Was in Scotland recently august 2022. Mark was our artist. He is fantastic, funny, kind, has a gentle touch. Love my thistle tattoo, it’s beautiful! My daughter and son-in-law were with me and Mark made time for my son-in-law to get work as well. We are all very happy with our tattoos. Recommend making an appointment, it’s a busy shop.

Impulsively decided to get a walk-in tattoo when we were in Edinburgh, three other tattoo parlours told us to go to Old Town Tattoo and I am SO happy we went!! They have the cutest shop with such a great atmosphere, Steph and Cat are the sweetest people ever and within an hour we were done with the whole process! Honestly can’t wait for the day I get the chance to get another tattoo here. Definitely a 10/10 experience would 100% recommend <3

My husband and I live in Canada and we came to Edinburgh on our honeymoon. I looked up this tattoo shop a couple months before we came and the reviews were so good and the portfolios were amazing. So we went ahead and we booked with Steph to each get a tattoo while we were visiting the city. They communicated with us via Facebook messenger and took our deposit to hold our spot. There was no delay in correspondence, and the receptionist was so friendly. When we arrived at the shop, we noticed how clean it was and what a good vibe they had going on there. We were delighted to find out that the artist that we had booked with is actually the owner. She’s amazing. She is sweet and kind and personable and very professional. Her work is outstanding and her prices are very reasonable. We both got black and gray tattoos and they are incredible! We are both pretty heavily covered in tattoos, and I can say that her touch was probably one of the most gentle tattoos I’ve ever had. To say that we are happy is an understatement. I would highly recommend this tattoo shop if you are looking to get your souvenir from Edinburgh. We will 100% book again on our next visit back to Edinburgh and will most definitely go with Steph.

Got my first tattoo done and the staff were amazing but got a bit ripped of as they charged me £80 for simple line work and that’s it, I spoke to friends with tattoos and even they said that a bit much for just that so was annoyed about but other than that great experience and lovely welcoming staff

All artists will discuss thoroughly what you want, the best positioning and any additional ideas to help you find your perfect piece. If they can’t help you straight away for a walk in (it’s a busy shop), they’ll suggest other shops in the area which I think shows such a high level of professionalism. Love all of my tattoos from here. Steph, Cat and Mark are the bees knees :) For being in such a central location in Edinburgh, the prices are extremely reasonable. Definitely recommend anyone reading this have a nosey on their Instagram/Facebook to see for yourselves!

Booked in with Mark for a design I'd been thinking of for a while and was in the area visiting friends for the week. Could not have had a better experience. Extremely friendly, professional and what a clean studio. Mark went through the design first and took the time to make sure it was perfectly aligned on my forearm. Great and relaxing atmosphere. Everyone working was so personable and friendly, it really makes for a comforting environment. I absolutely love the tattoo I got at Old Town. The only thing I’d want to give people a heads up about is that they only accept cash, so make a withdrawal beforehand and don’t end up like me running to an ATM with a fresh tattoo.

I've had a few tattoos now, 2 of which were done at Old Town Tattoo, and I can't recommend this place highly enough. First and foremost their work is amazing; the artists are incredible. I knew I wanted a tattoo but couldn't settle on a design, passing my idea on to Steph who drew up the amazing work I now have on my arm. The guys there are so talented. Not only do you always get a stunning tattoo but the place and people are really friendly and overall give a really good experience. I have been to a few tattoo shops and have sometimes felt a little uncomfortable, but I always feel relaxed and welcomed when I go to Old Town.

A great place to go for a tattoo, with a few artists and a friendly receptionist. Reasonably priced, professional and good quality work. I've been there many times to get tattooed by Steph over the past few years. Very accommodating whether it's your first tattoo or 20th! It's a chilled out place to be. Definitely worth a visit if you're wanting a tattoo.

I got my first tattoo there, went back for my second and I don't even live in the UK! Super friendly bunch, very understanding and they give a very honest, professional opinion on whether your idea for a tattoo can work or not. So happy they did or I might have ended up with a crappy tattoo in 2years time (you know, with the tattoo ageing and stuff). Great vibe in the shop, so any stress or doubts immediately disappear. And honestly, the people working there are just the nicest, coolest and most talented! I'll probably travel back to Edinburgh for future tattoos :)

I've been tattooed at Old Town 9 times and wouldn't go anywhere else. All the staff are super friendly and welcoming which makes for a great atmosphere in the studio when getting tattooed. They have several different artists that cover all kinds of tattoo styles and are more than happy to take the time to talk to you about an idea or a design. Small place but full of talented artists. Reasonable priced. Awesome work. Great staff. Very hygienic. Booking is easy thru Facebook but you'll need to make a small deposit using PayPal before the booking is confirmed. The deposit will be taken off from the tattoo price. Highly recommend.

Staff were all very friendly, easy to book an appointment via facebook Make sure you take cash with you because it was cash only! Cash point is only up the street a bit. a tiny bit of my tattoo wasn't completely coloured in. Gave very good care instructions after.
