Katya kindly squeezed me in with short notice to help alter my wedding dress after my wedding had been postponed a couple of times. She altered the length and darts plus added an extra button and hook & eye to make the dress feel extra secure. All done on time and really happy with the final results, thank you!

I was given a sewing machine as a gift but was totally stuck on where to start with using it, so I signed up on a whim for a month of beginner’s classes. Katya is a wonderful teacher and the class provides a great atmosphere to learn with a few others but few enough that you can always get 1:1 attention when you need it. Once I’d finished the first one, I immediately signed up for the intermediate class which I’m enjoying even more. I’d thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to get started ❤️

Signed up for the stretchy dress and enjoyed myself so much I went on to do the trousers then the channel jacket, which all came out great. Learning from Kataya is wonderful, she is so patient, but firm and really explains the whys and whatnots. This experience has inspired me and given me confidence, and you get to meet some lovely people and have a laugh too. Also had Sophie teach one lesson to cover for Kataya, who was also lovely and a good teacher. I love that the classes are small as it seems more one to one and we all learn at the same pace.

Had a workshop offered by my friend for my birthday to make a cushion cover. I learnt a lot and went home with a beautiful cover made by myself. Sew Pretty is a small, friendly and independently owned workshop set in a relaxed garden studio in Wimbledon, South West London. We offer sewing classes and courses which are informal and affordable. Our aim is to provide an enjoyable experience with plenty of one to one support to help build confidence and skill. We also offer sewing and craft parties for both adults and kids.
