G. S.Our trip to York this past week was absolutely amazing, start to finish. The hotel room was very clean, comfortable, and convenient to train station and city attractions. Our trip included a stay at The Grand, dinner at The Bow Inn at Grays Court, wine tasting at Little Wold, and pub lunch at the glass and pipe. York is very easy to navigate, including visits to York Minster and the various museums and gardens. We also enjoyed the Christmas Market that was in full operation as well as a local brewery house. Wow! York is a fantastic UK destination. Many thanks to SmoothRed for setting up our trip.
K. K.Our second wine tour with SmoothRed and it was just as good as the first one. Our hotel in Bordeaux was lovely and very central. Our two wine guides were charming and knowledgeable and the various chateaux SmoothRed arranged for us to visit were fascinating. Transfers and everything else went like clockwork. I can't recommend SmoothRed highly enough.

D. W.When visiting Carcassone we also wanted to try the wines of the area. SmoothRed have arranged previous successful tours so again was our first port of call. There organisation from flights, hotel to wine tours was exceptional. They are without doubt value for money with the quality you receive.
If the region is unknown to you then I recommend a visit as the wines have improved to a good quality.
On one of the visits we arrived with the grapes and willing joined in the line to unload to the press. It was at Mas Gabriel where we tasted the juice of the freshly pressed grapes. There were many other beautiful sites and Carcassone itself is a must although you can no longer see the art attached to the walls.
Highlight for us was a feast amongst the vines prepared by tour guide Marcel's wife Petra.
C. C.Absolutely cannot fault a single thing about the trip. The wine tasting and cheese on the first night was superb. The hotel was so central, everything we wanted to see was within a 10 minute walk. The wine tour on the second day was such a fantastic experience, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The tour operator was lovely and very friendly and she encouraged us to ask questions.
We went to three different vineyards and tasted around 12 different wines and learned all about the region and its wines, soils, grapes etc. Truly an eye opening experience for some one who loves to drink red wine but doesn't know an awful lot about it (although that has changed somewhat after this trip!)
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. It is an experience my friends and I will never forget.

S.Our experience with SmoothRed was – pardon the pun – incredibly smooth! Within a very short time of submitting a request for a wine-focused trip to the Bordeaux region of France, my partner and I were connected with Adam, the founder of SmoothRed, and feeling a lot less anxious about our upcoming trip. Adam and his team took the time to understand our travel preferences (we like to be very active!) and ensured we had a wonderful itinerary planned for a 9-day trip. We concluded our trip feeling we had experienced the best the Bordeaux region had to offer and felt extremely well taken care of. From the exceptional winery visits arranged on such short notice to the amazing restaurants we dined in to the absolutely fantastic guides that accompanied us and really taught us about wine and the region's history, we were incredibly pleased with our experience. C.After years of researching, planning and scheduling our own vacations, I decided that due to time constraints and the complexities associated with the trip we wanted to take, that we needed to reach out to a travel company to help us plan our trip to France. We were referred to SmoothRed to plan our trip. Adam was extremely helpful, professional, knowledgeable and patient in asking questions to help guide the experience. After reviewing several iterations of the itinerary, we settled on a fabulous 10-day journey to Burgundy, Lyon, Bordeaux. Paris and Champagne. The SmoothRed team is highly professional and organized. After the itinerary was confirmed and deposits made, we worked with Marieke, a SmoothRed team member, who facilitated our trip details including reservations for hotels, transportation, tours and even making dinner reservations on our behalf. She was also available during the trip to take care of us.
Not having any other travel company experience to compare it to, I can only say that we found their service to be incredibly helpful and felt that we received tremendous value for the investment. We would definitely use them again.
C. V.SmoothRed organised an amazing holiday for my Mum and I- we went to Bordeaux for three nights and stayed in a wonderful hotel. We had the perfect mixture of trips and free time and the visits to the Chateaus were wonderful. From start to finish, my experience of booking the holiday was great- excellent customer service and I loved the travel pack that was sent before we departed. I will definitely be booking another trip with SmoothRed again!
