Absolutely love my piercings! I definitely recommend these guys! Got my rook replaced by them as I was unsure on how to do it myself and the piercer was amazing at it. Not everyone offers this service, but I’m so glad I stopped by here! The original place where I got my rook done (Oasis) said they feel uncomfortable touching my piercing even after it healed. So glad I came into blue bananas as they did the job for me! I got my two helix done as well! I love how the piercer put me at ease and reassured me. I will be coming back here all the time now. Wish I knew about them sooner! Definitely gained a customer. What I absolutely loved is the after care given to me. The little cute bag, the salts, tea tree oil and a leaflet! I was so amazed because in other places you don’t even get that!!! Thank you once again Blue bananas!

My 8 year old finally got her ears pierced. We have had no problems with the piercing - unlike the gun piercing I had with my other daughter. Would recommend a needle piercing over a gun anytime. Service from all staff members was excellent. Environment was clean. Advised that it is a walk in service, and to get there half hour before closing as it can sometimes get busy, as it was when we attended.

Came to have my nose pierced here last week. Everything seemed very sterile and safe and I have had no problems so far but the staff were very unfriendly. The piercer seemed to want to get me and my friend in and out as quickly as possible. As soon as we were pierced, they immediately started reeling off aftercare and said we could go while I was still processing what had just happened.

Had a (second ear lobe) piercing here yesterday, and had what could have been a problem for me turned into a great experience! My initial piercing was quick, hygienic and well priced with a minimal wait time. One of my piercings was a bit higher than I would have liked, I went back on the same day which I was a bit nervous about and the team quickly eased any anxieties I had and addressed my issue. I was offered a repiercing and was assured that it wasn’t a problem to do and that it would heal as normal. The piercer I had in both instances (Adam) was kind, understanding and took his time. The actual repiercing was fine, no real discomfort or pronounced/ unusual swelling. Really appreciated the professionalism and standard of service, I wasn’t made to feel like a problem and the team were cooperative and understanding. My piercing looks beautiful and is healing well, special thanks to Adam and the girls in store!

Really friendly staff, super sterile environment too. The staff working today between 3-5pm were absolutely amazing with me and my friend who also got pierced. Adam, my piercer, was an absolute godsend for me as well as his coworkers and the manager (didn’t catch any names). Unfortunately I do not cope well at all with needles, but the staff all went above and beyond for me, checking up on me and giving me cups of water etc and ensured that I was okay before leaving :) I am so appreciative and grateful for all of your help today from everyone working there! I'm just visiting and somehow lost one of my cartilage earnings so I stopped by to get a replacement. Really nice staff upstairs helped me and the wait to get the earring replace by a piercer wasn't long. I'm terrible with names but the piercer was really nice and even though I'm a wuss and my piercing had closed a little she was gentle and talked me though the short lived pain. I would highly recommend checking out Blue Banana anytime you are in Birmingham.

I've had 2 piercings here and each time they have been lovely, welcoming and very professional. Also, very complimentary, which always makes me feel so good and confident when I leave! After developing some swelling and lumps on my most recent piercing I went back and was greeted by the best care. I had a free consultation where my piercing was examined, it was discussed and the treatment agreed upon and emailed over to me instantly! I paid £35 for my piercing as I wanted a black bar, but it's totally worth it as the after care is amazing and you get post care treatments (salt and tea tree oil) provided. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for piercings now as I've never experienced such amazing after care. And they also always make me feel fabulous so, what more could a girl want!?

I had a nostril piercing done professionally and with great care, the staff are so friendly and nice. I suffered from a RAS after the piercing and they helped me come around and let me stay aslong as needed to recover! Definitely recommend as they're lovely and genuine people!

The staff are very nice here but pricing can be questionable (£10 for a consultation). I understand that COVID has meant prices need to go up but it shouldn’t come at the cost of keeping piercings healthy. I have also received some comments from friends that my piercings aren’t straight. They do sell great alternative clothes and accessories. Overall, it’s a good shop just make sure you’re happy with what you’re spending on a piercing and check ups.

Had my nose and 2nd lobe done here, booked an appointment easily and the piercing was done with a needle which is MUCH safer and the jewellery put in (cork for nose and bar for lobes) means it’s less painful (bars don’t get caught in my hair and cork won’t fall out my nose like friend’s nose piercings have). Cleaning kit and guidance is helpful too, piercers are encouraging and get the job done :)

My eldest daughter had been wanting to have a piercing on the rim of her one ear for quite a while. We went in and explained she had had CBT therapy for needle phobia, the girl said don't worry. This put my daughter at very much ease. We couldn't believe how quickly the piercing was done. She didn't even flinch, and couldn't believe that a needle had been used. Now she can't wait to go back and have her ear lobes pierced for a 2nd time. If she recommends blue banana then, that is the highest recommendation needed in my opinion. Got pierced here today, staff were lovely and very easy to talk to. I was nervous for my piercing but the woman who did it (I didn't get her name) walked me through it and was super professional and friendly, the studio was clean and private, they let my partner in to hold my hand. It was actually a really fun visit, I got both my lobes pierced but I came a few pence short, I headed out without checking my wallet so it was funny counting up penny's. Then later down stairs I heard a terrifying scream from someone who got their nipple done, when I was getting served, the lady the provided the pieces and kit had given an odd pair, she wasn't sure of offering service over 41p but the staff was, though I offered to swing by to pay the full price the following day in trade of my ID card. Anyway it was great overall, they provided me with a useful Email to avoid infections with the included products of tea tree oil and sea salt water paid for in the £30 for both lobes.

I've had the majority of my piercings done at this store and I haven't really had any problems. The petite lady, with the colourful hair that usually pierces on a Sunday, is great. So informative and makes sure you're ok and relaxed. Adam is also the same, very informative and professional. Personally this is the only place that I go to get piercings done and I've had about 4 done in the last couple of years along with a few jewellery changes. My only gripe is that I wish there was a wider choice of jewellery.

I recently visited here to have my daughters ears pierced. I found all of the staff to be very friendly and helpful, especially Sam who pierced my daughters ears. She was patient and kind and as well as being a great body piercer (she has done all of my sisters piercings) and being a mother herself, she is great with children. I would highly recommend Birmingham Blue Banana to anyone thinking of having a piercing. I would also like to add that her trainee was also really nice. The staff here make you feel comfortable and in no-rush to get anything done. They explain the procedures well and welcome any questions. Clean and quickly done. Had both of my lobes done today and everyone that I spoke to was absolutely lovely and lots of fun to talk to. Even though I only came for the piercings I also like the nerdy stuff they have in store. There are some pretty epic ear cuffs there that I have my eye on too xD The girl that did the piercing was really friendly and I was offered the needle or the gun to get the piercing done with. Love the clothes in here! So funky and alternative. My daughter had her ears pierced here, she had them done at claire's accessories first and they got really badly infected so when they healed a year later she came to blue banana and had them done again and hasn't had any trouble with them! Same happened to my other daughter so I highly recommend this place for ear piercing! They have a tattooist as well (not for kids 😂)

This is the most amazing store to visit. I travelled 70 miles to get here and I honestly say that it was worth it. My daughter wanted a pair of new rocks and the lady that served us was extremely knowledgeable with regards to them. The whole of the store feels warm and inviting. The sort of place you can walk into have a laugh and a joke just being yourself while browsing the store in a relaxed way with no pressure to buy. The choice of clothes is well stocked and the only problem I see is not being able to choose which outfit to buy lol. So I would 100% recomend this place.

Blue bannana is like a little clothing shop but when you enter the shop, it is actually bigger than it looks. They do piercing and tattoos in there. The staff are lovely and the reception they will give you when you enter is really nice. I had my percing done there. The person who did it was calm and collected, she spoke to me nicely and after the pierce she gave me some package which contains the after care and summarised it to me as well. Would definitely go back again.

Last time I went me and my mom both had our ear cartilage pierced and with the buy one get one half price offer and she had a five pound voucher the deal was great. Entered the shop to book two consecutive ear piercing appointments for my two friends. Staff were friendly and approachable and the music was just the right volume. We were told there was a 40 minute wait time which was as expected and average, so we came back after 35 minutes. However there appeared to be a rather large queue for piercings with about 6 or so people in front of us and I believe we were waiting about 20 minutes after the initial piercing time, however this wasn't such a hardship as there was good music and chairs for us to sit on. After my friends came out the staff were very attentive and caring, even asking if they could help my friend who was feeling a bit faint, but we left all fine. The price was modest and the shop floor looked diverse and interesting. Would recommend to those who want an easy on the go piercing due to the lack of reservation needed, and would say that even though it's a chain store, it performs just as well as a personal studio.

Went there some months back for a navel piercing, the lady at the till was very nice and put me at ease. The piercer was also very nice and did not make me feel uncomfortable. However, I do not think she pierced it correctly as the next day I had a massive bruise all around the piercing and even though it was months ago, the piercing still has scarring around it - which definetly does not look very appealing. It doesnt seem to be healing even though I have followed the aftercare. On the second occasion I went there, staff didn't seem very professional or interested to help. So I don't think I will be going there again as based on my own experience and reading some of the other reviews, they need to fix up on piercing and customer service. Oh and the prices are pretty ridiculous. Charging me for a small bottle of tea tree oil and a pack of salt, on top of the piercing price. Was not impressed.

I've been going here for years on and off (when it was in the Pallisades) which was great. My recent visit was for a tragus piercing with a friend. The service as the till was good and using the tablets was easy to do When we went downstairs to get pierced a cool Irish lady chatted about where we worked and her being a make up artist. The products are really cool and (generally) seem to be reasonably priced and of high quality. They stock well known and reputable brands such as Converse, Pamela Mann and Dr Martens as well as some brands which are perhaps less well known. However, the member of staff who served me, a purple-haired woman dressed as a cat, was exceptionally rude, to the point where I wondered whether she actually wanted anybody to buy anything. The loud music in the shop and the large queue at the till made it hard for customers to hear when they were being called to the till. In this instance, it is, of course, acceptable for the cashier to raise their voice. It is not, however, necessary for them to do this in an aggressive manner, whilst angrily firing off comments such as, "no, maybe they don't WANT to be served...ANYBODY!!!'. She did this to all of the customers in front of me, and made me hope that I wouldn't have to go to her till. This is completely unacceptable; as somebody with retail experience, as well as customer experience, I would never expect a person with such a mean and aggressive disposition to get a job in a shop, The experience overshadowed the otherwise good feeling in the shop.

The people at the store were lovely and one had a knowledge of how Daith applies to migraines which was very reassuring...Karis, who pierced my ear, was so nice and informative as she completed the procedure...would recommend this place to others like me...fingers crossed the migraines stop!

Blua Banana is one of my favourite shops of all time! They have styles that I love in my taste such as goth clothing and dresses that women used to wear in the 1950 era. The shop could also book appointments for piercings and tattoos for costumers that outstanding and also sales incredible gothic boots that match the whole look!

A piercing i asked what the bag of salt was for after she threw it at me -.- then had the cheek to say you 'sniff it durh' urmm ok?
