P. T.Fabulous selection of products - high quality always. The checkout person was so helpful and a joy to meet - so friendly I had to feedback about him to Sainsbury's management team. It is great to be able to mention him again - in a world that is so negative meeting someone who is so genuinely happy is so refreshing! Their food is great too!
M. D.Nicely laid out medium size store with good parking. The store is nicely laid out with clear signs marking where things are. The store stocks your usual groceries, plus a range of other items including magazines and newspapers, stationery, clothing, DVDs, ipod/laptop accessories (usb cables, USB sticks, card readers etc). It's always worth keeping an eye out for special offers and reductions. Now has an in-store Argos located at the back.
B. S.Like any other big Sainsburys store, good produce and variety, but the hotfood shelf is generally empty or with few items left. Considering it is in center of the prime area, they should keep more hot foods and chilled drinks.
A couple of times I have had price mismatch at checkout which was not a great experience.

The variety of goods on sale is obviously limited by the stores size.

T. S.I was in and out pretty fast so didn't have enough time to wander through the aisles. However, the place looks pretty standard and well stocked.
What I like is the proximity of the store to the high street. During my stay at Watford it was convenient to get my groceries alongside shopping for clothing etc
k. M.Just recently become a member and am enjoying very much! Great community spirit and good prices at the bar. Music was good and just had a lovely atmosphere.

A. H.Dear God this store does my head in..... note to the security staff.... please dont racially profile and follow people round the half empty store. It's really annoying and when it's a hot day and you're just wearing shorts and a tshirt there's nowhere to hide anything! Seriously not good. Same thing happened to me on New Year's Day when I was supervised in the aisle that has the saucepans .... when I walked towards him he disappeared and then came back at the other end of the aisle. I just laughed and shook my head.
2 years later its improved! Thank God!

T. F.It's an ok store but the service at the till was terrible the cashier never spoke not even to tell the price, just threw the shopping down and very slow. Also not enough tills open at a very busy time of day and the cigarette counter only had one person serving and the cue went down the first isle. If it wasn't for the till experience the store would of scored more but a rude person on the first till and then a 15/20 Min wait to get cigarettes is not good especially when you are on a parking timer

J. F.The staff are very helpful when it comes to finding items and assisting; I recieved a free face mask as I did not have one on me. The shelves and the supermarket in general is very well stocked; although I find some item's to be miss advertised or not as appertising as anticipated. Lots of fresh ingredients being sold throughout; perfect for home cooking. The fruit and vegtable section could be improved as not all of the produce is fresh and fitt for purpose ie: onions. The pricing seems to be fair on most items competing with rival companies isn't easy and lots of item's are or seem to be price-matched. Slight improvements could only be made twoards the quality of certain products. 90 percent of what's avalible for sale seem's very good. Self service is quick; cleanliness is perfect.
J. P.Didnt catch his name but guy who was working the pizza section on 21st jan at like 2:00pm was amazing! Perfect customer service and definitely went above and beyond for us! Even though we didnt mind waiting, he did not hesitate to do it asap even tho it was before time! Hope he is rewarded somehow
j. z.The parking can be a bit difficult outside the entrance as the bays are quite small, the underground car park is easier to park, it has toilets, the shop is a little dated & smaller today than many of the newer sainsburys but pretty has much of what you might need. There is also an Argos located at the back of the store. 🥕🥓🍰💐
b. s.Be careful as you enter, I tripped whilst putting on my mask, the aeea by the entrance is slightly raised and the white lines around the raised are are worn away. Ribs still hurt 😢

L.one thing is for sure I wouldn't use the toilets in this supermarket! staff are nice enough, although there always seem to be queues. staff also block the aisles and gossip while working. reasonably priced if you're getting a few bits. i would steer clear of their meat products too, never looks fresh and goes off quickly.

Parking can be annoying. The layout at ground level doesn't work. You find vacant spaces and follow the one way along side the store then to come back up to find spaces are then taken. Please improve this Sainsburys

D. N.It's a Sainsbury and it's a good one! Staff have always been friendly and helpful for the years I've been coming - it's big too so if you think there's a chance they have what you want go check 'em out!
P. H.It is not as large as some of the stores in the area which suits me as l can find things easier and a fellow called Simon works there and is always helpful if you cannot find anything. The checkouts are quit quick and there is quit a large basement car park and it is quit close to the town centre.

Plenty of (free) parking. Easy access in and out of the store. Fresh cruit and veg, bakery, pizza, deli, fresh fish counters all good.
Range of some goods somewhat limited. Often fairly long queues at the checkouts, and there are only a few self service checkouts.
Staff helpful and efficient.
c. c. l.When shopping for the elderly I get a bit cross when Sainsbury's stop selling small packets , small boxes, tins or jars of products trying to force buying in larger quantities, many older people can't hold large containers, they need easy opening containers that are manageable. They won't purchase larger containers they would rather go without which is terribly sad, many of my ladies say " I refuse to let Sainsbury's tell me what I can buy" it isn't just Sainsbury's, others do the same.
P. M.This store is the perfect size. Not so small that you can't get everything on your shopping list, but not so big that it takes days to walk round every aisle. Decent range of food, and a small non-food section to save you having to go into town for other bits and pieces. Could probably do with a refit at some point, but that's just me being picky.

S. R.This was a good store. I got what I was looking for. Parking was easy as well, the self checkout worked a treat. This particular store however does not have scan as you shop.
The four stars are because they have stopped making cocoa breakfast biscuit because traces of sesame seeds were found (they should have fixed the problem instead!) and also because their prices are towards higher side (store brand Lemonade for 70p while the equivalent in other supermarkets is 50p. Otherwise Iike the quality of Sainsbury's own bakery and other products better, which probably is the cause of the higher price!

K. B.I've been a few times now to this Sainsburys, and surprisingly, I've never had to queue to get in, unlike other shops I've tried. They have introduced the Smart Shop app, which makes the whole shopping experience less stressful, as you can scan and pack as you go. Once you've finished you just head to the till and scan the QR code. Shelves are well stocked, and on the whole, most people keep a safe distance.

V. V.Reasonably big store in city centre. Good parking space. Great choice of food. Fresh to frozen, vegetables to meet, drinks to snacks. Recently bought toys when they ran an offer on toys. Few items are a bit pricy, compare prices before. Fresh pizza section is my favourite.
A. W.Not the biggest store despite very close proximity to Watford town centre. They stock all the items you'll need though and parking for my visit was easy and straightforward.

You only touch to close & open the toilet door. Flushing is auto. Soap is dispensed automatically so is the water. You leave with nothing but very clean hands on your way out.

M. D.This is my local sainsburys. I go here very regularly usually on foot or by bike. Does everything a normal sainsburys does. I've been going here so long that I know where everything is so well. So much so that I quite often help lost looking people find whatever they are looking for.

D.Sainsbury's is what it is but do like to hike prices by a fraction on a monthly basis it is so slight Joe average may not notice but I do and you will sometimes find the same product priced differently in store of course in different locations but all the same it's exactly the same product. But priced differently of to their advantage..

j. a.All the other major supermarkets have queues for both disabled and NHS staff but there is only 1 queue for the sainsburys. Whether you are disabled or NHS staff you have to queue up in the same 1 queue. Parking as a disabled person is not ideal when reversing into a disabled space you will find the general public will carry on walking behind your car even if they see you reversing. I only went to this store as my main Argos store is closed and you can only collect from sainsburys.

This Sainsbury's is small and has a limited range. Generally, the staff are very helpful. If that makes up for being expensive!
C. C.I Love Sainsburys Watford. The team that work there (most of them)are really helpful . It's close to me+ I love the taste of there own products. Especially there own brand natural yogurt +Greek yogurt. It's just Devine. Plus many more of there own brand products are excellent!

L.This isn't a huge shop, I am used to shop at hypermarkets and this is a supermarket, but easily can find a replacements for original products I wanted to buy, not the biggest selection of produce but have the basics, same situation with other departments, still a very good place for shopping.
