Took my car here to have a gearbox issue diagnosed. It needed the clutch and actuator replacing, was a good price compared to main dealer. I ended up having discs, pads and full service done whilst here and now my car is good to go and trouble free. Would fully recommend this garage, very good pricing and excellent customer service.

I rarely leave a review for anything, but after my recent experience with Gladstone I feel more than happy to take a few minutes to share my experience. I only wish I had given them a try before, they are excellent. The price I paid for repairs was the best I could find. Advised me against having an unnecessary job done which saved me a further £60. Communication was first class, thank you Chris. Picked my car up and dropped it off, no charge for this service. Got me booked in at short notice. I couldn't be happier. Suffice to say I've found my new go to garage.

Excellent warranty repair service from Gladstones which rectified the oil leak on my Ford Focus. Initially went to my local Stoneacre Ford in Thirsk who 'couldn't be bothered' to progress my warranty claim and simply sat on it unactioned for four weeks. After complaining about this poor service my warranty company sent me to Gladstones who were the complete opposite - proceeding to immediately diagnose the fault, confirm the claim costs, gain approval for the work from the warranty company and complete the repair in less than two weeks. Although I've never used Gladstones before I've been very impressed with their customer care - particularly from John on reception who was excellent throughout - and so will consider using them for any future works needed on my car.

After breaking down on the way to a short holiday in York we arranged to have our car taken here for a new clutch. We had a terrible time with the RAC recovering the vehicle taking a number of days to get it to the garage. However throughout this waiting period and once it arrived at the garage every staff member we spoke to was dedicated to helping us get our car fixed as soon as possible for us. They assisted us with further issues that arose and were professional and sympathetic about our circumstances at all times and gave us confidence our car was in a good garage. Upon collecting the vehicle staff were friendly and the repair has been undertaken to a great standard.

Went to several garages in York to get a valve and sensor fitted to my car, struggled for same day service and wouldn’t allow me to use my own Ford issue replacement. That is until I called Gladstone garage, they invited me straight round and fitted it while I waited. Had my MOT done here last Saturday through the AA smartcare scheme. They were extremely friendly. Got on with the job efficiently and effectively in a short amount of time. When there was an issue that needed fixing they told me straight up with no beating around the Bush which I really respect. They also spoke to me with respect which is something younger drivers don't get with garages as others who I have being to in the past spoke down to me and patronised me. Staff are very helpful for anything I thoroughly recommend using this garage.

Realised that the MOT on my wife's car needed doing the day before it was due to expire. Booked online with Gladstone for the next day with no issues. They collected and returned the car from our house for free and even cleaned the car for no extra cost. Highly recommended and will use again.

I have taken my jag to them for MOT and full service and I'm extremely happy with their value and quality. Friendly staff and professional mechanics who don't try to rip you off. I will definitely go there in the future and highly recommend this place.

I had my vehicle MOT'd at Gladstone Garage for only £26 - half the price of the standard fee. It was very easy to book it online via the AA Smartcare system. Payment was organised but not taken till after the MOT had been carried out. Though parking can be a little tight staff were on site to help me park in the most suitable place. The waiting area is smart and comfortable and all COVID restrictions were adhered to including a very clean toilet. Free coffee is available too. They also carried out a mini-valet that included steam cleaning both the exterior and interior of my car. This, I assume, is even more vital because it allegedly kills bacteria too as well as making my car smell fruity. All in all, very professional service that is half the price plus a mini-valet thrown in for free. Highly recommended and will use them again.
