I’d been thinking about getting my tattoo for a while, so I contacted Prohibition Ink, based on the good reviews online, with a description of what I wanted. Jay got back to me a couple of hours later with a time for us to meet the following Saturday, and I sent over a few visual refs. The day before my appointment, Jay sent over an absolutely beautiful design that incorporated all the elements I had asked for - I was thrilled. He really listened to what I wanted and created something that surpassed all the refs I had sent him. The next day when I arrived at the studio, Jay had printed out three stencils of the tattoo in different sizes and we chose a size and got started. I loved how organised and smooth everything was, and it gave me total confidence. Jay’s work is stunning, and he really look his time over the tattoo, working carefully on the very intricate and detailed linework and shading of my tattoo. It looks stunning - better than I could ever have hoped for. All the aftercare information was spot-on. Jay himself is really friendly and professional - important when you’re going to be sitting together for hours - and the studio is private, clean and comfortable but still with character, and it’s brilliantly situated in Pop Brixton. I 100% recommend Jay and Prohibition Ink. Excellent.

I visited Prohibition Ink last week to fix an old tattoo which hadn't aged well, and I came out completely in love with my tattoo again. JJ was brilliant throughout the whole session and made me feel total comfort and trust in what he was doing. The place is extremely clean and it was so refreshing to walk into a tattoo parlour so welcoming rather than intimidating like a lot of other places! Their impeccable service continues after you leave the studio, as JJ has been very responsive in answering my questions regarding aftercare (of which I am very grateful!).

Omg got tattoo here earlier and it was one of the best tattoo experiences I have ever had! (Well it was my first and not last) after walking past this shop many times I decided to call the number. More or less instant response from a guy Jay whom made me feel very at ease so we agreed for me to pop in for a consultation. I had an interest of what I wanted and showed the tattoo artist Jay in which he did a sketch (perfect attention to detail) absolutely love it!! After making my decision about what Tattoo to get next I was advised to check out prohibition ink from an alternative Tattoo Artist i know, I arrived on the Monday and was greeted with a warm welcome the by the Artist and owner Jay. We sat down and discussed what I would like and then he assured me he would get some designs drawn up and email me in the week. On the Tuesday evening i received some amazing pieces that made it difficult for me to choose, after a few back and forth emails we eventually decided and by Wednesday I was ready for tattooing. I arrived on the Wednesday and was really excited to get going, usually 4 hours of being inked can be quite tedious but I was really relaxed and felt a huge comfort throughout the whole experience. I couldn't be happier with my final piece and have recommended Prohibition ink to all my friends! Go and check it out you will not be dissapointed!

I went to Prohibition Ink for my first ever tattoo and it’s safe to say I will be for sure returning. I was put in the trustful hands of Jay and I was so thankful, from initial panic and fear of the pain I was made to feel relaxed, safe and it was all so clean. I’m abit funny with needles so it’s a big thing, but everything was so sterile and he was so understanding. Answering every single one of my questions (there were about 100) and he even checked up on the aftercare and filled me in with a leaflet on what todo. I’m so grateful and absolutely love my tattoo.
