I travelled with Ahmed Tour this year for Umrah and Hajj on a 3week 5* shifting package. Allhumdullilah I had a really good experience from start till the very end. Location of the 5* hotel in Makkah (Swiss al Maqamam) was great - max 5minwalk to the Haram. Ahmed Tours reps were available throughout the entire journey. The team was very well staffed with a mix of Urdu, English and Bengali speaking reps and Imaams which was very helpful to accommodate all those who travelled with them. Coach transfers during the journey went relatively smoothly (I appreciate there were times when there were delays due to congestion/heavy rainfall/ restrictions placed by the Hajj Ministry) all of which was expected (other than the rainfall) and I was patient - you need lots of this! All the coaches I had used looked new/relatively new and had AC and a Ahmed Tours rep was always onsite with us. Communication through the journey was informative and helpful. We were joined to a WhatsApp group where updates for respective hotel were posted. Group tours were arranged in Makkah and Madina. Prominent sites where shown and explained to us which was great. Was nice that the group tours was broken into Bengali/English/Urdu speaking groups to accommodate all those who had attended. Food was really good throughout the journey. For me personally, the food in out Azzizzya apartment was the best from all three stays. It was mainly Asian cuisines. The quality and quantity of food available was excellent and for anyone travelling with parents or older relatives who enjoy this type of cuisine will be pleased. The tents in Mina was sufficient –just to remind everyone this isn’t a luxury holiday. It’s Hajj so expectations should be lowered. They had air cooling and fans and speakers were installed so we could listen to any talks/pray in jamaat led by Ahmed Tours imams/reps. Our 5* hotel (Eiman Royal) and the food in Madina was really nice and very closely located to the Prophets (pbuh) mosque, literally a 3min walk. Group tours were arranged to show us different sites in and around the grounds of the mosque and coaches were arranged to take us to other prominent sites such as the Quba Masjid/Mount Uhud/Qiblatayn Masjid etc. We were also taken to the Quran Museum and had a great guide! I didn’t get a chance but I was told the Prophet’s mosque museum was really good! I came here to perform umrah and hajj and knew this wasn’t a holiday. I had a very comfortable experience and always reminded myself if ever I had a hard day due to delays or longer wait times – there were plenty of others hujjaj from all over the world who had it tougher/may not have had AC in their tents or didn’t have pre-arranged coaches to take you from place to place e.g. Mina tents back to Azzizya apartments and Muzdalifah back to Azzizya apartments whereas we did (alhumdulillah). I kept this in mind always and really helped when plans didn’t go accordingly. You have to use your initiative when on Hajj and do your research! I would recommend Ahmed Tours for anyone thinking about performing Umrah/Hajj. . Thank you Ahmed Tours! Aysha

Great experience on my first ever Umrah. After speaking to the team on the phone in December I already knew I wanted to go with them. They are very professional alhamdulliah, from the moment I made the booking until the moment I reached Makkah I received constant emails from them. I think they are the cheapest company in the market for 5 star umrah packages, I paid £800 and had Swissotel in Makkah and Crowne Plaza in Madinah also flights with Lebanon airlines. My name is Razi Shahid. This was my first time and I am really impressed the way this company served us. According to their calculations they served for more than 400 pilgrims and to manage these numbers absolutely isn't an easy job but they made it very easy. The reason behind this is that they are serving since many many years and every year they are improving better and better. Obviously as a human you can still make mistakes and this is what we need to learn and show some patience specially when we are going to perform Hajj. My package was 4 weeks, in which first 9 days I stayed in 5 Stars Swiss Hotel in the Clock Tower. Then 3 days before Hajj and 2 days after Hajj they arranged economy rooms in Aziziya with 3 times meal in a day. Then we had 7 nights stay in 5 Stars Al-Eman Royal Hotel in Medina. All their staff were very friendly and co-operative. I would definitely choose them again. Thank you Ahmed Travel for making my travel memorable. Jazakallah.

All transport was all arranged for and the brother Bilal in saudi was there to personally welcome us, provided an excellent ziyarat and handled all our affairs in Saudi. Alhamdulliah I was lucky enough to preform my Hajj this year. I travelled with Ahmed Travel on the their non shifting package for 3 weeks. I am very pleased with the service they have provided from start until end. Please do not be falsely alarmed by the hate reviews listed below as I witnessed first hand how certain individuals threatened, intimated and manipulated members of Ahmed Travel staff when things did not go their way - May Allah guide us all. Here is an extensive summary of my trip with them. 1. Pre Hajj The communication received by the team has been phenomenal from the day I had made the booking. I was added onto a Whatsapp group and received weekly messages regarding my booking, additionally SMS messages from HajUpdates. We were invited to a very well organised Hajj seminar at the East London Mosque a week prior to our departure, it lasted pretty much the entire day. All aspects of the package were explained in detail from the Imam. A few days before departing, I was invited to their office to collect my passports and Haj documents. I was really impressed by how organised they were. They did everything very professionally and noted down telephone numbers for my next of kin in the UK and provided me a legally binding contract and ATOL certificate. I was also given some goodies (backpack, brolly, pen, luggage belts etc..) which came in very handy on the Haj trip. The flights were with Saudia Airlines, the team were already present at the airport when we arrived and welcomed us very graciously and accompanied us until we reached Jeddah. 2. Arrival in Makkah / Hotel Upon arriving in Makkah we were taken to hotel situated roughly 10 minutes away from the Haram shareef. The hotel was standard Saudi Arabian budget economy. It was fairly crowded with other hajis from Pakistan however the team did their best to accommodate us as soon as possible. The rooms were nothing special, however I knew this would be the case when i made the booking. The rooms were huge, with 5 beds inside we still has space to pray and walk around. The bathrooms were decent however we did have to push the hotel staff to clean it once in a while - however this was not the fault of the tour operator. I was amazed by the food options provided by Ahmed Travel. We had a buffet style meal 3 times a day. The food mainly consisted of curry which was freshly cooked and warm. They had staff present in the cafeteria during meal times. I realised most of the hajis that came with Ahmed Travel where Bangladeshi or Pakistani hence the consistency with Asian food. 3. Hajj service On the days of Haj the team where very organised and ran a tight ship led by Imam sab and his son. They had an hour long seminar training us on what will happen on the hajj days in the hotel a day before we left. We were taken by coach into Mina and were allocated a bed by the staff. The tents were air conditioned and we had a thick bed to sleep on. The conditions were a little cramped however I soon realised this was the case for everyone. We where given warm food in sealed bags 3 times a day from Ahmed Travel. Like i mentioned before they ran a very professional operation, everything was done according to the Haj Ministry and on time. We had bus transport on the days of Haj, we were taken to rami jamarat by foot escorted by ahmed travel staff and then we where shuttled by bus back to our hotels to do Umrah and then by bus back to Mina. 4. Staff The team at Ahmed Travel consist of very young and dynamic brothers who are all multilingual. They were always visible in the hotel and on the hajj days. Brother Tameem, Zakaria, Faizal, Shaheen, Zain and Dawood did an excellent job facilitating everything and making the trip easy for everyone. The team in Saudi who spoke very little english did an excellent job too. Overall, my experience with this company has been amazing, I cannot thank them enough for making my Hajj this easy. I would not hesitate to recommend them to family members. I wish them all the best for the future.

I would like to say, a big thank you to Ahmed tours for their 5 * excellent customer service, they really excel in the Hajj packages and gave us more than we expected. Tamim, Zak, Bilal, Shahid, Dawood, Faisal, Montri and many more staff on hand to assist at any time 24/7. I chose a economy package, 5 sharing and was very happy with it all to be honest, Al Haram was near, shops close by, all amenities were basically and hands reach. While we slept the organisers were working, you could see how tired they were from their faces but they kept going on. ماشاءالله Masha’Allah. The complimentary bus service on 10 Dhul Hijjah was brilliant, all the other people I know who booked with different organisers had to walk the journey from Jamaraat to Makkah and then back to Mina Tents. There were things that the organisers weren’t in control of such as coach timings etc but it wasn’t like we waited 3-4 hours for coaches, it would be like 30 minutes late or early etc. the memory I will keep in my mind is a positive one considering how many pilgrims attend Hajj on an annual basis. We had an experience of a life time with our Hajj journey and as I said before the family owned business had their hand in this from the start, giving us messages via WhatsApp, keeping our loved ones updated back in London. Ziyarat, transport, mobile sims were arranged, the pebbles were arranged, fruit and food and bus service from jamaarat back to Makkah was arranged (which no one else provides). The group leader's were very polite, always ready to help with any queries or problem. The communication with whatsup every step of the way was brilliant . The hotels,Arafat tents,musdhalifa,minna,Azizia flats, couch trsnfers was excellently organized. I have to mention a few names that stood up for me. My group leader Faisal was wonderful and very caring. He guided us from Heathrow airport to Macca always asking if we were alright. He was excellent during the jamarats and the ziyaras. He was very polite and bade farewell to us when leaving madina. Ahmed Tours is lucky to have him. Zahin was always smiling and very professional. Extremely polite and very helpful. He took care of my paperwork and explained the whole hajj journey before we travelled. At a tender age of 21 I think he is integral in Ahmed tours group. Zakkaria was brilliant with the ziyaras. He guided the group's and took his time explaining abouts the sites. He was professional and kind. May Allah put more Baraka in Ahmed tours and travel Ameen. We as family members were highly worried for their welfare as none of us could go with them but Alhamdulliah the brothers at Ahmed Tours kept us informed of every step of their journey. I would highly recommend Ahmed Tours and Travels to anyone looking to perform Hajj or Umrah. They provided exceptional customer service and went over and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Staff worked around the clock and customer service was available 24/7. A WhatsApp group was made to provide us with information about our next steps so we could prepare beforehand. Everything they said they'd provide they provided. All staff were well mannered, competent, friendly and reassuring. We had no issues in terms of hotels, food etc. Our stay in aziziyah was great and we had daily coaches that would take us to the haram. The team provided us with hajj seminars before and during the days of hajj. This was of great help and kept everyone motivated. On the 10th of Dhul Hijjah they provided us with an extra coach service so we did not need to walk from jamarat to aziziyah apartment. All coaches were clean and had AC. Not only did we have walking tours around the Haram and Masjid Nabwi, we also had ziyarats in both Makkah and Madinah. We visited Masjid Quba, Qiblatain, Mount Uhud and more. The visits were not rushed, we had plenty of time to pray salaah at the masjids. The team also organised visits to museums in Makkah and Madinah which were led by guides. Here we had the opportunity to learn about the Sahabahs and how the Qur'an was compiled. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

I went on Hajj 2019 with Ahmed Tours (AT) & had my first ever experience in Saudi – Alhamdhullilah it was an amazing one. AT provided a lot of support, providing information on Whatsapp/SMS before the start of our journey & regularly giving updates. My stay was a 3-week 5* shifting package which meant I stayed in Makkah, Aziziyah & Medina. Makkah Here I stayed in Swiss Al Maqqam 5* hotel. AT caveated that the star ratings are different from the UK but the hotel was nice enough. A lot of people were expecting an extremely lavish hotel but forgot this point from AT. I felt it was as nice as some of the upmarket hotels I've stayed in in the UK. It was very clean & adequate for me. I was sharing with 3 other people & the rooms were cleaned every day & had AC. The best part was that it was extremely close to the Haram (3-min walk). Aziziyah In Aziziyah AT had their own tower block. Each room had 4 people with 2 toilets (UK & South Asian). Personally, I enjoyed the stay here the most as it prepared me for Mina & was more social so people could easily meet in the common areas. I met a lot more brothers here which was the best part. Everyone should note that Aziziyah is obviously not going to be 5* - Aziziyah does not have many 5* hotels so to expect this is unrealistic. I have OCD so my only requirements are that I have a clean room & bed - AT provided this so I had no complaints. The food in Aziziyah was mostly South Asian. We had a mixture of curries, daal, rice & rotis. This was because the majority of Hujjaj in this group were of this ethnicity so catering to other tastes might've been difficult. That being said, it could be relatively easy for AT to get some English items like beans, omelettes etc. & hopefully this is something they'll do going forward. Mina Mina is a tent city & almost ALL the tents are identical in terms of quality. I had 3 friends with different tours who said the same. These days are generally the hardest as space/privacy is limited and nearly *everyone* in Mina will be experiencing the same. The only difference was the Air Conditioning & Air Cooling in the tents. We had the latter which was not as powerful as Air-Con which made it uncomfortable at some points. AT did say they were looking to upgrade the tents in the future so hopefully this is something that will be implemented. Food in Mina consisted of curries or other vacuum packed foods. Tea & coffee was provided outside tents which was great. Mina is the hardest part of Hajj however AT did everything to accommodate their Hujjaj. Medina Our final stay was in Medina - we stayed at Al Eiman Royal 5* which was excellent. We were about 5 min walk from Masjid Nabawi. Our time in Medina was more relaxed, with excellent food options included from Ahmed Tours (2 meals a day). Overall Ahmed Tours provided what they promised. The coaches for our journeys were well equipped, staff were present when needed & the whole Hajj experience went very smoothly for me. Brother Zahin was particularly good. They also provide extra goodies like backpacks, umbrellas, books which were invaluable. Everything was run professionally & promptly even given the fact that it was extremely busy. I thank all the team & would recommend them. A final word of advice. Hajj is a sacred rite of passage for Muslims. It is not a holiday so you should not expect it to be as such. There are 3 million people that go every year with people competing for space, time & resources. Every year facilities improve so it’s important to be grateful for such things. The Prophet (SAW) did this without all the luxuries of today yet many people complain that they didn’t have a “continental breakfast”. Of course, everyone’s experience with AT is different but go with the right intention & look at the bigger picture. What a shame it would be to go to Hajj & gain nothing but bruised feet & a tan. May Allah (SWT) accept all our duas, my Hajj & the Hajj of all the pilgrims. Ameen.

Ahmed Tours requested a review from us. We are very happy with our Hajj, everything promised, delivered. The best thing is guides were always present, and there were lots of lectures. Met a lot of people from different backgrounds and it was really good. We had African, indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistan, Mauritius, Afghan, a very rich mix of people.

I want to begin by thanking the team for making my first hajj a great and memorable experience. I would recommend them to any of my friends/family looking to go for hajj/umrah. Benefits: 1) Great team, very organised and hard-working. Every brother/sister from the group were always very helpful and took great care of us. They were easy to reach when needed, either someone was at the hotel or easy to call. There was also a WhatsApp group which provided us with regular updates throughout the journey. A special thank you to Brother Montri and Brother Shahed (Makkah hotel) who always went above and beyond and looked out for my parents. It’s important that future hajjis accept and appreciate that they will invariably face some form of difficulty/hardship in their journey. However, I feel that the organisers did their very best to resolve any problems we brought to their attention. 2) The provision of coaches for nearly all the major journeys. The group did very well to try to facilitate coaches whenever possible. On the main hajj days we had coaches from Makkah to Mina tents, Mina to Arafaat, Arafaat to Muzdalifah, Muzdalifah back to Mina, and most importantly Mina to Makkah on 11th Dhul-Hijjah. Delays will happen, but there is only so much the team can do and have control over. Anytime we were waiting for coaches we were in the comfort of our hotel rooms and were kept updated. 3) Good food and always a supply of drinks/tea/coffee. My family and I felt the food at both hotels was very good, varied and filling. Improvements 1) I would have loved to have given a 5/5 rating but unfortunately I feel the standard and cleanliness of the non-shifting Makkah hotel was not great. The rooms were quite dusty, the bathroom needed another once over with the cleaning, there were some leaky pipes and not all bedsheets had been changed. These are all very easy and quick things to address, which once we got the handy-man to sort out was fine. However, these things should have been identified and sorted out before our arrival. Hopefully, the team will pay more attention to this next time as I feel it will make a big difference to everyone’s stay. Otherwise, the room was very spacious with decent A.C and a working fridge-freezer. The location of the hotel was convenient, approx 10-15min walk to Haraam. Overall, a great team and many unforgettable memories made. Thank you.

Alhamdullah very good experience with Ahmed tours. Brother Tamim gave me a very good deal . I took my family for 6 days 5 star Makkah and 5 star Madinah - direct flight with Saudi air lines . My best experience ever . Specially brother Billal in Saudi helped a lot . He was carrying my 2 years old son during tawaf and sayee . Amazing character . May Allah bless this brother. I had a very pleasant experience from start to finish. I was sceptical at first regarding the tourist Visas but turns out this is standard practice for the time being. All said the rest went fine from transport to Hotel accommodation. Bilal bahi contacted us and advised us of our transport and hotel accommodation. The company overall I would give 4.8 out of 5 stars. I would definitely be using Ahmed Tours again and recommend them to others.

5 Start 3 Week Shifting Package ONLY I will post a detailed version on other sites. This is just a summary due to word limit. Review: First thing you must understand is that this package is slightly on the economical(budget) side of 5 star shifting packages which is reflected in the price. Therefore you need to have realistic expectations. They seemed reasonably organised. I saw them working very hard in arranging transportation, managing luggage and checking people-in for which I applaud their effort. It seemed that they were making effort, especially during Hajj days. They provided what they promised on paper which was the biggest risk for me and met majority of my expectations. However, despite their claims of decades of experience, I feel that they need to seriously improve their communication (more status of thing) and basic customer service. Hajj Seminar- Very well organised. I encourage you to attend as it was very helpful. Food was served and the event was also live streamed. Indirect Flights- It varies by package. We got Aegean Airlines -5.5 hr transit. This was a budget airline with no halal or vegetarian option in the first leg of the journey (unless notified then 48 hours in advance). This was below expectations. Return was Saudi Airline which was much better. Swissotel Mekkah – As promised – excellent. Transfer to Aziziya – This took a long time (almost the full day) for reasons, I believe, beyond Ahmed Tour’s control. However, they seemed active and could be seen trying their best. Aziziya Apartments- Location: At the far end of Aziziya (Al Sanusi Mosque). 2 issues: getting to and from Haram was relatively more expensive and time consuming. Secondly, walking to your apartment during Jamarat is not possible as it is too far away. Getting to Haram – The free service (not part of package) was poor so better off using taxis. Please bear the location of Aziziya in mind when you are comparing packages and their prices. North Aziziya location should be preferred when comparing packages. Apartment details: Very basic but reasonably clean. 5 people in our room. Army style metal UK single bed size. At least 2 rooms shared one bathroom in our section. No Towels/ toiletries provided (soap only). NO WIFI. Room allocation: Random every time which was frustrating. Upon request, they swapped people to match previous allocation in Aziziya only. Meals: Breakfast was basic. Lunch/Dinner were basic buffet (Bangla cuisine mostly- curry, vegetable, rice, desert). Quantity was decent. Team/Coffee available. It was okay. Hygienically, okay. Hajj Days Very well managed. Facilities in Mina/Arafat/Muzdalifa are provided by Hajj Ministry. They provided transport from Jamarat to Aziziya to Mecca to Mina. They repeatedly promoted it as ‘extra favour’. I didn’t use it but feedback was okay. Madinah The transfer to Madinah was okay. Very nice upgraded buses (for free). Dar-al-Eimaan Hotel as promised. Ziarat Tours They provided walking and bus tours in both Madinah and Mekkah. Those were okay. As they have to move with a large group, the pace can be understandably slow. Avoid if you can and do your own. Staff and communication The staff were friendly. We were notified of key messages through the whatsapp group which was great. However, I felt that the communication of ‘status’ of things was not adequate. Also, they didn't stick to timings they promised majority of the time. BOTTOMLINE! – Will I book again with Ahmed Tours? Probably NO. This is primarily because of Aziziya location, and random room allocations. If you can, use them as a transport company (moving people around is their strength) and then follow your own routine.
