Went to a brilliant workshop with Amy on mending and alterations in September. It was so informative and she made everything feel really achievable and easy, she is very encouraging and positive. I went in feeling like my sewing skills were really minimal and came away with loads more confidence and feeling like I had all I needed to get on and make alterations to clothes. We did things like taking up trousers, taking in a skirt and sewing in a zip, all really useful and practical and skills I will definitely use. Thank you so much Amy! Highly recommended.

I took my wedding dress to Amy to be taken in and have the hem raised, and from start to finish the whole experience was wonderful! Amy explained in detail how she would adjust the dress, and even though parts of it were tricky to work with and very fragile, she did a beautiful, seamless job. My dress now fits me like a glove and I couldn't be happier - a huge load has been taken off my mind thanks to Amy! I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs their wedding or bridesmaid dress adjusted, and I also intend to use her services again for other clothes that I would like to have tailored to fit me better.

Amy was able to repair a tear in my mattress which occurred whilst it was being professionally cleaned. She was quick to respond (even whilst on holiday) and was able to do a home visit. I attended a beginners ‘How to Sew’ course , it was 6 weeeks from how to thread a needle to making cushion covers, door stops and pencil cases. Basics of making patterns and using the machine. I loved how Amy made me feel confident and less afraid of both the sewing machine and ‘going wrong’. We all had quite giggly moments and really let rip with differing styles and experience, all wonderfully managed by Amy. Would recommend to literally anyone, had a lot of fun and am still sewing, still quite badly but better. If you have a fun experience , when you’re a beginner it’s much easier to persevere .

Amy repaired/rebuilt both pockets for me on a pair of jeans that had completely worn through. The pockets look amazing and will add months of life to the jeans which would have needed chucking out. Amy is a whizz with alterations and tailoring. She runs a super professional service and offers competitive prices. She has helped me with several alterations, all of which I was delighted with. She also made me an outfit which I designed. I was impressed with how well she was able to realise my vision for the outfit. Would definitely recommend.

I got some custom trousers for my son and they were incredible. My son is tricky to buy for as he is tall for his age, and Amy made some made to measure, affordable, and high quality trousers for him.
