Visited Fifth Dimension today with a friend to get matching conch piercings. Both the lady on reception and the piercer were very welcoming and friendly and put us at ease. The piercer made me feel very relaxed and confident and I absolutely love my new piercing. I live near Norwich but would definitely go to Fifth Dimension if (when!) I want another one!

I had a walk-in septum piercing done yesterday and it was a great experience, I highly recommend the place! The staff was really accommodating and professional. We only waited 5 minutes for our turn. The piercer was a really nice and calm person and he made me feel at ease even though I was a bit nervous at the beginning. He also had the patience to answer some random questions of my friend who had a ring pierced somewhere else. Thank you! :)

I got a bellybutton piercing at the salon and was thoroughly impressed with the level of care and professionalism brought forth by the staff. There was a pleasant atmosphere and I felt well taken care of and the piercing itself was quick and painless. I've been here twice for piercings and both times had a really great experience! Walked in for a piercing today, the person doing it was really friendly and welcoming, explained everything thoroughly, and was very hygienic (unwrapping the single use needles in front of you etc). It was also done really quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend!

I did my nose piercing last Saturday and despite I faint easily, Phred made me feel super comfortable and also less scared! The piercing didn’t hurt that much and it was done in a very professional manner! It’s been nearly a week and the piercing is perfect, no signs of being swollen or anything! I rang to confirm that I could walk in without an appointment today for piercings and arrived shortly after :) I was greeted by a lovely lady and we exchanged some excellent similar global views then I was introduced to the man piercing my ears :) there was a very friendly, relaxed vibe and he was SO incredibly efficient through the whole process! Step by step telling me what he was doing and it didn't really hurt just a little sting here and there :D very reasonable price for 3 piercings and I loved the experience so I would DEFINITELY recommend :) thanks a million!

First time getting a piercing and couldn't have asked for a better experience. I got a double helix done and was surprised that the initial bite of the needles had a minimal effect on my ear. Dont bother reading the one star reviews and dont let them put you off getting a piercing at this location. Also I'd like to add my personal thanks to the person who gave me my piercings I'm absolutely loving them and am most definitely going to be coming back for more.

Went for a walk-in septum piercing and it was professional, hygienic, excellent service. It was my first nose piercing and felt very at ease with the piercer. For anyone unsure about prices, please consider piercing is a highly skilled, hygienic practise. Pain is obviously different for everyone but my experience was close to painless, I was surprised to learn this. It’s coming up to 3 weeks and it’s been healing up smoothly. Great, calm, positive vibes. Will be back to change my ring soon. Thank you so much!

I got both my nipples pierced back in December and they are healing perfectly. Andy spent as much time as he needed to make sure the placement was perfect and I couldn't be happier. My experience was so good I didn't doubt to go back to get my septum done. Andy asked me which thickness I preferred and made sure once again that the piercing was perfect. I also asked for two curved barbells for my two tragus and he offered to put them in. The studio is spotless and it's obvious that Andy is a great professional with a very particular sense of humour. I wouldn't doubt to go to Fifth Dimension for all your piercing needs!

Everything is in the good vibes of that place ^^ It was my first piercing ever, I wanted to do a 2mm piercing to stretch the lobe later, and I was quite nervous. It went super well. The lady at the reception is very kind and gentle. The piercing experience was great. There was the song "Indus" from Dead Can Dance, adding a bit of "consciousness" vibes in the room. The piercing guy, is super clean, really (REALLY) meticulous. Obviously I could trust him It went so well, that the day after I came back to do the same thing in the other ear :).

After 2 months of wearing my new tragus piercing i decided to took it off which turned out to be a very bad idea. So this morning i went back to this place where i actually had my piercing for the first time to check if the hole was still open but unfortunately the piercer guy told me the hole is completely closed and i have to go through everything all over again! I asked the piercer if i have to repay for it since it’s my fault but surprisingly he offered me a new piercing for FREE including the jewellery!! he really made my day. The piercer guy is so great! he was so quick and professional i was a little scared but he made me feel comfortable.

Great experience! Got septum piercing, and was a little nervy (im a wimp with needles) but the piercer was very calming - not a speck of pain. Quick, clean and easy! He was also good in explaining how the piercing may be slightly difficult to hide because of anatomy- lovely of him to let me know! Would definitely recommend for piercings :)

I would love to have given it 5 stars, however the piercer he is bloody intimidating. I understand people have different personality. But when someone goes to get a piercing you are scared enough as it is you don't then need the piercer to be even scarier. It made me feel really uncomfortable. I got my nipple pierced and i picked this place because of the good reviews. I will have to say the piercing was done perfect i love it. But sadly i won't be going back there again to get any more piercings done.

Went and got my septum pierced by Andy last weekend, and he was great - really cool and calm and talked me through everything, and it was virtually painless. I somehow managed to lose both of the balls on my horseshoe that evening but went back the next day and got them replaced - remember to check your balls regularly! :) Would recommend without a doubt, a really nice team of people - thanks!

A great studio with friendly people and a good philosophy to impart on others. I really wanted a graphic/watercolour tattoo before I had to go back to the US. I called ahead and was told their tattooists were booked until after my flight date. But, fortunate for me, they had a Flash Vegan Tattoo Sale which gave proceeds to an animal shelter. I went early and waited a few hours. I got tattooed by Jana Sooz who was very friendly (check her out! Awesome watercolour work) and excited to be doing the event. In terms of piercings... I saw about 6 people (during my 3 hour wait) come in for new piercings on the spot, walk out happy with no complaints; and very friendly guy doing the piercings. Wish I could stay longer to get another piece done, but grateful that I got to experience such a warm atmosphere.

Got my nose pierced and they fitted a ring straight away. I forget exactly how much it cost but it was somewhere between £30-£45. My piercing healed within a week or two using their little bottle of piercing aftercare which has lavender and lots of other lovely natural oils in. Both the lady on the front desk and man who pierced me were very welcoming and chatty! And as you can see I am very happy with the end result!

After doing a lot of research I stumbled across Sabina at Fifth Dimension, and fell in love with her work. We corresponded via emails, and when I came in we went over the design and it was better than I could have imagined. Sabina is lovely and a true artist! I've been here on 2 separate occasions and got a conch piercing and a rook piercing. The piercer was a true professional and the piercings are top quality. I've had no trouble with either of them in the months/year since. My only problem was that the piercer is quite intimidating and not very friendly. I felt quite on edge as he didn't really talk through what he wanted me to do etc. and yet seemed annoyed when I didn't do what he expected. These being my 10th/11th piercings I didn't mind too much but I wouldn't recommend going here for your first piercing or if you're particularly nervous about piercings because you won't be made to feel at ease. I know this may be a case of personality differences but I feel when you get a piercing you're really putting your trust in somebody and so you expect to feel comfortable and have a sense of mutual respect.

The studio is wonderful, with a smooth and welcoming vibe. The person that did my tattoo (Yuki) is not only charming, but also knows what she's doing. And loves what she's doing, which really shows. I went there knowing what I want, but also consulted and trusted her a lot, which made it all a beautiful experience and resulted in a tattoo way beyond my expectations. 6 out of 5 stars!

From beginning to end my experience of working with Fifth Dimension has been fantastic, from the initial consultation, through the design process to Phred’s actually doing my tattoo. Hadn’t quite realised he’d have a two month waiting list, but if you’re that good/in demand, guess that is how it is. Was really impressed by the care and fastidiousness with which he set up and ensured he had an aseptic environment to tattoo me in, comparable to my experience of working in operating theatres as an ODA when I was younger. Also really impressed by the way he kept things calm and chilled while he was actually tattooing me. I wanted and had the tattoo done on my chest, which I’d been warned can be particularly sensitive, especially for a first tattoo, so wasn’t sure how much it would hurt or how I’d tolerate the pain, an issue when I’d settled on a design that was going to require four hours of tattooing. Wouldn’t say it was pain free, but because of the peaceful, relaxed environment, entirely manageable, sufficient that I nodded off to sleep for a bit half way through. I don’t know what the going rate for a tattoo is, but bearing in mind the overheads of having premises in the middle of Shoreditch, just off Brick Lane, I thought what I paid for half a day’s work by a skilled artist and technician, was more than fair. Maybe I could have found a cheaper tattooist, but I very much doubt one who was this skilled, this competent and this careful five minutes off Brick Lane, guess you make your choices and pay your money accordingly. For something that’s going to be with me the rest of my life, this was more than worth the investment. Most important of all, I couldn’t be happier with my actual tattoo, it's the perfect interpretation and execution of what I wanted. I’m a very happy customer. This was going to be my one and only tattoo, that’s now not so clear cut, am beginning to feel tempted to get another. If I do, I’ll be going back to Fifth Dimension.

I asked if I could see the ring on my nose before I decided because I wanted it to see it with my other piercing. The piercer said "no - what does it matter you won't see them together hardly ever. Just pick a side." Horribly rude for someone terrified of getting their first pericing. There is no private room - just a curtain in the waiting area which was awful as everyone could hear me. They gave me no aftercare untill I said "ugh so how do I clean it?" Then I received a tiny piece of paper and no verbal instructions. Three stars because it's the only place that will pierce your nose with a ring and not a stud. Probably because you aren't supposed to do that. So far piercings are good though!

The end result was great but getting their wasn't a great experience. When I arrived I explained what I wanted and the guy on reception just laughed and handed me a consent form which immediately made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I was given many options throughout the process before the actual piercing which was quite confusing, I felt I was being quite open with what I wanted, after all they're the experts and part of the experience is getting the right advice, but it seemed like the piercer was almost put out when I responded to his questions and sometimes laughed at the responses I gave which made me feel really belittled. For example, I was given an option of a ring or stud but was told the ring was quite big to begin with. I asked if I could see the size so I could make a decision and the piercer said, no I never show anyone the jewellery before I do the piercing. I later learned this was sarcasm, but when this person is about to put a hole in your body maybe that was the wrong time to make a difficult to read joke?
