While the alterations were great. The irregularities of the opening hours and forgetfulness of the staff may make me pause before I use them again. This is the the second time I've used them the first was perfect and easy. This time... I had to make 5 trips to get one item altered between two trips to find them open and then 3 to actually pick up the item as it was not ready when promised, then the store wasn't open as scheduled. I paid for the alteration when I dropped it off. Then the store staff tried to charge me a second time when I picked it up.

Dropped off a few items to have name tags sewn in. (I provided a roll of ribbon with name printed on a 2" repeat.) Fair price, kind and smiling staff, and though it was a small job I could tell that it was done with care and attention to detail. Tags were sewn on squarely/aligned correctly, each tag cut off the roll in the exact perfect location so that after being folded and sewn in the name showed on the outside of the fold, seams straight and no hanging threads, nothing visible at all on the outside of the garment. Ready in a reasonable time and when promised (2 days).

Whenever Ive used them they've been keen, positive and delivered quality work whether a small repair or a suit trouser hem. Went last week but they couldn't do the repair I needed (not got the right machine) but recommended where nearby I could. Definitely use them, I continue to.

I called last minute as I had a wedding to go to and needed trousers taking up. The tailor was absolutely spot on and nothing was too much trouble. I would 100% recommend the place and also should I be in York again and need anything altered, I would definitely come back. Very reasonably priced too!

I took in 4 dresses that needed various fixing, alterations and shortening. They did an excellent job. One dress I had put my heel through and it looked like new. A zip was replaced and looks like new, and two dresses had the straps fixing in place. Highly recommended, quick and all well done.

Had an emergency after my wedding order was messed up by a different company and nothing fit. Gino did a fantastic job on tailoring my suit for me, and he managed to save me by turning iy round by the end of the next day. Thank you so much for all your help!

Gino did a great job on my jumpsuit, the stitching was very strong and holds very well! He also got the job done really quickly even offering a 1 hour service and was really friendly. I will definitely go back for any future tailoring or dry cleaning needed.

Gino is the man! Professional service, top quality and quick turn around times. I'm converting a work van into a camper van and needed some fabric stitching into a hammock style bunk bed. I have now used Gino on two ocassions for multiple items, including 2 suits which i'd bought 'off the peg' from both Reiss and Hackett which Gino tailored to absolute perfection with alterations including 'taking in' and shortening arms and body to both jackets and also tapering and shortening to the trousers (you've probably guessed I'm a short / wide guy!).In addition the above i've also had more basic works such as alterations to trousers and repair work to an expensive jacket. I have now moved back to Leeds, however I have to say i've been so impressed with his work I will definately be making the 30 mile trip back to York with purchases going forward, as in my opinion a good Tailor is very hard to find! Keep up the good work!
