The PayPal card readers some of the drivers use never work with Apple Pay. SumUp & other card machines work fine but this is like the 4-5th time I haven’t been able to use Apple Pay in the car. I’m so in the habit of using Apple Pay sometimes I forget the physical card, so it’s a real issue when the Apple Pay doesn’t work.

Well it's the inconsistencies in your driver's I use you at least once a week and I know how much the fare is never more than £9 some nights your driver's won't turn on the meter and try to charge me 15. So I was being generous with 4

All very polite, efficient, hard working, car very clean & hygienic, conversation was enjoyable & they all arrived on time. Booking through the app is very convenient & easy to do and it is excellent to get such a high standard of service from a first class local firm. Had to change bookings a couple of times (an unexpected and last minute change of hotel and then members of our party deciding to leave the venue we were attending a little earlier than planned). These requests were met with no fuss by 001, either initially when we phoned to make the changes, or at point of collect/drop off; in fact they couldn’t have been more helpful. Booked two taxis in advance via the website one on Thursday night another the next morning. I got a text message to confirm bookings. A further text to tell me when the cars had arrived at our hotel on both occasions the taxis arrived 5 minutes early and both cars were clean and tidy and both drivers were polite and professional. We travelled into the city and the journey took about 10 minutes and cost about £7 which we thought was very reasonable.

Great service over the past two days. All the drivers have arrived on time with no issues. On first journey, the driver even stopped at a cashpoint on the way to Churchill hospital as i had no cash. Very quick service. App is available which is quite handy but not always correct location wise. Cheaper than black cabs but drivers are unpredictable. I've had some drivers who have been great and have even helped me with bags and made sure I've got through the door if I'm travelling late at night. However, the driver I had yesterday kept spitting out of the window whilst driving - was pretty gross. Would still use them again as hopefully this driver was a one off.

We used 001 taxi service twice this evening. Our first journey was a delight, the gentleman was very friendly and we felt at ease. However our second journey was not as pleasant, the driver spoke very quietly and did not appear friendly or interested. He asked how we would like to pay and my husband explained he would prefer to pay via card like we did on our last journey. The driver responded why don't you have cash, to which we explained we paid via card on our first journey. The driver did not respond and then continued the rest of the journey in silence. If there is a next time I will ensure I request for any driver but the 2nd one we had this evening.

My husband and I use 001Taxi quite regularly, and 99% of the time everything goes well. Nice cars (often premium class without extra charge), good drivers, pretty much always on time. Couple of times (out of about a hundred times we used the service) the car was dispatched too late, so make sure to track it in case you need to catch a train. I still gave 5 star as in my case those were glitches, rather than a system. Last night had my first pick-up service from the airport (Gatwick) - premium car again, great driver, very polite and considerate, very smooth ride. Would recommend!

I've generally had a great experience with 001 Taxis when I've called, but I booked through the app for the first time (several days ahead) . At the time for which I had booked the taxi, they were still trying to assign me a driver, according to the app. The taxi ended up arriving 10 minutes late. Fortunately, I allowed plenty of time to arrive at the station and so was able to catch my train despite the delay. However, I do feel that when I make a booking in advance, I should be able to assume that the taxi will pick me up at the appointed time. Since posting the above, I've booked another taxi via the app and it all went very smoothly!

I love this service. The app makes it easy to use and easy to pay as you don’t need cash. Fares are very competitive and service H.S. been really reliable. There’s also an option to add a tip for the driver if desired. The in-app map lets you see where the driver is and it also alerts you to the car colour, number plate and driver name. I also like the pre-book option. Highly recommend.

We use this service quite often. The drivers are invariably great: courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. The app is easy to use, but it has a major problem: at busy times it tells you there are a certain no of minutes to wait, so you book, and then the estimated time goes by and you’re still waiting, so then you have to phone and the operator says there are currently no cars available, so then they offer to get you one but with another x-minute wait. This amounts to being tricked into placing a booking, and they need to address it.

Update: price has increased than a year ago. Thus not so keen to book as often as used to. Fast arrival within five minutes and having to take the back seat to minimize spread of covid19. Also drivers are wearing masks. Polite and not taking extra unnecessary roads.

I live in East Oxford and use this private hire service a lot. Their office is based in the city centre. Good prices and always reliable. Usually a quick response and they have helped me make it to Heathrow a couple of times when I was short of time They always text in advance to tell you the name and reg number of the taxi and driver responding, which makes me feel safe. Very good firm. Have been using them for over 20 years! App is useful too and you can now pay by card in some taxis if you don't have cash (I think).

Called them a few times while I was in Oxford. The drivers are nice and very honest. Had a miscommunication once that ended with me waiting at the wrong place for about 5-10 minutes. I mean, I'm not sure why the meter's started ticking before I even got on but after resolving the communication error the driver wouldn't accept the fares shown on meter and just took how much the trip would've cost without the wait. Know loads of taxi drivers who would be happy try and get away with charging "full price" so kudos to you my friend!

Fairly good service! Safe and reliable. Except slight issue when calling as student and using safe taxi service. Didn't have cash on me, and as I understood it, students are allowed to pay at brookes Union within 48hrs if no cash on hand is the case. Had to make an international banking transfer which cost me 3x the amount due to transfer fees. Usually a good experience. This one was not the best!

I have found that the app tends to be much slower than the phone-in option. I’ve also had to ask to leave a few bookings on account of exceptionally rude drivers, smoking in the car or unsafe driving practices.

I prebook taxis, it shows when they will arrive and you can track them on a map. Pay by card so no faffing with cash. I especially like that it tells you what car to look out for. Taxis are predominantly in reasonable shape with professional drivers who know the area. I think they offer value for money most of the time. I use the service frequently (around 6 times per week for my commute to Oxford Parkway station) and most of the time it is fine. I have had a few of bad experiences with the taxis turning up late (twice) or not at all (once). I recently ordered the executive service for a Heathrow run and the driver arrived with a battered Prius and then wanted to charge me for the fact that he had incurred some waiting time at the airport whilst I was collecting baggage, etc. I’ve never had that before with executive services. A few hiccups therefore but for moving locally the service is adequate and offers reasonable value for money.

And I was charged exactly what I was told I would be when booking over the phone - i.e. there was no confusion with the driver. 2. They set a realistic timeframe for when the minicab would arrive by. The driver infact arrived sooner than expected. 3. They use text message confirmations/updates and "track my taxi", so that you get confirmations of bookings, and you get a tracking of where the driver is so far.

Booked a taxi today (17 September) from Summertown to The Manor Hospital, Headington for a hospital appointment. The collecting driver (Irfan) was on time, courteous and helpful. Got us there smoothly and as quickly as possible given the traffic. As we didn't know how long we would be at the hospital, had to ring 001 for a return pick up at 5 pm. A driver (Carine) was sent straight away. She then kindly rang to explain that she was delayed in heavy traffic as there had been an accident on the ring road but was still there in under 15 minutes. She then took a good back route to Summertown to minimise traffic and got us home smoothly. Good, efficient, reliable and friendly service both ways. Highly recommended.
