Had issues with my aircon and my usual garage has recently closed, called these guys up and they saw me same day and fixed it at a reasonable cost. Friendly and professional service, will definitely visit again!

Took my car here for a major oil and coolant leak after another garage failed to repair the problem. Provided me with a courtesy car for a week, kept me updated throughout and completed the repairs for a fair price. Excellent customer care and all round service. Also replaced a couple of bulbs and sorted my problematic central locking free of charge. Can't thank them enough for getting me back on the road. Highly recommended.

After deciding to have some serious work done on my car and having been told no by quite a few garages in my own area, i got in touch with cowdray. It was clear Dan knew what he was talking about so i made the journey from Scotland down. He had my engine out, stripped, rebuilt and refitted in the same day, while being provided with a free courtesy car . Excellent pricing and an excellent service received. Thanks again guys

Chris and his team are brilliant! Everything was explained to me and they gave me options and showed a genuine interest in my car and helping to get it sorted. It really is hard to find a garage to trust these days but no issues here. I'd say they went above and beyond on my BMW 650. Will be using them permanently from now on!

I had just bought a nice Bentley turbo r for my tour business and heard about these guys in Essex who could give it a once over and get it up to speed (literally!) I was not disappointed. From the moment I was greeted by Helen on reception until I drove the refreshed old girl out of their forecourt. I was more than impressed by their down to earth knowledge, enthusiasm and “can do “attitude. Old school values high tech answers ! They are the ones to go to. Thankyou Chris and his team for making my first Bentley experience a great one!

I have just been made aware of a 1-star rating that I left on google review for your company. This is an error and I am unable to explain how it happened. Your company is definitely more than 1 star. I had a warm welcome from Chris when I brought in my car and he provided me with a replacement car while mine when in for investigation and repairs. The account below by the owner is a true account of our transaction. Cowdray Car Centre is a reputable garage that I would recommend.

My car broke down late on Friday with a flat tyre around 6pm. I frantically called local car repairs hoping for a miracle and many shunned me away for not having a booking, some even offered to assist me the following week. Cowdray however went the extra mile and offered to replace my wheel with the spare wheel in the back despite me calling just after closing time on a Friday night! Incredible service, they even offered me a drink. It’s rare in this world to see genuine people who want to help people, Cowdrays restored my faith in humanity. Forever grateful for your help and you have definitely earned my custom. 5 stars doesn’t do it justice, I wish there was a a way to give them 15 stars.

I had a problem with the roof jamming on my CLK200 and feared the worst. A new pump would have cost £2k + but Chris and the tea. Helped me source a second hand one for £200, and solved the problem. The car also had the "Mercedes squeek" from the engine that I feared was the bottom pulley. It was checked and found to be a failed rubber mount between the engine and gearbox which was replaced for a small amount. I am sure many other garages would have told me it was the pulley and charged me loads more. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The team at ‘CCC’ are truly amazing at what they do. Polite, honest, decent and very welcoming. I found that a lot of mechanics can be over priced and always take the easiest and most lucrative way for themselves to get the job done - CCC are the polar opposite! They are very honest and always have a couple of options open to you. They are fair, very skilled and quick to get the job done.....without cutting corners. They are the ONLY mechanics I would ever recommend in the Essex area. I’m blessed to have them on my doorstep here in Colchester, Essex. Helen (the receptionist and part of the family that own the company) is always happy to help and makes the whole service fantastic. Bravo CCC- keep up the amazing work!

Very happy with Chris, Helen and team on both their customers and car service and all round professionalism. Always willing to have a chat and couldn't argue at the diagnosis, repair and turnaround of my AMG merc when in for a gearbox issue. Many years ago my farther had his 1984 380se Serviced and Maintained by Chris who is Owner of this wonderfull place when he was situated in Colchester on the Cowdray Centre, Then Chris moved to Shrub end road in Colchester and we lost contact. Well i found him and contacted him asking for a Gearbox Fluid and Filter change along with changing my Glow plugs on my s211. What a massive thanks, Very proffesional him and his team did a cracking job and at a Brilliant price. His garage is full of Top Marks ie Porsche, Bently, Mercedes to name but a few. I will deffinatly be useing theses guys again

Absolutely could not recommend these guys enough!!! They have helped me out on several occasions and have always managed to get whatever the problem is sorted with minimal fuss. Even though I keep bringing them broken Bentley Turbos... they still let me in ;)
