My sister and I hiked the West Highland Way this past summer, and we were unbelievably grateful for and impressed with Gregg and Baggage Freedom. On the first day in Milngavie he arrived early to take our suitcases, and there was no fuss, he just wished us a lovely trip. After that, I did not see him again. And yet, at every stop, our bags were waiting for us, protected from the rain, and we finally found them again safely stowed in a storage locker at the Fort William train station. I do not know how Gregg does it, but I highly recommend using Baggage Freedom for any and all West Highland Way adventures.

Absolutely flawless service the whole way through! On one of the days I had to change my accommodation with very very little notice, so the drop off that day and the pickup the following day needed to be changed - I told the guy in person who came to the site to pick up my bag - I didn't get anything in writing, and I was slightly worried whether it would all go well. It couldn't have gone better! He had dropped it off exactly at the correct place and he picked it up at the correct place the following day - that is what I call amazing service!

Wonderful service! Gregg and the team helped me out when I rolled my ankle around Rowardennan and the ferry wasn’t running. Colin kindly took me to Inversnaid and was great company. We used Baggage Freedom to transport our luggage while walking the West Highland Way. Our luggage was taken at the train station in Milngavie at the start of our walk. As we came direct from the airport, is was not possible for us to be there at the morning pickup from a clock, but baggage freedom was very flexible and arranged a seperate transfer for us to our first hotel. For the return from Fort William we could join the driver so we did not have to come back by bus. We want to thank Baggage Freedom for their flexibility and for the good communication. I recommend Baggage Freedom to anyone who wants to walk the West Highland Way. They can also carry your luggage with tent from campsite to campsite. Very good communication through Messenger.

Our Invisible hero! I didn't meet Greg in person until the last day when my wife and I completed the Way in Fort William. However at each of our stops along the walk we were incredibly delighted to see the familiar sight of our bag at each place we stayed. When my friend and I first heard about this service we were skeptical, how can we be sure that our luggage will actually be transferred to each place during the route? Will they handle our non-trivial routes? We messaged Gregg and he was very nice and asked us if we need help planning the route, reviewed our trip plan and suggested us solutions on complicated days. Awesome service. I used Baggage Freedom for my second hike of the WHW in late October. They were the only service offering baggage transfers so late in the year which worked perfectly for my son's half-term dates. Easy to book on the website and Gregg is very responsive on the phone, text or on email. Everything worked like clockwork including the final dropping off of the bags at the Fort William station lockers. I used AMS for my first WHW and all was good but Gregg offers a more personal and responsive service.

Can't recommend 'Baggage Freedom' enough. The owner literally goes (or rather drives) the extra mile to keep his customers, or in my case their dogs, happy. I walked the WHW on my own with my dog, but on the day before the hike my dog was limping. The dog seemed fine again on the day where we were starting the hike, but I wasn't sure whether I should walk 30 km. Greg (the owner) suggested taking me to the next village and starting the hike from there, which we did. He kept in touch throughout the week always enquiring about the dog. If you want to support a small independent and local business, choose 'Baggage Freedom'. You definitely won't regret it!

Baggage freedom rescued us from certain misery yesterday. We hadn’t gotten news that the bridges around Inverarnan had washed out, and baggage freedom flagged us down when we came off the trail, and insisted that we ride with them to town instead of walk. Cannot recommend Baggage Freedom highly enough!! Greg met us at Milngavie train station to pick up our bags along with Spike the bulldog, which was a nice surprise for us dog lovers. He was full of advice and tips before we set off and all bags were delivered and picked up as arranged. He collected us from Fort William and dropped us off at Milngavie after our six day adventure and even managed to keep spirits high as we all tried to keep our eyes open on the trip back home. More importantly he was our knight in shining armour! On day 3 ( the hardest day of our trip walking from Rowardennan to Crianlarich we unfortunately found out after walking half way to the Beinn Ghlas bridge that it had collapsed due to heavy rain fall the previous night and that there was no way around it or to walk to Crainlarich besides along the busy main road which didn’t have a foot path. As we stumbled back to the Beinglas campsite in pain, going over our daily miles and disheartened the Baggage Freedom van appeared in the distance, at first we thought it was a mirage until he stopped and filled us in with what was happening. He was doing shuttle runs dropping trapped walkers from the campsite into Crianlarich so they could continue on the WHW. What an absolute LEGEND!
