Had such a great experience at Hell to Pay, my friend and I spontaneously decided to get a tattoo here and got a same-day appointment. It was my first tattoo and everyone was so kind and friendly. I got my nipples pierced earlier today by Kaiya. They were so professional and made me feel so comfortable, which is so important especially when doing such an intimate piercing. The thought of getting my nipples pierced was daunting but as soon as I stepped into the studio I knew I was in safe hands! The whole place is really lovely, and Nova, the shop owener, who I met at the counter was also so sweet. They also have a really cute dog who helped calm my nerves!! I was given lots of time before my piercing to prepare mentally, and I didn't feel I was rushed into it or anything like that. I would recommend Hell To Pay so highly!! Will definitely be coming back here next time I am considering a new piercing :) <3

I had a diath piercing done here 6 weeks ago. The staff were great really friendly & the piercing was quick & efficient. They gave me good aftercare instructions & told me when it's healed & I'm ready to change the bar to pop in & they'll do it for me. Brilliant service, highly recommended. *I went in today to get the piercing bar replaced. Once again the staff were lovely. Very knowledgeable & patient while I chose. They put the new ring in for me & told me to come back anytime if I wanted it changed. Brilliant service. I'd recommend them highly* ** I went in today (11/10/20) for a helix piercing with Louise who is awsome. As always everyone was really friendly & professional. They're following all the Covid guidelines & I felt safe & secure. I got a walk-in piercing here yesterday and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff were very experienced, friendly, attentive, really communicative and clear, and totally professional. Emma did my piercing and she was brilliant. The aftercare instructions that were emailed to me are really clear and comprehensive - and they even offer a free checkup 3-4 weeks after to see all going smoothly! Ultimately I want a ring (instead of stud), and Emma offered that when it's time I could come in and they would help removing the piercing stud and finding a good ring. Honestly, could not have asked for a better experience - 5/5 would recommend to all. Thanks so much, Hell to Pay!

Got my first tattoo here! brilliant service, offering tea and good conversation while waiting for an appointment. and god, the art!!! I had the artist Ben Clark, and I could not be happier with my tattoo! he had drawn a beautiful outline before colouring, and the shading & colouring of the tattoo is just beautiful. he spent so long getting it right and constantly referring to images to ensure he got it right, and even spent a while highlighting and backgrounding the piece beautifully, and it all culminated in one of the most beautiful pieces of art I've ever seen. I am so proud to have it on my body and to have it as my first tattoo!!! ❤❤❤

Amazing piercing shop with amazing staff. I’ve been coming here a little over a year to get my piercings done and I will continue coming here. I’ve only been pierced by Louise, she is an amazing piercer and friendly. The shop owner and other staff I’ve encountered at my appointments are all also very friendly and greet you when you arrive. Previous places I’ve been to just seem to want your money and have you in and out but here I know everyone wants you to have a great experience and values you. Thank you for always making me feel comfortable, giving me great piercings, jewellery and aftercare advise.

I went to the Halloween flash day this year, and had this design done by the very talented Klaudia. The work was thorough, unhurried, and the hygiene standards were taken seriously. The staff there were all cool, very friendly, and while I was waiting I even heard the person covering reception turn down a potential walk-in customer who was asking for a finger tattoo, which (as she said) is a potentially messy procedure and should really only be done when the artist is totally sure that the client is aware of what they're getting in to. She gave sound, non-judgemental advice which is definitely the responsible thing to do. I can't say that every studio would do the same! I'm already planning to get another piece done there, as the quality of all the artists' diverse styles was obvious. I've had four pieces done so far in different studios and this was definitely my favourite experience.

10/10 would 100% recommend. I had three (yes at once) chest microdermal piercings done here by Emma. The attention to detail is phenomenal, measurement rulers to measure distance between the piercings were equal and symmetrical. Very good hygiene, everything was clearly autoclaved and clean to use. Amazing customer service, I was very unsure between sternum bar and dermal, Emma sat down with me for 30 min explaining pros and cons of each and allowing me to choose between opals and regular dermals. I was scared to come here for piercings because there weren't many pictures shown on website for this type. But Emma is a very well versed and clearly experienced piercer so this sort of project she handled with such confidence it really reassured me. I also was offered a free 2 week check up consultation which was great as well as hygiene instructions for piercings via email also so close to Camden Town Station so great location easy to get to

I really love this place, the atmosphere is great. I came here twice, both times as walk-ins. Each time the appointment was arranged for the same day within a few minutes which was amazing. I overall had three tattoos done by Ben who I can’t recommend enough! He is really professional, gentle and patient and always made sure I was 100% happy with the result. Super friendly people who know what they're talking about. They stock a fantastic range of jewellery and can even change the colour of the jewellery. I wouldn't choose anywhere else. I came here as a piercing I had done elsewhere became so sore and irritated and just wasn't healing. They knew that the jewellery the other shop had put in wasn't suitable and wasn't good quality. As soon as they put in a more suitable size jewellery piece, I immediately felt better and now my piercing looks great!

So, it's a girlie birthday day out window shopping in Camden. The girls had already decided on their big treat for the day, the re-opening of a medusa and a new septum piercing. Now I've got all the piercings I think I'll ever want. But I've been sitting on this tattoo idea for months. It's time for a quick Google search, and as everyone knows, sometimes you look at a place and go 'no way', 'not for me' and 'oh, is that even clean?'. Not here. I saw their page, I saw some photos and I knew that this is where I wanted to go. Had a quick phone call asking about walk in tattoo appointments and the team were super helpful, saying they might - no guarantee--but they'd need me to come in to discuss what it was I wanted. Now this shop is tucked away at the back of another touristy street shop, but don't let that intimidate you. As soon as you walk in, you are comforted by the warm, clean, artistic environment. The working rooms are discreetly tucked away and feel spacious given its residence in a tiny London conversion. We were greeted by the owner, Sam, and her lovely pampered Pup, Kurimu. And if a friendly, soft sausage dog greeting you in a sweater vest while being worn in a sling doesn't sell you on this place, then frankly, I don't know what will. This team was incredible. The piercers were professional and experienced and the tattoo artist was sheer perfection! He took my design and together we tweaked it until it had a bit of both of us in it. It turned into an art piece far beyond my small simple design, one I am honoured to wear on my skin. I felt safe and had fun and fell in love with this place and the people in it. If you ever have needs of a tattoo/piercing shop in Camden, this should be at the /top/ of your list. I will definitely be going back.

Yesterday (Sunday) I walked into the studio and asked for an appointment.. They gave me one for 2 hours later and reminded me to eat something. The girls at the reception were super nice and explained to me which of my ideas would work and which wouldn't. I felt very comfortable from the beginning! Ben added my desired alterations to the motive I gave him and I absolutely loved the size and design! He did a great job at tattooing and I felt very comfortable with him too! :) Thanks guys for taking such good care of me! I recommend this studio to everyone who wants to get an amazing tattoo in London! :)

Super cool studio and really great staff!! The girl at reception was so friendly and I only had to wait ten minutes to get my walk-in septum piercing. I got it done by Davide, a guy from another studio who was in Hell to Pay today, and he was honestly so friendly and kind and really took his time to get it lined up and correct. It was a great experience! My first tattoo... Ben was my tattoo artist, he is really a great boy, he is very calm and he do his best to relax me also during the tattoo. I imagine a lot of pain... But he has a really "light hand" and everything was going in the right way during and after the tattoo. So thank you a lot Ben also for your patience! 2019 update: I went in with a friend to both get pierced and a new guy works here. He was very friendly but flaky. He told me he could do us both and then booked someone else in between us. It was very strange and then he said he didn’t have time for me after doing my friends piercing. It was super frustrating. I had a lot of piercings here and always loved it but this guy really put me off the place. Hoping he won’t be there if I return (I still want that septum piercing). 2018: I’ve have my nostril and septum pierced here. I love it and will be back! As far as I can tell it’s all women and they are so nice and professional and friendly. And also great piercers!

I absolutely love this place and would highly recommend it. I got a tattoo done by Laura in May on a trip from the USA. She had multiple designs for me to pick from based on the info I provided and was willing to work with me to give me my best tattoo to date! On top of that, I had some issues with my payment and the staff there was more than accommodating and made the experience wonderful. I genuinely wish I lived there or had the money to travel there often so that I could get all of my tattoos from Laura!

I have had multiple tattoos, and even a couple of piercings done here and have loved it every time. If like me you want a studio that you can go back to each time, this is the place. The more you go, the more the staff recognise you and you start to feel like part of the studio. I haven’t been in a while due to me living out of the area, and not being able to afford a new tattoo, however if anyone asks me where I got my tattoos done I will always recommend this place. I can understand why some people might find the staff opinionated, but in my experience this is because they know what is best, I have had tattoos in places where they do exactly what you ask and it isn’t the same. Again, everytime I’ve been I have had an amazing experience, I have booked my next tattoo whilst I am getting one done, and every artist is as friendly! If you are looking for a high quality tattoo at a good price, this is the studio I would recommend! Oh and the best part, EVERYTHING they do is unique. They will never repeat the same thing, they will always change an element to make sure it is different to anything else they have done or you have shown them.

Got my first tattoo here, the customer service is fast and efficient(Email and in person), Ben did my tattoo and asked me if I needed anything during the tattoo which I thought was awesome! Went in for consultation and they give me good advice. Recommended other places for some removal I'd probably need first. Won't do a tattoo if they think it'll look rubbish or won't suit which is refreshing. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think they have facilities to take card payment. Would be better if they did as I wouldn't necessarily be that comfortable walking around the area with a lot of money on me. I recently had my second tattoo done here at hell to pay by Klaudia. I am so happy with the result! Very acurate work and everything was steril and done properly. Very reasonable pricing as well! The things that bothered me a little bit were the attitude of the front desk lady‘s and the unexpected language barrier with the artist. I feel like the attitude comes from all the routine and the walk ins. They have so many people coming in on a daily basis asking for the same stuff. And i feel like that has made them bored and a bit annoyed. That unfortunately is unprofessional and really puts the customer off! I‘d probably look for another tattoo parlor next time i visit London. Because i want to be treated better as a customer and i want to have a less shallow conversation regarding my tattoo with the artist.

Nice artwork, great staff, fair price. Really like this place. I did a tattoo with a film reference, and the original picture wasn’t very clear, but the tattoo artist Lee did a great job, I like his traditional style, and he added his own creativity to the pattern, the nice line work and shades just made this little image my own, it’s unique.

I got two piercings done, walked in and managed to get an appointment one hour later which was a pleasant surprise. Was seen to by the nice Hungarian lady (I'm so sorry I forgot your name!) and she warned me my piercings would hurt, so I knew what to expect. She also advised me on what size jewellery to wear (including my previous piercings) to minimise discomfort. Afterwards she kindly let me hang around the shop until I felt well enough to go home and even let me help myself to the sweets on the desk (the orange-flavoured halloween ones are really good). Very happy with the service and planning to go back soon!

Super happy with the service that I received today from Hell to Pay Tattoo & Piercing Studio I was a walk in and I got a piercing from Louise who was lovely and super chilled from the get go and made me feel at ease. She explained the process and after care and I was very happy with the piercing itself - as someone prone to nerves she made me feel comfortable and I will definitely go back for any future piercings I would highly recommend Hell to Pay and their services and the price was very reasonable *UPDATE* Went back to get a second piercing which was done beautifully by Louise (two months after my first piercing which I reviewed above) however after a day I had second thoughts (its in a vulnerable place and sits just where my glasses sits on my ears) so thought it best to remove it I went back and Reka removed it for me at no cost, and gave me a voucher for the cost of the piercing Honestly, phenomenal service and great people!

The entrance is NOT actually on the high street. You have to go into a souvenir shop, go to the back, up the stairs to find it. Busy but good staff and tattoos are reasonably priced.
