This railway station sits on the line that heads towards Manchester in one direction, and heads towards guide bridge in the other. There is no way that disabled passengers can access this station as both platforms are accessible via steps only. There is no digital display board so it is a guessing game as to when the next train might arrive. There is also no bike rack. There is signage for closed circuit television although I couldn't see any at all. At least this station does have a covered waiting area on both platforms. Because of its location, there is no official parking areas here. If you want to drive to this station then you will have to leave your car somewhere nearby instead.
