Gillian is fantastic. My appointment was to have a portrait of one of my dog's on my leg and WOW, the detail Gillian put it is amazing. I love it. Gillian is professional, talented and friendly. No request was too much including a second tattoo. I wouldn't go anywhere else other than Mortez tattoo & piercing for my tattoos.

I cannot recommend Mortez enough! The studio is such a fantastic atmosphere, very chilled out and comforting. All the artists and staff are incredibly lovely and welcoming and just in general make you feel like you are in the right place. Walked in early evening the other day for a piercing. I’ve had my fair share of piercings done and must say this was the friendliest and most professional studio i have come across. The piercer was super friendly and actually spoke me through the whole process which was really nice. I have never had that before. If you are a nervous person but want a piercing would definitely recommend this studio as the atmosphere there will calm your nerves immediately! Thank you for piercing my nose, i love it!

Had a lovely experience getting a tattoo at this studio, the process was incredibly simple, and the artist Matty was incredibly welcoming, and eager to work with some Ideas I had for a tattoo. The atmosphere of the studio was warm and the other artists seemed kind and genuinely great people.This studio in comparison to one that I recently got a tattoo from was so much better in overall experience. Glad to not be mansplained for two hours or have the passive aggressive lecture on my tattoos/work of freelance artists. Would come here again :).

Can't recommend these guys enough. I've had most of mine done with Gillian (stealth badger) and love every piece. The chat is excellent, the whole team so friendly and the tattoos are stunning. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out (she's finishing a folk horror sleeve on me), and I didn't even cry a little which makes for a very successful Saturday in my book. Got my septum piercing from Rachel and had the best time being stabbed for fun. Walk in was super quick, was greeted by the receptionist and welcomed. Rachel was really friendly and informative about the process and what to expect at every step. Very gentle and caring while creating the piercing which I really appreciated as it was my first piercing in 16 years! So, so in love with my septum and very excited for the healing process to be done so I can get my new nose ring in that I also picked up from the gorgeous selection of jewellery available in the shop. I have been a customer of Gillains for quite some time now - just couldn't get enough! She has done an incredible portrait of my nonnie on my thigh which takes my breath away everyday! I watched her make my design idea come to life right in front of my eyes was insane! After such an amazing time I felt comfortable enough to ask Gillian to fix a sleeve I had been hiding for years - we work away on it bit by bit and everytime she draws on my arm I am astounded with how she has managed to turn such an embarrassing arm into something I am very happy with. Not only that - it is an a safe space in Mortez and once you've been in once.. you've got friends for life! I am always buzzing to get back!! 🥰

Lovely studio, it's open and well lit with great decor. The customer service is fantastic, we went in as a group of 5 to get tattooed. And we met Gillian who was very friendly and incredibly accommodating. We all got tattooed by CJ who made our concept come to life. And as a group we are all chuffed with the tattoo and the experience at mortez. Extremely pleased, would recommend booking an appointment here for both quality work and welcoming service!

Gillian and Audrey are so lovely and welcoming when you enter the studio - Gillian loves listening to ideas and really goes above and beyond with her designs. Myself and my partner love going to her as she knocks it out of the park every time. Plus the new premises is absolutely stunning and super clean and the space for other artists and even a piercing section is awesome. The studio is first class and really friendly and helpful staff weather it be your first tattoo or your 10th everyone is made feel at home in the relaxed atmosphere ,I have been using gillian for my work for over 10 years and I couldn't think of a better artist to use,every piece I have had done has been a custom piece based on vague idea in my head that she then turns into an incredibly piece of art and its not alaways been easy for her as some have been cover ups but she always seems to smash it out the park and I live that I get to carry her artwork about every day
