I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alan's services to anyone - super helpful, knowledgeable, and reassuring despite some hurdles (Covid-related supply chain issues) along the way! Not to mention he has the patience of a saint - which was required with me! Despite only being able to have my third choice material for my kilt, if I had the option of going back again, I'd probably choose the same!

Found Hunter Kingsley after a bit of research online looking for a bespoke tailor for my wedding. Contacted Alan, and organised an appointment to discuss options. Throughout the process I have found Alan to be knowledgeable and understanding, making suggestions and pointing me in the right direction when I am unsure. There's alot of variables that go into making a suit that the average Joe such as myself don't appreciate, but having someone with the know how to guide me through it was invaluable. The suit turned out great! Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a personalised bespoke suit service

I met with Alan at Hunter Kingsley in the early stages of planning our wedding to discuss some tailoring options for the big day. As soon as we sat down and went over some ideas I had I knew I was in the right place. Alan was very professional in his approach and was totally on board with the look I was thinking of. I opted for tartan trews, waistocat and jacket that would suit our autumnal themed wedding. Alan was able to help me select different materials and patterns that really worked great together. I was kept up to date with the process throughout after being measured up in Hunter Kingsley. I then revisited Alan for some final measuring before the final try on a few weeks before the wedding. Everything fitted perfectly. Alan has a real eye for the detail and I can't thank him enough for helping me look and feel great on the day. I would highly recommend!

Having looked around trying to find a tailor that would make suits for both my wife and I for our wedding we found it really difficult to find somewhere that could tailor suits for females. Everywhere seemed so far away until we came across Hunter Kingsley Tailoring. We met with Alan who was so professional from start to finish. He really knew what he was talking about and put us both as ease giving us confidence that he would be able to produce bespoke tailor made suits for us. Alan took the time to sit with us on multiple occasions and went through everything in so much detail from the fabrics, buttons, stitching and even shirts! We cannot thank Alan enough for everything he has done. Both our suits looked fantastic on our wedding day, we received many compliments and we felt amazing in them!

He's enthusiastic about what he does and very helpful. I had no idea there were so many little details to be decided upon when having a suit made, so needed a lot of guidance along the way which he was happy to give. Fast forward a few months and I now have the perfect suit for my wedding, exactly what I imagined at the start of the process. Nice touch on the aftersales front too with free alterations in future should they be required. Would highly recommend and I'd certainly use again in future!

I was looking for a suit for my wedding. I did the usual, slaters, moss bros etc... nothing was really cutting it. My then Fiancee found Hunter Kingsley on instagram, so we decided to take the trip to Ayr and have a consultation. After talking to Alan for 10 minutes i had decided i was getting my suit from him. He was clear with the ideas he had and offered several different options with what we could do with the suit. I went for a charcoal trouser and waistcoat, with a black jacket + satin lapel. It sounded great the way Alan explained how each item would compliment the other, and looked even better. I had my shirt and bow tie made also, the quality of which i would struggle to find anywhere else. It is easily the best suit I have ever worn in my life, and I will definitely be back to get another one. Although this was my wedding suit, the highlight for me was something much smaller. I was given my late grandfathers wedding tie, it was rugged and tattered. Alan made it into a rose boutonnière (pictured). The first time seeing it was a very emotional moment, and something that I will never forget. Thank you Alan.
