Amy @ Adventures Scotland planned our recent tour of the NC500. After getting an understanding of what we wanted to do (and that we were bringing our dog) she planned our itinerary (things to do/see, walks, travel times between destinations), booked our accomodation and places to eat in the evening. Prior to our departure - in addition to our electronic copy - we were provided with a hard copy of our itinerary, a lovely touch. Additionally all of the walks Amy had recommend were included in our complimentary FatMap hiking app. Our dog friendly accomodation was great throughout our trip, everything from country houses, traditional B&Bs to boutique hut. The common factor was the wonderful welcome we received from our hosts. Our itinerary allowed us to focus on the stunning scenery and allowed us to explore the landscape rather than feeling that we were under time pressure to get from location. We have such wonderful memories from our tour and I wouldn't hesitate using Adventures Scotland again given their understanding of what Scotland can offer as a destination, their planning of itineraries and their excellent approach to their clients.

Amy & Tom planned our tour to Arran and Islay from A to Z. After they got a deep understanding of what we wanted to do and experience, they planned our itinerary - Places and attractions to visit, hikes, travel times between destinations, etc. They also booked amazing accommodations for us, part of the ferry rides, and places to eat in the evening. Additionally, all of the hikes recommended were included in our complimentary FatMap hiking app. Thanks to @Adventures_Scotland we had an amazing vacation.

We just got back from two weeks in Scotland and had an amazing time. Amy was incredible! She very patiently helped us create a very detailed customized itinerary that included car rental, our route, accommodations, hikes and sights to see each day, and even dinner reservations at the best restaurants in each place. This would have taken months for me to do on my own and was well worth the cost!

Amy planned my trip according to my wish to have a road trip up to Isle of Skye. She accommodated my requests for further route-related information which was super helpful. My flight was unfortunately delayed and she tried her best to make sure I had a place to stay while in Glasgow. I had a great time in Portree, Glencoe and Glasgow. The accommodation booked were cozy and comfortable. We also looked forward to dinner as the restaurants recommended served warm and delicious food.Thank you Amy and Adventures-Scotland!

Booked a guide from Adventures Scotland with a friend for an introduction to Ski Touring. Our guide Tom was knowledgable, patient and we were well looked after the full day at Ben Lawers / Meall Corranaich. Finished the day with a grounding in backcountry skinning, avalanche awareness, use of transceiver and OS map reading. Would definitely book a guide from this company again, and looking forward to the next outing!

In a nutshell, Adventures Scotland provided an excellent tailored active holiday service to our family of four (parents + two young adults), way beyond our expectations, prepared to perfection, accompanying us at every step, listening to what each of us has and hasn’t said. This was by far the best way we could taste Scottish Highlands in a week. Exploring the Trossachs and Pertshire by canoeing, tour and mountain biking, hiking, water rafting and gorge canyoning, we had it all fitted within our 5 day/6 night schedule. It was intensive and exhilarating for all of us, it was lots of fun. It allowed us to immerse ourselves in the nature of Scottish Highlands and get nurtured with absolutely beautiful breathtaking sceneries. Accompanied by our guide Tom and his passionate and rich narrative about surroundings, geology, plants and wildlife we saw, as well as local history, culture, legends and customs. Every step of the way Tom showed passion and caring about nature and the environment, things we saw, showed endless patience in dealing with our questions and requests. Pre-arranged/recommended accommodation and restaurants, excellent staff and service, we couldn’t fault it, all at high standard and good value. We are now set to be back and properly explore outer Hebrides, with Adventures Scotland guiding hand :)

I travelled with Tom to Isle of Skye, Glencoe and Cairngorms earlier this month. It was an incredible experience and something that I recommend people to go ahead plan. Tom just knows every street, locality, restaurant etc across the length and breadth of Scotland and it was a joy to travel with him. He helped us experience the raw beauty of Scotland and it was an experience I will never forget. We started from Edinburg and travel on Tom’s car to Cairngorms of the first day. The next 2 days we spent in Portree in the Isle of Skye. What an incredible experience that was. I wish I could explain. Finally we came to Glencoe on the fourth day to spend the night there and then returned to Edinburg for our train back to London the next day. All the B&Bs were excellent and I can’t praise Tom enough for that. Overall thanks Tom and the whole Adventures Scotland group for this wonderful experience.

I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Amy at Adventures Scotland. I enquired about completing the North Coast 500 trip in March to complete in peak season. They listened intently to what sort of trip I would like and tailored the entire adventure. My parents joined me as we travelled around and I don't think I have ever heard my dad exclaim before about anything that this trip was 'worth the money and more'. Coming from him that is high praise indeed! Tom and Amy provided us with a personal guide book, a zoom meeting and were available via email. During the trip they checked in to see how we were doing without micromanaging. It was incredibly well organised with built in flexibility. I am beyond impressed with Adventures Scotland and have been recommending them to all of my friends and colleagues.

I was a part of a group of 4 who took part in a 5 day mountain biking trip delivered by Tom (adventure Scotland). From the beginning to the end, Tom was very accommodating, professional and down to earth. He tailored the sessions perfectly to our skill set. The mountain biking he delivered had a fine balance of challenge and fun, while keeping safety a top priority. Toms choice of venues were awesome, picturesque and unforgettable. Backed up with his local knowledge, along with knowledge of the flora and fauna, Tom made the trip engaging from start to finish. Engaging, fun, knowledgeable, safe and down to earth. I was so pleased with my trip organised by Adventures Scotland. I knew very little about the Scottish Highlands and was conscious I needed expert advice. What I received went beyond my expectations. Every aspect of the trip was planned in detail. Timings were accurate and days in the itinerary were just perfectly full with activity. Walking activities were largely dummy proof with the recommended app and routes provided though if I had travelled in group I would certainly have wanted to tap into the guiding option to be fully immersed in the landscapes around me. Having bed and board fully booked ahead for me was a huge stress reliever and the value of the local knowledge of where to stay and where to eat was really evident. All in the format worked perfectly for me and the service supplied was great value from a truly knowledgeable team who have clearly actually travelled the route. Can't wait to book again. Thankyou for a wonderful first trip north of the border Adventures Scotland.

We went as a family of 4 to explore Mallaig and surrounding areas. We had a fabulous time and Tom our guide made it extra special! He was able to take us to some amazing beaches, on great walks and his knowledge of the area was really beneficial. Tom also introduced us to the local bakery and fish market so the food was fresh and delicious. We can’t recommend Adventure Scotland enough 👍🏻😁

First time with Adventures Scotland and can say that they are fab! From the beginning of my query and the seeds of an idea the communication and help from Amy was second to none right through to the holiday. We booked a camper van originally going on the route 500 but changed our mind and went to Loch Ness and the Cairngorms instead. That’s the best thing about this company is that you can tailor your holiday to anything you want, they also give you walking routes (if you want them) with an app so you don’t get lost. They will book you restaurants or B&B’s too! We had no problems from start to finish and would definitely recommend them. See you soon!
