We had a wonderful holiday aboard the Iris, sailing around the Cyclades Islands in Greece. Mark, our friendly Skipper was very competent due to his years of experience and Lucy and Jake were the best crew! We would love to go sailing with them again sometime in the future.

My friends and I had a wonderful experience sailing with Yacht Getaways in August on their Cyclades Explorer route. Our skipper Mark and crew, Jake and Lucy, were fantastic! They made the whole experience feel safe, exciting, and very comfortable. The stops and sights on this route were such a perfect taste of what the Cyclades have to offer. If there was any downside, it was that our catamaran, and particularly our dinghy, (through no fault of our crew) wasn’t in the best of shape, but the cooperative weather and stellar attitudes of our crew made up for it. This company offers a great value option for those wanting to experience sailing without paying through the nose, and I would highly recommend this experience.

We sailed Tahiti, it was awesome. I can't say enough about the crew and Bora Bora, it's is majestic. The fish in the Coral gardens are amazing. I wish I could go back!

Spent a week sailing the Cyclades with Mark, Lucy & Jake. Was an amazing experience and the crew was excellent adapting the trip to the weather to make sure we saw some amazing places and making everyone on board feel comfortable! Fantastic time and definitely recommend

We used them to arrange A week around Corfu....no 2 days have been the same each one better than the last. This has to be a must sail . Thank you for Emma and the staff in the office for allowing us to rearrange to now when it is safe to travel.super clean boats with regular temperature checks for all crew and passengers made us feel safe and relaxed. It has been a great experience from start to finish. The dream team Hector skipper (hector our protector ) and Helen our host what a great team. Hector has an incredible knowledge of sailing and the islands with everyone knowing him both other skippers and locals on shore he really is a great asset. Helen should write a book with her amazing recipes and meals we ate like kings and queens. We have had the best time and have made new friends and created memories to last a life time. Cannot wait to re book and start planning the next trip . Thank you team yacht getaways

Our party of friends sailed around the Sicilian islands September 2020 on a superior catamaran with our incredible crew Euan and Natalie.. what a team. Euans professional sailing ability and sense of humour and Natalies organisation and local knowledge of the islands, preparing incredible breakfasts and lunches, they did not disappoint.
We were really happy our holiday went ahead during the unsettled Summer re; the pandemic. We were all reassured at how safe the whole environment felt.
If you want the most relaxing holiday in these unsettled times... book it, you won't regret it.

What a fun 7 days of Sailing the Greece Islands with Yacht Getaways, with Skipper Colin and 1st Mate Jo. We got to see a lot of the Greek Islands, taste local foods and cruised with a small group of amazing people. Would highly recommend as an alternative to Big Cruise Ships where you are herded around like cattle. This is for people who love boating/sailing on smaller vessels with a relaxed itinerary.

I used Yacht Getaways to explore Croatia. It was some of the best time I've had to date, and i visit Croatia every two years. The experience was unreal. You get to see islands from a different perspective.
The food was great. The company was great. Skipper was accommodating and hostess was friendly.
I'm in the process of booking in another sail for summer 2018 - visiting different islands and locations, only this time on a catamaran - really looking forward to it.

Unfortunately the Quality of boats let you down.
We did 2 separate legs in 3 weeks with Yachting Getaways. Croatia and Cyclades Greece one week later.
We had a Superior catamaran in Croatia (CZen) and Premium catamaran (Calebasse FF) in Greece. Both vessels were 8-10 years old.
The standard of boat really let them down in both cases which was unfortunate since we thought our crew overall were amazing.
We elected to leave the boat early as well, we simply had enough of the cramped conditions, smell and degree of maintenance required on both vessels.
If you don’t set your expectations too high and happy to ‘camp on water’ it would be fine, however with the premium price we found it to be substandard and would not consider another tour with Yachting Getaways unless the quality of the boat could be guaranteed.

Yacht getaways good.
First read my review on Beware of cabin 5. Because of the drastic difference in my feelings about the cabin and booking process and the actual trip I decided to write two separate reviews.
Now on to the good!
Rosie and Adam were our crew. THEY WERE AMAZING! Every morning I would wake up mad about cabin 5 and when I would see them they immediately brightened my day. They were made for this job! Both have personalities that just scream customer service and fun all while being the upmost professionals and safe.
Rosie made delicious meals every day and they both gave great recommendations for places to visit on each island. They take their job seriously and do it with pride. They worked great as a team and we found out we were lucky to have two trained skippers on board. ———— We had two anniversaries and a birthday. They gave a sweet card and champagne for each anniversary and Rosie baked a cake for the birthday!
I really think the crew can make all the difference between a fabulous time and an uncomfortable one on a cruise like this. Rosie and Adam made it fabulous!!!! I will be requesting to travel with them again!
I won’t say much about the scenery because it’s the Greek. Isles. It’s Perfect!
The boat was new and nicely laid out, with the exception of cabin 5.
I would not recommend upgrading just for the comfort of air conditioning. They can only run the AC by generator or shore power. We only had shore power at one port because of the size of the boat, and you can not run the generator all night. The one night they tried it gave a warning. Apparently, if you are in any other cabin except Cabin 5 you can open the windows and that provided enough air to keep people comfortable.
There is a small guest fridge that they ask you to apply the “one in, one out” rule to. It worked perfectly between all guest. They always had plenty of ice, snacks and wine on board. You can store a small amount of other items to be Put in the fridge later in a storage close to the fridge.
They have two paddle boards and about 5 or 6 mask and snorkel sets.
You sail from island to island stopping at beautiful little bays to snorkel and swim! We stopped at one bay that had a sunken WW11 plane and wild goats on the beach.
The wind caused us to have to port in IOS for two nights, but that was prefect. The first night we all explored town and then watched the sunset at the IOS Club. This was the best sunset of the week. IOS is a party town with plenty to do. The next day my husband and I rented a quad bike or ATV from Jacobs rental at the port. It was 30Euros. We took that ATV all over the island and ended up at a beach that Adam recommended Maganous (Maybe) it was a quiet beach about 40 minutes from the port. We rented two beds and an umbrella for. 5 Eurs. We had pizza and a bottled water for lunch all for 10euros.

Eat at Fisher’s. Market

Naxos was wonderful as well. Lots of shopping and plenty of places to eat. Go down a side street to some shops and restaurants off the waterfront for better food.
.
Overall this was a dream trip! We made great friends on the boat, and everyone had a good laugh at the size of Cabin 5.
I would highly recommend Yacht Get Aways, and Rosie and Adam as crew! They took care of everything, and we worried about nothing!

I am writing this review as I watch the Sunrise on a Greek island. After a night of walking around a lovely town, having had a fantastic dinner, and then staying up into the early morning hours laughing with follow guest.
So why and I up so early writing a negative review ? Because I am absolutely miserable in my cabin. Every night when I go to bed and morning when I wake Up I count down the nights till I can have comfort in my room again.
I originally booked my cruise on a superior class because of the route. When I realized that superior class did not have air conditioning in the rooms I requested to be moved to a prestigious class boat. I was in luck! There was availability on a prestigious the week I was traveling. I told Jade that we would take the cabin! She never mentioned that the only cabin available was the crew sized cabin. All the other boat classes have 4 rooms, prestigious has five.
A few weeks before we were to depart I took a look at the boat layout and that is when I realized there were five rooms on this boat instead of 4. The fifth cabin being the same size as the crew cabin.
I emailed Jade to ask which cabin we would have and told her I did not want the smaller cabin.
She responded with the fact that we would have cabin five, because we booked last and cabins were assigned by booking date.
I told her that we booked in September, and upgraded in March. She did not respond to that statement. She told me that I would not spend anytime in my room and that there were. 45 places to sit on the decks of the boat.(I assume she meant 4-5) I asked if there was a discount for booking the crew cabin, to which she did not reply.
Let me tell you that cabin is miserable. There is absolutely no room. Two people can not stand in the cabin at the same time. One must sit on the bed. In order to go into the bathroom, you have to close the entry door, then open the bathroom door. If the Bathroom Door is open you can not enter the room, because it blocks the entry door. There is no shower. You literally pull a curtain over the bathroom door and pull a shower head down to wash yourself while sitting on the toilet!
Don’t upgrade for air conditioning, because the AC only works on a generator that they only run during the day when you are sailing. It is hot and sticky every night in cabin 5 because there is no window to open to allow a breeze to cool the room. There is a hatch, but it doesn’t allow much air in.
BEWARE OF CABIN 5!!!!
MAKE SURE TO ASK WHAT NUMBER CABIN YOU WILL HAVE WHEN YOU BOOK! IF THEY SAY FIVE OR THAT THEY DON”T KNOW YET. DO NOT BOOK!!!!
update:
I have emailed the company and received what I feel is an honest answer about Cabin 5. Since this is the first year they have offered this larger boat they will make adjustments in the future.
After that interaction I changed my review to a 3 star review of the cabin. The overall cruise and crew received a 5 star!
