Phoned this morning with a completely flat tyre. Paul (receptionist) went out of his way to give me a fair price and fit me in on a really busy day as car was unsafe to drive and Matthew (mechanic) was efficient and thorough. Both guys really friendly and helpful. I went this morning because it was close to home, I will go back for the friendly and efficient service. Definitely recommend.

Came in last week for a tire and ended up with all new ones and got my wheels straightened aswell and the boy who's done it (can't remember his name) has done an amazing job! He spent a lot of the day working on my car and it feels brand new again. He was quite tall, had lighter hair and a beard, was very smiley aswell

Hit a large pot hole this morning . 2 guys in a van kindly change to my spare. Got to work and foned halfords. A lovely gentleman Paul attended to me on the fone and booked me in for afternoon . The fellas in here are genuinely brand new. I wondered if the first time I used them a few months ago was a one-off, but apparently not. Despite it being extremely busy, they went out their way to help me get back on the road in no time at all. Paul on the counter spoke to two of the mechanics that were already busy (Regan and Stewart) to help my with a fixing that wouldn't budge on my car. Jack the manager made it seem like it wasn't a bother to them. Will absolutely use them again. It's no surprise to see why they're normally so busy - good garages are hard to come by. Thanks fellas.

Had a new steering rack fitted at a local garage around March 2021, but took it to McConechy's Halfords Autocentre for alignment - the track rod ends were adjusted without lossening the boots, which caused them to twist up resulting in seal damage and leakage. Claimed it must have been a faulty part or other damage and blamed the other party. Original garage confident that twisted boots would have caused the damage by being drawn into the seal. Having to repeat the job at a cost of ~£400. Edit 08/01/21 - Went along after fitting the second steering rack and the manager was apologetic about the situation and did the (second) re- alignment free of charge, which took the sting somewhat out an otherwise painful experience. Note I'm not clear on whether the twisted boot was directly responsible for the leak, but it was definately the cause of me not being able to go back to the original garage or the source of the replacement rack and demand a new rack.

My name is Patrick. I visited Halfords McConechys, Spiersbridge on Friday 11 June for an oil and filter change for my Vauxhall Astra. My car was booked in for a few hours, I was dealing with William and Jack, these guys were spot on, they helped me all the way by answering questions that I had additional to my oil and filter change. I'm not motor savvy and these two guys understood that, their patience and knowledge was a perfect 10/10. I must take this opportunity to advise that William and Jack are a fixed asset to this business. I've already mentioned this business to many of my family and friends. I will definitely be back.

I needed a slow puncture repaired and they squeezed me into an already busy day, just to get me back on the road. Also quoted me an excellent price for replacing three of my tyres, which I admit were a little overdue, and got me booked in for later that week. Brilliant, quick work, by whoever the mechanic was and fantastic customer service from Paul, who kept me regularly updated as to the progress and was very accommodating. Very easy to get to and staff fastidiuously obeyed all the current COVID-19 laws and guidlines. I will 100% be coming back next time I need anything done.

Went in fearing worst from undercar rattle and slow tyre leak. Boys in there fixed the heat shield for free, and only charged time to adjust tyre on wheel rim and fix the leak. Always polite and friendly service. Been going there for about 5 years now and get same good service everytime.

Booked my car in through a 3rd party app having ordered tyres online. They started fitting the tyres at the pre booked time and it took half an hour. The garage was very busy with many walk-in customers in the time I was there. Premises were easy to find and the waiting room was clean and tidy with free tea and coffee. Really helpful staff. Had 4 new tires fitted and a 4 wheel alignment done as the car is a 4x4 with air suspension. They've got the proper equipment for this type of vehicle and patiently answered all my questions. All work completed on time as booked. Tires were to be fitted to my summer wheels, which I left in the boot of the car and swapped with the winter set on the car at the time, so I was a little anxious that things might get muddled up. But Martin made sure everything went as hoped for and 90 mins later the car was ready with my winter wheels all in the boot. They even asked if I wanted one of the old winter tires back, which had some life left in it. This branch is local to me, but I'll be using them again for tire fitting and possibly other work for their great customer service. Got a good deal on tìres incl. fitting and disposal of old tires through black circles with Mcconechys as the fitter.

I had ordered online tyres to be delivered into the Speirsbridge branch. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong tyres ! But the guys there , starting with Neil, were great and sorted me out. Next issue was a wheel nut that wouldn’t tighten. At this point, knowing NTS and Kwik Fit etc, I was expecting hassle , but again the guys were great. I thanked the guys and spoke to the manager William, who said, that he had a great team which he was delighted with. I’m quick to complain, so feel that I should also be quick to praise. 5 out of 5 guys Senior Management, take note, this should be your blueprint

Absolutely amazing service. Called late in the day to say I had an issue with my tyre and asked if there was any way at all they could help before the closed at 5.30pm. On my way home tonight my heater started blowing cold air and engine temperature started to rise. I pulled into mcconechys spiersbridge thornliebank to check water and coolant levels. William checked levels and found them empty and realised that a recently fitted water pipe had not been installed correctly by another garage. He quickly reattached hose correctly and topped up water and coolant levels. This service along with Williams friendliness and attitude was amazing, without this I would have probably been sitting with an overheated engine and a huge repair bill.
