Unfortunately didn't carry alot of items in my size and I prefer to try on in a shop than order and have the hassle of sending items back if no good especially when items are high in price. Changing room could do with having a mirror inside not just outside, some of us are not comfortable with trying to see how a dress fits when you have a shop full of people walking around you and watching you. (You can defently fit one inside on the wall) I've been in smaller that still have mirrors. Cabt fult the staff tho, lovely and friendly and helpful x

Pricey but worth it for how much they clean down, very sterile, had my nose pierced, never went manky. I had an issue with changing my jewellry and Will managed to do it within the space of 5 minutes, defo recommend.

Always get my piercings done here, had majority of my ears, nipples, lip and nose done here. Usually done by Poppy who is absolutely lovely. Always done quickly, spoken to about placement and aftercare in depth.

The blue banana it's a handy shop to go to there's a shop on the ground floor sell's a multiple of things dresses tops hand bags and on the next floor they do piercing and in the shop they sell I think every sort of nose / ear /and a multiple of other item's u can have piercings for would reccomend if you like piercings

Staff are nice and happy to help. It's got an accessible entrance although the aisles are quite narrow. Sell amazing dresses and a decent range of hair dye if different brands and colours. They also sell piercing jewellery and accessories. They perform piercings although I've not personally had one from here.

I had my nose pierced at Blue Banana and was very happy with the whole experience. The lady marked the spot she intended to pierce and made sure I was happy with that before proceeding. She also assured me that the stud I had chosen was titanium as I'd advised I have very sensitive skin. The aftercare was explained at length and I was told I could come back if I wasn't pleased or had any concerns.

Average for a blue banana shop. Exactly as you expect them to be. The one thing i found was for a shop that pierce the staff didn't know about the jewellery they were selling. I asked about the material and gauge of the jewellery at the counter and the sales person didn't have a clue.

Had my tragus pierced with Eve yesterday, and couldn't believe how quick and efficient the process was. I used to work in a cosmetic surgery clinic and the piercing room (cleanliness) and procedures were on par with the clinic. Would highly recommend. Also given good aftercare pack and advice.

Loved this place as a kid, a variety of alternative fashion and piercings and hair dyes. It's so cramped inside though that wheelchair users and people with pushchairs should probably stay outside to avoid stress. Even crutches is difficult to manage in this place. As for their piercings service, I've had several with them and 4/5 went manky and weird. I dont understand why, could just be my luck. But I think it's important to mention nonetheless. Friendliest coolest looking staff in all the land.

First time going here for a piercing, everything was quick and simple, yet incredibly helpful and friendly. The girl that was working on the register was SO friendly and amazing and made sure everything was sorted out properly. Went upstairs and waited for about 5 mins for the piercer, she was also really nice. She told me when she was about to pierce. It DID hurt but for about 2 seconds, then she moved onto the other ear, same again. Now it doesn't hurt at all and looks fantastic. Also gave me a care pouch with instructions and cleaning products, free of charge.

Nice little Alternative clothing store selling main brand alt gear. Always have a good New Rock selection, and Demonia boots occasionally. Great for cheap stock items like fingerless gloves and bandanas. Manic Panic hair dye well stocked. Trends towards the modern "cheesecake" 1950s inspired style of alt outfits at the moment. Far more here for girls than for guys, but isn't that always the case with alt shops? Nice, friendly staff.

I went to Blue Banana to get my daith piercing changed after having had a nightmarish experience with my original piercer, who not only pierced me with the incorrect guage but ruined my first daith piercing (I originally had two) by trying to insert jewellery that was too thick! Having lost my first daith piercing, I was anxious that I could have faced similar issues when the time came to change my other daith. However, it soon proved that I had no reason to be worried because Poppy (with the fantastic blue hair!) put me at ease. I didn't feel the slightest thing when she took out my original jewellery (a 1.2mm ring) and inserted the heart jewellery (bought from BB) into my ear. No fuss and no pain - exactly what you should expect from any piercer! Paying £5 was worthwhile because my piercing is not only healthy, but it looks brilliant with its new jewellery! My only regret is that I didn't get my other piercings from Blue Banana in the past but, given the number of people sitting in the waiting room when I was getting my jewellery changed, BB is certainly respected in Nottingham. Any future jewellery changes, e.g. conch, will definitely will be done at BB, which also has a decent range of pretty, yet affordable jewellery!

I've been a customer at blue banana for my piercings for 3-4 years now and have had a total of 9 piercings done here (3rd lobe X2, rim, cartilage, tragus, daith, industrial, nose and rook). When I first went I was always greeted by friendly staff and who talked through everything. The piercer always took her time over what she was doing and ensured I was happy with what was going on while also taking a genuine interest in me as a person. She even began to recognise me and could identify what work she had done with me! However I assume around a year ago this particular piercer left and her replacement who did my daith cartilage rushed and didn't talk to me at all, she didn't go through and aftercare with me and seemed as if she didn't care what she was doing, she just needed to get the people through. The piercings have all been of high quality apart from the cartilage which is at an awkward angle. I have had issues with keloid scars which they haven't offered much advice on, I have also gone back to them to get my new jewelry put in and they were unable to do this but still charged me £3. So I'm looking for a new piercer currently however blue banana have done a good job on the majority of my piercings, the staff on shop floor are friendly and are happy to talk to you about alternative jewelry for piercings. Their after care scheme seems to be efficient and piercings are affordable (especially as they regularly do deals) its just a shame about that one bad experience I had

I had multiple piercings done by Poppy on multiple dates. Everything is splendid apart from the fact that if there's an issue with the piercing, they won't change the jewelery until the healing time no matter what and will suggest you do it yourself

I went to Blue Banana recently to get my septum pierced. I've had other piercings before and my pain threshold is quite high. However, this REALLY hurt. The healing process has been long and quite painful. I can now see that the piercing is lower than a septum piercing should be, it goes through the thick skin at the bottom of my nose (lower than the 'sweet spot'. I don't mind the look of it though, so I have decided to keep it. The lady who pierced me was very friendly and the staff at the shop were very helpful when I lost a ball off my horseshoe ring. They replaced it for me for free.
