is definitely the place to go in Warrington if you are hungry, thirsty and/or need to do a bit of shopping! It has it all. It is a safe environment in which to eat and drink as the tables are all well spaced apart and cleaned as soon as you leave, ready for the next customer. There are two bars, one specialising in cocktails, prosecco and a choice of bottled/canned beer, the other sells wine, real ale and a large selection of gins and other spirits. Unfortunately, due to being elevated to tier three and because the bars do not sell food, they have had to close for the next month, or until the situation is reviewed. Lots of fab food to be had though from the surrounding stalls, so all not lost. The food market great to get your special bits and pieces from too. Would highly recommend a visit, although Saturdays are usually heaving, maybe not so much now the bars are closed.
S. B.
Lovely market with plenty of choice of foodstuffs. Great are to relax outside with food and drink.
G. G.
A lovely market feel with some nice eateries around. Table were cleaned down well.

one of the best places to eat and support smaller local buisnesses in warrington. love the new building and layout, has a really great feel to it, although covid guidlines seemed lax during reopening processes last summer due to no limits on number of people so was incredibly busy and unsafe. great visit non covid!
m. b.
It's nice. Stallholders are helpful + friendly. It's clean + well lit. The florist stall is great- the owners are lovely. It's not the same as the old market but it's better than I thought + although it's only temporary while the new permanant one is being built I think it's a good place to shop.
H. J.
Warrington'new market isn't the same as it used to be. There are some of the original stall holders like Morans who do keys, shoe repairs and are excellent value for money especially for their watch batteries. My daughter and I arrived at the market and went for a look around the cooked food area, various different stalls to suit all tastes. We tried the Thai food. Red Thai chicken curry with rice. Very tasty and reasonable. £17 for two, including a soft drink. Some of the tables even have plug sockets to charge your phone. Definitely worth a visit.
r. l.
Brilliant and vibrant and well priced. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the many many choices of food and drink available..
A. R.
Great venue, great shops and excellent food and drink, with lots of selection. Staff super friendly too - highly recommended 👍🏻
D. O.
Very good market but shame it's not as diverse as many markets, such as clothing or ethnic stalls. Always spotlessly clean
G. E.
Great improvements. Nice outdoor area. More options for food. Just the toilets are in the wrong place and you need zillion stairs to reach them
V. B.
Lovely quirky market, not too big but very well arranged and all the stalls of food look really fresh and local, really recommend 👍👍
D. L.
Its nice to visit here and have a good look Around
P. W.
Really impressed with the food ordering. Find a table use an app for the many options available and have it delivered to you. Awesome.
P. N.
Great market. In the day its a 'market' and in the evening one can order food and drink from many of the outlets.
I. t.
Good place to eat, great seating area and varied range of food. Also good food stalls etc
H.
Always love going here. Mostly for the butchers, but its nice to have lunch from one of the many vendors.
L. W.
Only small compared to the old market. But it's a lot nicer.
Food hall is a nice idea. Buy from the stalls, and go to food hall to find a seat. Self service seems to work well here. All tables were very clean. As some body was cleaning them. Food hall has Chinese. Indian. Pies. Sandwiches . All sorts of food at the best prices. Large jacket potatoes with lots of tuna. Cost me £2.
There is an upstairs. With record shop and other shops. But I did not have time to look this time. I will call back for lunch again. Only next time I will take some pictures.
P. S.
Warrington market food court is the place to be. Lots of food outlets, from Chinese, Indian to Burgers joints, which are reasonable price, and good quality.
C. R.
Nice place to visit if you're local to Warrington and want some nice food! Casa Mexicana is my personal favourite!
L. H.
Visited the market today and also had food from the Food Court, we had a steak taco from Eastern Point which is Korean influenced food and was one of the nicest things I have ever eaten. Had a glass of pimms from The Artisan bar which was so refreshing. We are making this our weekly Saturday afternoon outing. Well done warrington market it is a fabulous place to visit.
M. L.
Alway worth a visit if you're in the area.
j. p.
Lots to choose from to eat we all enjoyed our experience here covid protocol followed tables cleaned after each visit table service by using app
J. B.
1st visit, loved it, traditional stalls at the back, then fab seating areas inside and out for foodie vendors.Very we run.
P. H.
So much choice really good place to go and will have something for everyone
J. d.
Great place to taste world cuisine such Mexican. Moroccon, Italian, and others. Good value for money
H. R.
Excellent indoor market, variety of stalls with a great choice of items, many hand made. Fresh meat and game too. Good selection of food available with large seating area. Well worth a visit.
T. A.
Looking a bit sad and depressed these days. Used to be bustling and thriving. Hopefully more special events like the comic con will help
L.
Came here for the food court which is really good. Lots of choice from.burgers to Chinese to roast dinner. We had burgers and chips and they were very good. Bit prices throughout the whole place for a market but nice place to relax for a while.
K. F.
Being new to the area I checked out the market and thought it was very good, clean, modern and with a good selection of things to buy.
J. D. M.
If this is the temporary market, then I found it a bit scatty. Lovely cheese, fabric and key shop but the rest look tatty. Lovely idea with the food market. Whilst half of the group loved it, the other half weren't too keen. Hopefully the new market when it opens will be more organised.
L. W.
Fantastic market defo worth a visit for food. Great prices too.
J.
Great venue for shopping and eating
K. W.
Plenty of shops, nice and clean, not sure about the new market, looks like a food hall.

A. V.
Nice place to wander. Easy parking and nice eating places clise to main shopping as well.
W. A.
Warrington putting effort in to improve the town. Hopefully all the Xmas Stalls will be open soon and better weather to appreciate them.
R. H.
Love the market here may be small but plenty of variety from food, butchers and even a store for gaming buffs. Its currently being renovated so will be even better.
R. R.
They are very helpful and polite if you need any help they are there for you kind Regards Robert.
J. S.
Lovely lunch and great atmosphere 👌
H. H.
Genuinely something for everyone here. Food vendors, bars, fresh meat, fruit & veg Market stalls. Lots of other towns should follow suit and implement a shopping/dining experience just like this 👌
J.
Good service from the local shopkeepers witb lots of advice from invidividual stallholders if required.
Market being used is only a temporary home, as a new market is being built. However this temporary market is airy, light and clean.
Hopefully, this is the start of bringing back shoppers to the town.
L. C.
Great food, shame I have to drink from a plastic cup outside when you have paid for a decent pint
L. L.
First time I was able to visit the market properly since lockdown: it looks very light and modern, loads of choices when it comes to food and everything I tried was delicious.
T. F.
Good selection of beers at The hop emporium.
J. H.
Great vibe from local people and local sellers. Had a lovely Grilled Cheese from Blue Moon stall (I think it's called). Always excellent fish, fruit and meat. I look forward to visiting now regularly.
G. R.
The food hall is very good with lots of choice. I was disappointed with the selection and number of market stalls though. Great butchers (John Cross) and the cheese stall was good.
T. J.
Love this place. Being able to please everyone with choice of food and nice to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.
K. M.
Very loud music started at about 5.30pm which was a shame. Other than that, was a pleasant afternoon as always!
S. M.
Great little market. Good selection of stalls, including a couple of butchers and a fresh fish stall, plus a selection of food concessions. We loved the Thai place., and the real ale bar.Well worth a visit. Recommended
W. I.
Great food hall . Will be even better when the new market opens in April.
P. S.
Amazing market with a modern vibe. Like a small slice of Manchester located in Warrington. Great foodstalls and shops and a must visit if your in town
g. b.
Great place would recommend that everyone should shop there looked amazing loads of stalls with fantastic food and just everything that you can think of loved it Great experience.
F. M. j.
Loved it all the people r nice and friendly. But then flowers stall moonflower Blooms is the best one there she did a grate dog for me out of flowers, honestly I don't think anyone else can make such a thing more beautiful as she did. Definitely go check her out if u need anything really nice and friendly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
P. W.
Definitely worth a visit
A. W.
Love this place. Local traders, great fruit and veg selection. Fish and meat stalls are fantastic. The food court is also great and everyone can eat their cuisine of choice. Highly recommended.
X. C.
Love the veg stall and Cross the butchers!!
M. O.
Excellent food, lots of choice. Nice relaxed atmosphere
M. F.
Great atmosphere despite the horrible restrictions. Two Brothers for authentic special coffee with a smile and PJ's still the best and friendliest watch repairers on the planet😊
S. P.
Great place to shop for food, services and curios. There is a little something for everyone here. I especially look forward to the Chinese and takeaway stalls after a shopping stint. The meat and fish stalls are also varied and well stocked.
N. W.
Not the market it used to be but it is in a temporary home while the new market it's being built. Should be better once this is finished. Great eating place in it though at the back with lovely seating area to eat. Nicely priced too
O. A.
Nice place to visit, good variety of food available, plenty of space outside to maintain social distancing. Will go again for sure.
D. L.
Very nice to have a walk around and smell some of the wonderful food on offer, however! If you want to eat in there be prepared to wait upto 40 minutes during busy periods like Saturday afternoons.
M. J.
nice little compact market good for street food style and it has an excellent friendly bar real ales cider gin cocktails
M.
A brilliant local initiative which brings the local community together. Wherever possible I shop at the market as I get a service which can not be compared by shopping in a supermarket. All business owners really care about you the customer, give it a whirl. My personal favourite is Singh's Grill House.
G. P.
Love Warrington Market, can't wait for it to fully open again.
A. Y.
Traditional town market with wonderful artisan bakers, butchers and fishmonger, fresh produce with good old fashioned customer service.
k. h.
The new dining area at the cookhouse is great. Check out Korean bao buns or fish specials from jakblaks. Friday afternoon had a very talented lady playing next to the cocktail bar.
a. o.
Great to see a good old fashioned market where prices are excellent and goods of a good quality. nice little cafe too.
Brings back many happy memories of how Manchester markets were when i used to go with my parents years ago.
P. M.
Always love going here and never leave empty handed. Food Hall is amazing too
D. T.
Always have good customer service and the stall holders are friendly
V.
Not a bad indoor market but like many towns it has a few stalls vacant. But as I came out of the market I did see that a new indoor market was being built at the side. So hopefully that'll get traders back again and also prices for renting stalls from the councils has an effect. If they charge more than they are making is it worth it some may say. I love Warrington to come and shop as all the shops are in one place and easy access for the buses home.
D. H.
Great lunch, the Mumbai Delhi is awesome and very authentic. Really enjoyed the chat ..would have thought you could have got these in Warrington 😀
K. S.
Brilliant new shopping /eating place. Very spacious lots of variety of stalls well laid out nice clean toilets.
E. H.
Not been to Warrington for years. Really Nice the way the market is layed out, Clean. Carpark next to shopping centre.

D. D.
Good for food whatever takes your fancy. Not so much non food stalls any more though
J. B.
Great selection of food stalls - highly recommend cafe at the end of the universe and singletons
N. C.
Cheap & cheerful, food market is the saving grace however there is no artisan or other high end specialists. As for the other side of the market lots of empty stalls and what is there, again cheap & cheerful is some cases, tat in others
F. J.
Nice place. Just opened. Plenty of choice for food and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
S. H.
Visited the markers Market and it was fantastic, first time in Warrington for years and I was impressed with the changes made. It looks great.

L. M.
Go here for the butcher's where they have a good choice of local produce
M. N.
The sign outside says "The best indoor market in the country" - you would have to go in and look wouldn't you?
It might not be the best in the country but it certainly is up there. Clean and tidy, varied, friendly, it really is an excellent market.
a. c.
A must place, to visit. Great bargains to be had. Treat yourself to a tasty meal at Cafe At The End Of The Universe. I guarantee, you will not be disappointed.
A. H.
Great indoor Market with lots of new style cuisine to choose from in the Cookhouse foodhall ,upstairs there are a variety of shops they even have a comic shop very modern and clean as a whistle
R. M.
Great food and drink
I. B.
Certainly not what it used to be some years ago, but a new Market Hall is under construction, so that might revitalise things a bit. At present though, a sense of gloom and despondency seems to have settled over the place, as if it knows its days are numbered in the face of discount stores and supermarkets.
S. M. G.
New Market is amazing, great range of food and drink stores. Always a good atmosphere in here too!
M. D.
Really good market, lots of stalls and new clean building. Great.
P. B.

D. W.

V. “. H.
Great place lovely food
A. W.
We have a shop on Warrington Market called PJ's Jewellers, which is just one of about 40 independent small businesses, all under one roof.
You can buy everything from hoover bags to bacon barms, vintage toys, Fair Trade chocolate, fresh fruit n veg, bespoke birthday cakes, guitars, rare comics, beds, shoes, meat pies and much more on the market. It is a great alternative to mainstream High Street shops, or the interweb thingy.
Contrary to local rumours, the market isn't being demolished - well it is, but only so they can redevelop this part of town. New shops, restaurants and a cinema will all be built over the next four years. PJ's Jewellers is staying on the market - and looking ahead to a brighter future.
S. W.
Very well organised. Food was fantastic and a lovely large seating area
p. b.

The Temporary Market opened On September 2nd 2017, opening day was solid you could not move in there. However the closure of the car park at the side of the market to make room for the demolition of the old market takes place on November 6th. With the new multistory car park opening around the 20th November.
So if your travelling in by car, use cock edge or golden square until they announce the car park is open.
I've been told by the traders liaison officer, that when the multistory opens, that whilst ever they are trading from the temporary market. They have given up the rights to cheaper rent, so the council could provide free car parking for the 1st three hours for all their hopefully new customers.
Christmas market lights switch on is due to take place on November 30th with Santa arriving to check out his grotto, Late night shopping combined with some Free evening events is also in the pipeline, complete with Sunday opening throughout December
A. P.
