Excellent tailoring service! All the items we had altered were done very well. They even noticed other holes in my jacket that I hadn't seen and fixed them on the spot for me. The staff are very kind and they put you at ease during measuring and ordering. I really appreciated this as I hadn't had anything tailored before and was a little apprehensive. We will definitely come back again for any alterations.

I can't thank all of the incredible ladies at Thistle Alterations enough for all the hard work they put into my wedding dress. They went above and beyond to give me everything I hoped for in my dress. They are all so kind and made every dress fitting enjoyable. There are no seamstresses that will make a better job of you clothing. A special thanks to Emma as well for paying such close attention to me as a person that she sourced a new piece for my dress that I loved so much more than the original bolero I had intended to add. All of my alterations had to be squeezed into 3 weeks due to the COVID-19 restrictions and they did an amazing job of getting everything done in time for my wedding without it feeling stressful. Have had two dresses altered now and honestly couldn’t be happier. They make you feel so special, dresses fit perfectly and consultation is just above and beyond. Recommend!!

This place is amazing for all alteration work you might need, and the team is super nice and helpful! My trench coat belt was lost and it was such a headache to replace it as it was 10 years old, but everyone at Thistle Alterations was so kind and full of ideas for me to make a new one! I found similar fabric and a buckle and brought it to them and they were able to re-create the belt absolutely perfectly!! The belt is exactly similar to my old one and such a great quality work for a great price! Thank you so much for helping me! I have also done some other alterations work for trousers and dry cleaning with them and its always great work! Fully recommend!

Great service and totally recommend, staff are so lovely. X I am updating this review to 26th July 2021 when I messaged through Facebook to see if they would do a quick turnaround on a take up hem job on dresses that arrived late and I wanted to take on holiday today with me. They were quite happy to do that and did the job the same day I took dresses in and I collected the next day. As always the staff are so lovely, friendly and polite and do an excellent job. This is my place to go for any alterations job I might need. The owner is really friendly and welcoming; she nearly treats you as family! The results of any job are very professional and hardly noticeable. The only issue I have had over the years is that they misplaced or lost an accessory/detail from my wedding dress train and seemed to know nothing about it when I asked. Despite this, I would still continue going here and recommending it to others, as it is a great alterations shop and I'm always impressed and satisfied with the results.

Lovely shop and great customer service but cameout feeling quite disappointed though when I paid £30 for a jacket to be altered and it was still too loose. But the owner explained that the material was not stretchy so she couldn't make it a snug fit. I wish she had told me earlier.

Popped in to have a button fell off my suit. Service was impeccable, turnaround within 30 minutes, reasonable price! Will be going back for any repairs and alterations.
