Had a dress that needed altered for a wedding I was attending as a guest. With lots of sequins and an intricate design, the tailor did a fantastic job of ensuring a proper fit and offered excellent consultation right at the beginning. It was a complex job but completed well within the expected time, less than a week as it wasn't just simply altering the length, it was cinched at the waist, bust, shoulders and more, it also had to maintain the design and vision of the dress. All round, great service, attention to detail and timely. Cost was slightly expensive but given the complexity of what was required, it made complete sense.

Very professional from start to finish. The dress looks fits and looks great. Awesome communication from start to finish - made sure to know exactly what I was looking for before starting the alteration process. Would definitely recommend. Price wise, it costed £95 to take the sides in, alter the strap and shorten the dress.

I had a bridesmaid dress which was in need of a lot of alteration (taken in a few sizes, hem altered, adjustments to neckline). Atiq talked me through the whole process, explaining what he would do. He did such a quick, thorough and great job even involving some hand stitching. This is a good value service and I would not hesitate in coming back here.

Very professional tailoring and dry cleaning service. It was a pleasure having two pairs of my trousers altered here, and three turtleneck jumpers dry cleaned. Trousers were taken in from both sides to maintain the original structure. The jumpers didn’t just came out fresh and clean, the pilling on the fabric was also treated, which brought back the soft and smooth texture of the cashmere. Very professional work and great communication overall, with a high level of attention to details.

Absolutely brilliant all round service! I had a bridesmaid dress which needed several alterations made, and quickly. The service was fantastic, I tried on the dress and discussed exactly how I wanted it to look. The dress was ready to collect in just a few hours. The quality of the work is really brilliant, it doesn't look like it's been altered in the slightest. I felt really comfortable and happy discusing what I needed done. We have used this business twice now for dress making. My daughter had shop bought dresses that she wanted copied with our own material. The tailor reproduced them both perfectly. He is obviously very experienced and listens to what the client wants. Prices reasonable too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Brought in some chinos that were too long, and needed to be altered. The tailer not only shortened them as required, but tapered the trousers for the perfect fit. Not only was the work impecable, but the work was completed on the same day! Can recommend AR for alterations without any hesitation.

I am international student here i have no idea about the best dry alterations one of my friend recommended me this one shop i was scared because the suit which i have to make perfect on my body was quite expensive but when i give it to shop man he do the work as perfect as i wasn’t expecting from him. He was to much friendly and i was expecting that he would take 1 week for this work but he only took two working days because of my urgent demand of it in a university as i was having presentation and the price he told me I wasn’t expecting that much low. And I would like to come again and again. I would like to recommend the people to try it once

Really great service - I brought three items of clothing in, two of which were leather and difficult fixes, and all three were altered perfectly. In particular, I brought in a leather skirt which I had pretty much given up on having altered, and Atiq found a really brilliant solution to adjust it in order to fit me. Brilliant work, for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this shop.

I came in to have a dressed sized down and some patched sewed on to a backpack. The service was extremely quick and high quality. They are quite considerate with pricing as well. It is not an easy time to start a new business, in general, but on Leith in particular. So, it is always nice to see new places opening. I watched "AR Alterations and Dry cleaning" being refurbished and then opened and decided to give my support. I brought my nana's dresses for alterations. I did not have much hope, because all items were wrong size and completely out of my shape, but it had a sentimental value and I gave it a try. Atiq took a great care and did an excellent job. For amount of work, which needed to be done, surprisingly all work was completed at a very short time. As if by magic, all tree dresses become a perfect fit. Atiq is a true Pro! He provided a high quality of work at a very good value. I will certainly come come back and recommend his services.
