Maria is professional and very kind but most importantly, she is honest. If your alteration wouldn’t suit you, she will advise you politely. If your alteration cannot be done or will cost you significantly, she will let you know all the facts.
I asked Maria to alter a sleeveless, high neckline Phase Eight dress into a dress with small kimono sleeves and a V-neck. The material was covered in thickly embroidered sequins, making it difficult to work with.
Less than two weeks later, Maria had made me the dress of my dreams! It fitted perfectly and moved around elegantly.
What was more impressive was the hem and thread work on the new neck and shoulder line, which perfectly mirrored the original manufacturers design on the back of the dress.
Additionally, Maria’s premise is elegant and beautifully maintained - a true representation of her!

Each hem has 7 rows of stitching and some hems are reinforced so not a simple task. She did an excellent job and you would never know they had been altered. The lady who runs the shop is very friendly and I will definitely go to her from now on.
