Alhamdulillah I went to perform umrah in February 2022with my family. Masha Allah brother Arif amazing tour guides. In fact they were like family,due to the way they treated us. We were educated from the start of our holy journey until the end, they made it a memorable one for us. A very organised and professional company. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone. Asalamualaykum My husband and I went to perform our Hajj with Al-makkawi Travels. We had the best experience of our lives. Brother Arif was wonderful and very accommodating, he made sure all the pilgrims were well looked after and informed us all of the activities that were to take place during our Hajj. Furthermore, we had Brother Hadi who was a knowledgeable scholar informing us of what to pray and when to pray which was very helpful and beneficial. Finally, you won’t regret booking your travels with Al-makkawi, they are professional, reliable and trustworthy. They have a lot of experience and I hope I will be going with them again soon inshaAllah!

I couldn't have asked for a better service, Al-Makkawi was exceptional in providing me and my family with transport and more when we went Saudi to carry out Umrah. The review saying that Educational Hajj & Umrah and this are the same, it's complete and absolute nonsense. I am giving this company 5 stars simply because they gave everything they promised and so much more. Not only did we get from A to B smoothly and on time whenever we travelled, but the staff who were travelling with us ensured we were at all times comfortable and doing well. They also gave us very useful advice and explained the rituals of Umrah very well, as well as giving additional Islamic facts and details about the history of Islam, making the whole experience even more insightful. Allah is my witness when I say they did a brilliant job in providing their services for me and my family, we were more than content. They even upgraded our flight for free, for the amount we paid, it was more than worth it. The criticisms being made by the other review are about the services provided by the Hajj ministry, not Al-Makkawi, it was out of their hands. The staff were most definitely friendly and took great care of us. I highly recommend Al-Makkawi to all you brothers and sisters for the services they provide as promised and more for a great value.

Masha Allah went for Umrah in April and it was an amazing experience. I thought it would be hard but brother Arif made it so easy I loved every moment. He is the best teacher you can every have, he made the whole journey and memory for life. The experience was beautiful words can not express. The best decision we made! Allhamdulliah we preformed our first umrah with Al Makawi travel. From the get go, all the staff were very friendly and helpful whilst we were booking. Al Makawi then arranged a pre umrah seminar in which they explained each step in detail and allowed us to ask any questions. This was fantastic as it gave us all a better understanding on how to perform umrah correctly. Whilst preforming our umrah, Br Arif ensured that all duas needed were read to us. He was also there at any time for assistance throughout the 10 days. Thank you to Br Arif for his excellent hospitality and making this experience memorable. Went Hajj with Al Makawwi last year and I have to say I had the best possible experience. Brother Arif pulls all stops to make sure everyone is at ease and their only concern is their ibadat. I highly recommend this travel agency and if I were to ever go Hajj again it will be a no brainier.

Just got back from Hajj which was organised by AlMakkawi Travel. From the initial contact with Sister Shazia to Dr Arif helping with my passport difficulties to Br.Hashim being our guide, first class service! There is a very well organised seminar led by imams and doctors which break the whole journey down. We were also provided with complimentary bags and ihram but ample support prior to travel. Br.Hasim met us at the airport and was by our side at every point in our journey, assisting, motivating and just being there for us when we needed him. The sisters were supported by Sister Zainab who was also very helpful. I was told by several people how difficult the journey is and how the travel companies just leave you out there to fend for yourself, but this was the exact opposite. A real family feel from the go until the last suitcase is picked up from the airport. A massive thank you to the staff here and in Saudi for all your support. You made our Hajj a truly memorable experience. May Allah bless the efforts of all the staff involved.

I have gone to Hajj with this company previously MA they were so good I not only referred people to use it; I myself am now going again with them. Alhamdulilah they are very organised, warm and caring. The environment they provide is amazing I had previously gone to hajj twice with other providers but it did not feel the same as this. At AlMakkawi it feels like you are part of a family. The guides are all well versed and know what they are doing with plenty of experience under their belts. May Allah ease for them their work and help them gain every success in this life and the hereafter.

Every Haji will have different expectations from Hajj and indeed travel agents. Reflecting back, on our experience, i could comfortably say that AlMakkawi tried to look after us as much as possible and on a level, where we feel (my husband included) quite comfortable with our choice of travel agent. Masha Allah brother Arif and his son Faris are amazing tour guides. In fact they were like family,due to the way they treated us. Alhamdu-Lillah, performed Hajj in the past with Al-Makkawi and now Umrah alongside my family (small children/ elderly mother) with the help of Allah (swt) brother Arif has been extremely helpful making whole of our journey from start to finish very comfortable indeed, he is not only good tour guide but Alhamdu-Lillah a great person with always a smile on his face and he has very polite team here and in Saudi, He is fluent in Arabic language so no language barrier whilst you there, helps you to perform the rituals of Umrah according to Quran and Sunnah, Insha-Allah I will certainly travel with them again...

I have just returned from Hajj with Al Makkawi (economy package) and alhamdulillah it was a brilliant experience. I'll give a brief low down on the journey: - they undersold, over delivered - Br Arif (owner of the company) was born and raised in Makkah so knows the language and city well. He has many family members who get involved during hajj to ensure it is a smooth experience - Economy package comes with 2 meals per day on the non-hajj days, however they still provided 3 meals every day - I stayed in the Aziziya apartment which is only a 35-45 mins walk from the Haram or a 7-10 minute drive - the apartments are spacious and it's only 3-4 people per bathroom which is a very manageable number. family rooms have their own bathrooms. - the guides and well experienced who know what they're doing and are always available to speak to for advice - we had a scholar (Maulana Hadi) with us on the days of Hajj, delivering reminders after every prayer and he was available for any queries - they also bought in scholars prior to Hajj to give us a motivational boost and to go through what to do on Hajj - Arif's brother attends the abattoir to ensure all qurbanis are actually undertaken - they take you in different groups to undertake your hajj/ummrah, or they allow you to do your own thing - the days of hajj were easy - sofa beds in mina and air conditioned tents; air conditioned tents in arafat with a mat and cushions; you take this mat with you to muzdalifa and so making the night that little easier

Have done my ummrah visa and flight booking here, Shame everything else was fine apart from few issues around pricing. Ended up paying higher than I was quoted.
