Visited Jodie’s on several occasions recently: once for a piercing (reverse navel by Leonie) and twice more for advice after problems with piercings completed at another studio locally. Firstly, the ambience of the shop and service is spot on: clean, welcoming & efficient (even on a busy Saturday). It’s the little extras that make a difference such as the refreshments & glass cases offering alternative jewellery. Both Jodie and Leonie are professional and take the time to place you at ease whilst offering really good advice and guidance. Have highly recommended to others & this business certainly deserves every success.

‘Jodie’s Piercing’ is without a doubt the best place in Colchester and all of Essex! To say the place is immaculately clean is an understatement! She’s so very professional, friendly, makes everything so comfortable for you and doesn’t waste a minute of your time! Jodie has so many options of jewellery it’s incredible. There is no one else I’d recommend! Keep doing what you’re doing and ‘keep being you’ - first class service!!! Bravo 👏🏻

I had my piercing done by Jodie the shop is so clean and you feel really comfortable and welcome. Was really impressed with my piercing and how quick and professional Jodie was she recommended the correct jewellery for the piercing I wanted so it healed correctly. Came to Jodie’s for a nose piercing after being recommended by a friend. The studio is spotless and Jodie was so friendly!! The piercing was quick and painless and Jodie gave really great advice on after care and actually genuinely cared when I explained I wanted a ring and why it needed to heel properly first, I’ve recommended anyone from the local area who mentions wanting a new addition. I had a really positive experience getting a piercing done here. The shop is really clean and bright with a nice atmosphere when you walk in. The staff are friendly and welcoming and my piercing is healing great :) Lots of aftercare advice given and was able to just walk in without an appointment. 100% will recommend!

Was quite nervous about having a piercing, had a look around for a local studio and decided to try Body Piercing by Jodie. Could not be happier, friendly people in the studio, both staff and customers, all my questions were answered, even the ones I thought were silly! Once completed it wasn’t a case of thanks for your money, now get out, it was advice on keeping the piercing clean, what to do if anything happens, was told that I can contact Jodie about any other questions that may arise. Over all, brilliant studio, funny and amazing people in the studio, will be back in the future, can not recommend Jodie enough.

Came here for a nipple piercing for myself and a lobe piercing for my friend - I was quite anxious and nervous about it and Jodie made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She spoke to me throughout the process, and took care to pierce it in the right spot. Absolutely painless piercing process due to the numbing, and well explained after care. My friend with the lobe piercing also had a very positive experience. Will definetly be coming back, travelling from London for my piercings here :)

I cannot reccomend this place enough!! I have had piercings by both Jodie and Leonie over the past year and both experiences have been brilliant! They are both very professional but so friendly and make you feel at ease! Great choice of jewellery to choose from and after care explained. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Every time ive been in the shop (too nervous the first time to actually get my nipple pierced) the shop is always clean and tidy, Jodie (assuming Jodie is the blonde woman who is always in there) is always friendly and welcoming, she could clearly see I was nervous and told me to have a think and come back when I was 100% to go through with it, there was no pressure or dirty looks because I didn't go through with anything unlike some other shops ive been into. She really put me at ease when I came back, and I now love my nipple bar. I can’t recommend body piercing by Jodie enough!!! AND its smack in the middle of town.

I’ve had 2 conch piercings and an industrial done here and they’ve all healed really well, always seen really fast and the studio it spotless. Will definitely be back for more.

All of my piercings are great from here, reasonable prices, fast and get the job done no problems! I’ve had no problem with my student ID being used here until now. Today I’ve found out nothing is supposed to be accepted unless it has the verified date so they know people aren’t reusing ID after they’ve left education. This is unfair - my 6th form ID doesn’t have the date, as well as this they don’t accept UNiDAYS which verifies you through a school email and at the end of the term where you have to reverify yourself to confirm your a student. Also wouldn’t accept me showing I go to 6th form with my email account and emails. I find this really unpractical as I can’t get the discount and want to warn others in the future - and feel they should do proper research into valid IDs like unidays!

Jodie has done three piercings for me now and they have all been perfect. The placement is spot on and she is very careful and accommodating to my allergies. She has a good selection of earrings to buy as well, including plastic retainers, titanium, and coloured. Such a lovely little shop. She also freezed my recent ear piercings to my surprise which was nice.

Had my septum pierced yesterday by Jodie. I’ve had quite a few piercings in my time but Jodie was by far the most professional. Lovely studio, very clean with lovely displays and jewellery to buy once I’m all healed up! There was also refreshments :D just a nice place to spend some time! Definitely makes me want to come and get some more piercings :D

Had a belly piercing the other day, done well, was quick is still healing but does appear to have a rash around it? Just leaving it for now. The piercing part was fine, but I found Jodie to be slightly rude, cold and unwelcoming. She was talking to another customer and the conversation wasn’t flowing, so I had butt in to say something within a large gap, in which the other customer had started talking at the same time coincidentally (I also have ADHD and struggle to keep my mouth shut ) and she gave me quite a rude response, felt like I’d been told off by a teacher lol. No kind of run through of after care just a leaflet, would appreciate maybe the very basics to be said (eg: clean daily bla blah blah)

Cannot recommend Jodie’s piercings in Colchester high enough! The shop is clean, welcoming and has a really nice calm vibe, to be greeted by Jodie who is friendly and welcoming was the best war piercing experience and place I have used so much so I went back within a week and had more done and also took the children, they even said that it’s the best shop they’ve ever been in to they loved the experience! Thank you Jodie!! (Boy - lobes, me- tragus, helix, concho, third lobes photos taken within hour of piercing!)

I don’t really know where to start- but if there was an option for 6 stars I would give 6! Jodie is so friendly, calm & professional. The shop is absolutely spotless, she takes the covid precautions seriously and creates a relaxed, calming atmosphere. I can’t think of anywhere else I would have a piercing. Highly, highly recommend!!
